Hey friends it is that time of the month when I go to the nursing home in my community to create cards with the residents, so I thought I would share with you one of the cards I created for this Friday’s class. The first cards is the one we will be making at the home and the second is a stepped up version.
I began with a Basic White card base because my friends at the home prefer white cards, but I wanted to add a bit of color, so I took a Blending Brush and added a bit of color to each of the strips. For this first sample I used Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green. I used the Tailored Tag (sorry I think it is retired) to create the greeting.
Here is my stepped up version. I have tried using bling in these classes, but sometimes it frustrates the residents as they don’t always have the coordination they would like.
This is basically the same card, I just moved the black accent piece on the greeting to the bottom and added a few gems. The Melon Mambo and the Mango Melody panels are the same, but on this one I decided to go with Bermuda Bay instead of Granny Apple Green.
