Cutest Halloween Bundle of Ghosts!

Happy Halloween -I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!

I thought I would share one last Halloween card using the Cutest Halloween Bundle. I began with a Basic Gray card base and added a layer of Basic Black CS that I ran through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine using the Timber 3-D Embossing folder. I cut a black spider web using the Frightful Tag Dies and the ghosts and greeting are from the Cutest Halloween Bundle

The greeting is stamped in Memento Black ink on Basic White CS which I cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Enjoy your day!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Love the Lord With All Your Heart-Sunday Wisdom

Today’s gospel causes us to reflect on our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Love the Lord with all your heart, all your mind, and all your strength. When we focus on that deep love, then loving others is easy. We want what is truly good for each other. Only this deep personal relationship with our Lord will help us to let go of the wounds from our past, let go of our worry for the future and truly live in the present moment.

We can focus on the present moment and strive to live as the saints, one ordinary moment at a time then we too, will become saints. So let us all ask ourselves, How can I put God first in my life? How can I live one moment at a time in faithful trust? How can I better serve those around me?

I pray you all will have a peaceful day!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Holiday Thank You Cards-Favorite Things Friday!

One can never have too many Thank You cards on hand and while one of my favorite things is creating Christmas cards, I also love it when our Holiday sets can be used for more than one occasion.

Today I am featuring two thank you cards that I created using the Penguin Place Bundle and the Angel of Peace stamp set from the July -December mini catalog. If you have not had a chance to check these out, here they are!

The first card was created using a Basic White card base and Pacific Point ink. I love these adorable penguins and you can dress them up for whatever however you want. The stars in this set stamp beautifully and will be great for a variety of occasions.

I punched out my penguins using the coordinating punch in the bundle, but you could also stamp them directly onto the cardstock. The feet were stamped directly to the Basic White card panel and I just popped the penguins on top.

Supplies

  • Pacific Point CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base)
  • Basic White CS-4 x 5¼ (2), 3×4
  • Penguin Place Bundle
  • Pacific Point Ink
  • Calypso Coral Ink
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

My second card was created with the Angels of Peace stamp set. I love how soft and elegant this set is and it is perfect for a sweet thank you card. Add a little color and a few pearls and you have a super sweet, but incredibly simple thank you card.

Supplies

  • Night of Navy CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base)
  • Basic White CS-4 x 5¼ (2), 1 x 2
  • Angels of Peace Stamp Set
  • Artistically Inked Bundle
  • Night of Navy Ink
  • Watercolor Pencils
  • Basic Jewel Pearls
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals

Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Peaceful Cabin in the Summertime!

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Virginia Beach to stay with my mother -in-law, Connie, while my sister-in-law and her husband took a mini vacation to Cape May. Sorry no time to prepare a Weekly Wednesday video, but next week I will be back in full video swing. Up until the COVID lockdown, Connie was traveling between St. Louis to stay with us and Virginia Beach. Unfortunately she is no longer able to travel, so we visit as often as we can.

While sadly there is no video today, I am excited to share with you a Summertime scene using the Peaceful Cabin Bundle. This is perfect for a masculine birthday. I love creating cards with this bundle. It is in the July – December mini catalog, so if you want to add it to your stamping supplies, there is no time like the present.

Supplies

  • Garden Green CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base)
  • Basic White CS-4 x 5¼ (2)
  • Peaceful Cabin Bundle
  • Artistically Inked Stamp Set
  • Garden Green Ink
  • Soft Suede Ink
  • Early Espresso Ink
  • Blending Brushes
  • Balmy Blue Ink
  • Water Painters
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

Directions

  • Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
  • Stamp cabin with Soft Suede ink on Basic White CS panel. Use the water painters to add color to the roof and ground.
  • Mask the cabin and stamp trees with Garden Green ink.
  • Again use the water painters to add a bit of Soft Suede beneath the trees.
  • Use the blending brushes to add a Garden Green lawn and a Balmy Blue Sky. Stamp clouds with Balmy Blue ink.
  • Stamp Happy Birthday greeting from Artistically Inked in Early Espresso or Memento Black ink.
  • Attach panel to card front.
  • Add 4 x 5 ¼ Basic White panel to the inside and decorate as desired.

I think the fall weather here in St. Louis is here to stay, so this may be my last summer time card, unless of course, we get an Indian Summer this year. I hope you will create something beautiful today and share it with others. Don’t forget to use the host code located on the right side panel of this post.

Festive Fall and Gorgeous Leaves

Thanks again to my friend Cherie from Columbia, MO who created both of today’s cards. She came to visit at the beginning of October to attend the Cards and Cocktails event that I hosted for World Card Making Day. That was great fun and we are definitely doing that again, although I don’t think I am going to wait until next October! I was thinking of a January event to ring in the new year, stay tuned for details on when and where!

Both of today’s cards were created using the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set. It is quite appropriate as the weather here in St. Louis is quite brisk. The leaves are beginning to turn, but are not as vibrant as the ones in our card samples,! Oh well, perhaps next year.

Supplies for Card #1

  • Night of Navy CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base)
  • Basic White CS-4 x 5¼ (2), 1 x 2
  • Basic White CS-3¼ x 4¼, 1 x 1

  • Nature’s Harvest Bundle (greeting)
  • Garden Green CS- 3 x 4
  • Garden Green Ink

  • Crushed Curry Ink
  • Night of Navy Ink
  • Smoky Slate Ink
  • Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

Directions for Card #1

  • Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
  • Stamp leaves and add dotted sprinkles to Basic White CS panel and layer to card front.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine to crop colored leaves from the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle and add to card front.
  • Stamp greeting from Nature’s Harvest in Night of Navy ink on 2 x 2 White CS panel and crop with label die in bundle.
  • Attach greeting label with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Add 4 x 5 ¼ white panel to the inside and decorate as desired.

Card # 2 is again using the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle and some rich fall colors. It is stepped up from the last card and I absolutely love how it turned out. This would make such a great male birthday card or even a sympathy card.

Supplies for Card #2

  • Soft Suede CS-5½ x 8½, (card base), 3 x 4
  • Very Vanilla CS- 4 x 5 ¼ and 1 ½ x 3 1/2
  • Cherry Cobbler CS -2 ½ x 2 ½
  • Garden Green CS – 1 ½ x 2

  • Nature’s Harvest Bundle
  • Soft Suede Ink
  • Garden Green Ink
  • Crushed Curry Ink
  • Pumpkin Pie Ink
  • Cherry Cobbler Ink
  • Stitched Rectangles
  • Bakers Twine

Directions for Card #2

  • Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
  • Stamp leaves and add dotted sprinkles to Very Vanilla CS, Stamp the wood image along the right side of the CS panel and layer to card front.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine to crop colored leaves and the Soft Suede twig from the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle and add to card front.
  • Stamp greeting from Nature’s Harvest in Soft Suede ink and crop with the Stitched Rectangle dies.
  •  Add bakers twine bow and layer to front of card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add 4 x 5 ¼ Very Vanilla panel to the inside and decorate as desired.

Angels of Peace-Make It Monday #30

It is time for another Make It Monday tutorial and so today, I bring to you a multitude of angles. Just kidding, only one beautiful angel. This is a great Christmas set, but I really love it because you can also use some of the sentiments for a Thank You card.

The larger sentiment on this card is from the For Unto Us stamp set, very Holidayish! And I just love how the Basic Jewel Rhinestones add the right amount of sparkle!

Happy Anniversary to Me! Favorite Things Friday

One of my absolute Favorite Things is being married to the most wonderful man in the world, or in the entire Solar System, as my daughter used to say….when she was three year old. LOL

Really, I am very blessed to be celebrating 33 years with my beloved husband today! Wow! I am not sure where those years went, but I know I am extremely blessed and the honeymoon continues! We have two beautiful children who are now young adults.

Time certainly has marched on and I am loving each new chapter of my life with my beloved. I created this card especially for him and thought I would share it with you too. I just love this adorable little owl from the Frightfully Tag Dies.

I began with a Misty Moonlight cards base and added a layer of Basic White cardstock. The branches and the leaves are from the Birds and More stamp set. I used Soft Suede for the branches and Old Olive for the leaves.

I also took a blending brush and some Balmy Blue Ink over the Basic White CS to add a soft sky look. I am not sure if you can see that in the picture, but it is quite lovely in person.

Unfortunately in all my Stampin’ Up! toys I do not have a large Happy Anniversary stamp, so this one is retired, so sorry! But the Misty Moonlight Ink is still available. The greeting is stamped on Basic White CS and cropped with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I hope you have a blessed day. Create something beautiful to share with others!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Peaceful Cabin-Snowy Christmas

Today’s card reminds me of a cabin in Tahoe. What a perfect weekend this would be to spend time in a far off cabin surrounded by snow. Throw in a fireplace, a bottle of wine and a few Hallmark Movies and I am there! Oh and of course no alarm. LOL

Supplies

  • Basic White CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base), 3 ¾ x 5, 4 x 5
  • Basic Black C3-7/8 x 5-1/8
  • Shaded Spruce CS-4 x 5¼
  • Peaceful Cabin Bundle
  • Shaded Spruce Ink
  • Early Espresso Ink
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals

Directions

  • Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
  • On 4 x 5 White CS panel stamp cabin in Early Espresso Ink and then crop cabin and several snowflakes with coordinating dies.
  • Stamp trees in Shaded Spruce ink on 3 ¾ x 5 panel of white and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach cabin.  Add snowflakes and stamp sentiment using Memento Black ink.
  • Layer the white panel to Basic Black CS and then to Shaded Spruce panel.
  • Attach all layers to card front.
  • Decorate inside as desired.

This really is a perfect snow scene. I love the soft touch of the added snowflakes. This card looks complicated, but honestly it was really easy. If you got an assembly line going, this could be the perfect holiday card!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects center around Harvest & Hope, so prepare yourself for gratitude and love in Fall-themed projects. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Sorry no Weekly Wednesday video as I am taking care of my mother in law for a week or so and that means no time to film, but I am excited to share with you two cards for our blog hop today.

The first card was made by my friend Cherie who came to visit earlier this month. This is actually a card she made on our World Card Making Day Weekend. Cherie is super great at creating very intricate cards! Thanks Cherie! I will do my best to give you directions.

Supplies and Directions

Nature’s Harvest Bundle
Basic White CS– 5½ x 8½ (card base). Score in landscape position 4¼.
Cherry Cobbler CS -4 x 5¼
Basic White CS 3¾ x 5 -Emboss with Time Worn Type Embossing Folder
Crumb Cake Ink
Soft Suede Ink

Blending Brushes-Use brushes to apply Crumb Cake Ink over embossed images
highlight some areas with Soft Suede Ink
Cork Paper-2 x3. Layer on top of embossed/inked layer
Pear Pizzazz CS-2 x 4 Crop leaves with dies from bundle
Nature’s Harvest Bundle-Stamp greeting in Memento Black Ink and crop with die in bundle
Attach to card front w/Stampin’ Dimensionals
Stamp flower, crop with dies and use Stampin’ Markers to color: Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz
Wrap Diamond Weave Ribbon @ 4 ½ around embossed and Cherry Cobbler layer and then attach to card front

The second card is a super simple Thanksgiving card that I created using the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper pack.

I began with a Cajun Craze card base and used Cajun Craze Ink for the Happy Thanksgiving greeting. The greeting is from the Banner Year stamp set. I am telling you this crazy little set is so stinkin’ versatile!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Jan Dufour at Stamp Me Silly. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
