Fall Pumpkins-Favorite Things Friday!

Happy Fall Ya’ll! It is finally feeling like fall here in St. Louis and it looks like a great weekend for a baseball game.

The fall leaves are beginning to change colors, the Pumpkin Patch at Theis Farm opens October 1st and the Cardinals are going to the playoffs, and best of all my daughter is coming to STL for the last home game series. Go Cards! Now that is what I call a Favorite Things Friday and it doesn’t get much better than that!

And after all that I guess you are expecting a baseball card! Oh well, an early Thanksgiving card will have to do. I figure, there is no time like the present to plan ahead.

I created my panels by adding designer series paper to the strips of Mossy Meadow CS and added them to the front of a Cajun Craze card base. The greeting is stamped with Cajun Craze in on Very Vanilla and added to another panel of Mossy Meadow. This is a super quick design that is great card for using those left over scrap pieces of designer series paper.

Happy Birthday Apple Harvest

I am excited to share another Apple Harvest card with you. My Pastor is celebrating his birthday today and I thought I would share with you the card I created for him.

I began with a Basic White card base and added a piece of the black Gingham Cottage checked DSP to the left side of my card. I stamped the large and smaller apples in Memento Black ink and with the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine cropped them using the new coordinating dies in the bundle.

Color in the images with the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and attach to the card front using a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the birthday greeting from Peaceful Moments in Memento Black and my card was complete. I had fun creating this and hope it brings a little birthday sunshine into my Pastor’s special day.

Happy Anniversary

Anniversary & Love-Weddings, Flowers-Birds-Butterflies-Nature /

Wedding anniversaries can be such a special time to celebrate memories, no matter how old you get. When I got married many years ago, June was the most popular month to get married. Did you know that for the past four years, the most popular wedding month has been in October? Who knew I was a trend setter! My anniversary is actually October 22nd. According to our Real Weddings Study, 35% of all weddings take place during the fall, followed closely by summer (29%). Who knew?

Well, later this month my older sister is celebrating her wedding anniversary and so I am sharing her card with you today. She is not a blog follower, so chances are this will not be a spoiler alert. LOL! I used the Fond of Autumn stamp set and while it is a fall set, it is very versatile and as you can see this looks a bit more springy than fall. Love it!!

My card today was created using our Petal Pink cardstock. I cut a second layer of Petal Pink and used the scoring tool to create some line at the top and bottom of the panel. I colored the image with Stampin’ Blend Markers and then added a bit of bling to the center of each flower. The Happy Anniversary sentiment if from Celebrating you and is stamped with Memento Black ink.

Happy Anniversary to all you lovely couples who were married in the fall!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s September Blog Hop! This month’s blog hop is dedicated to leaves. As the weather begins to cool, the leaves begin to change colors and fall from the trees. I am loving this theme because I love Fall. I love the changing of the leaves, the falling of acorns and of course the cooler weather. I love to start the day with a hot cup of coffee on a cool crisp fall morning. I hope my card today captures the changes of colors of fall leaves. I used Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake inks.

I embossed the front of my card with the Leaf Fall 3-D Embossing folder and I added a few of the gold Adhesive Backed Seasonal Sequins featured in the July- December mini catalog. If you missed these gems you are going to want to check out the sequins on page 9 and the embossing folder on page 53.

Best Wishes -Cottage Rose

Young love and wedding ceremonies are always such fun. It doesn’t matter what time of the year and regardless of the weather, it is a happy time for beginnings. My card today is a super simple design using navy blue and white for an elegant greeting card perfect for that special couple in your life.

I used Night of Navy cardstock to cut the floral images from the dies included in the Cottage Rose Bundle. The greeting is stamped with Night of Navy ink. I did not have any Night of Navy ribbon on hand, so I used a narrow strip of Night of Navy cardstock as a substitute.

Rustic Harvest -Favorite Things Friday

Happy Friday all! If you have been following me for awhile then you know that one of my favorite things is Fall and right now Stampin’ Up!’s Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper is my favorite fall paper. It is featured in the July – December mini catalog on pages 48,49, and 50.

Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper

I love all the vibrant colors and today, I used a piece of the pumpkin patch design. I used the pumpkin side as my accent and the opposite striped side as the background. The greeting is from Hello Harvest and punched using the Label Me Fancy punch pictured on page 153 in the 022-2023 annual catalog.
