Happy Monday! I am coming to you today from Chicago. I have been spending some quality time with my daughter and what’s not to love about that, plus, Chicago is great. I love just hanging out and doing nothing, well, maybe a little crafting. If you ever visit be sure to check out Black Dog Gelato on Damen Ave. It is sooooo good! The flavors are always changing, but espresso chip is my favorite!
Now doesn’t that just make your mouth water! Oh so good! Plus we can walk there and back, so calories don’t count!!!!!
I am going to continue enjoying some quality time with my daughter, so there will not be a Weekly Wednesday video post or a Friday card. I hope you get to spend some quality time with family this summer and of course make time for crafting! Maybe you will use the Bright Borders stamp set and Label punch to create some gift tags for those summer birthdays, either way-Happy Stamping! Join me next week for another Make It Monday!

Did you know that Barcelona’s Sagrada Família is scheduled for completion in 2026. The final, central spire, measuring in at 566 feet, will make the cathedral the tallest church building on Earth. All spires, as well as the building’s interior and exterior, are covered with mosaic artwork. Who knew???
My card today is not a grand mosaic, but it is the Mosaic Tile Technique for stampers. While a true mosaic art piece is made up of lots of little piece fit together to create an image or design, I mimicked it by using 1 -1/4 x 1-1/4″ Basic white squares to create my own mosaic tile card. I hope you will give this technique a try.
Mosaic Tile Technique
Start with a Basic White panel, mine measures 3-3/4 x 5. Stamp and color your images or feel free to use a piece of our amazing designer series paper, either one will look great. I stamped on my white with the flowers and dotted accents from You Are Remarkable. I used Petunia Pop and Garden Green to add color with the solid images.
After you are finished with all the stamping and coloring, cut your cardstock in portrait position into 1-1/4″ strips. Two cuts will get you three strips. I guess technically you can cut in the landscape position at 1-1/4″, then you will need to make three cuts. Either way, when you have your strips, very carefully and keeping them together, cut at 1-1/4″ again until you have 12 squares aka tiles. You can use washi tape or prepositional tape to keep them together, just be super careful when you are removing the tape, you don’t want to damage any of your tiles.
Cut a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock and begin placing your tiles making sure you have even borders. I like to work in a top and bottom corner to start off. Once you have your first row with spacing down it is easy to keep adding tiles. I also like to use the Tombow liquid glue as it gives you a little more wiggle room to position tiles before it dries.
Then all you have to do is decide on a greeting and add it to your card front. I stamped my Happy Birthday from The Right Words and used Stampin’ Dimensional to attach them to my card front. This is a really fun card, but notice how I did not add this to our Five Minute Friday series. I just takes a little bit more time to be sure all your tiles are straight. That really is the hardest part. I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Happy Stamping!

Now through the end of June you can purchase any suite and get a second suite at 50% off. Or you can purchase any bundle within a suite and get a second bundle in a different suite at half off. It is a great deal. All the products within the suites are buy one get one 50% off. So grab that cocktail, make your list, and let’s get crafting. CLICK HERE to see all the suite opportunities!
I started a piece of Basis White cardstock, my heat tool, some Versa Mark ink, and my white embossing powder. Depending on what you want on your cheers and sip card, stamp images in Versa Mark ink and then white embossing powder. This will give you the foundation for all your stamping. Now you are ready to add some color. I choose Daffodil Delight, Summer Splash, and Flirty Flaming.
I played around with a combination of sponge daubers, blend markers and blending brushes. The blending brushes were super easy for the larger glasses while the sponge daubers were great for the tiny fruit. Be sure to wipe off the excess color with a soft towel so your embossed edges are well defined.
I did use a bit of black embossing powder for the greeting because I really wanted it to pop. I used paper snips to create my banner and I was pleased at how it turned out. Of course the Summer Splash cocktail made me long for a real something fun, but it has been many of moons since my bartending days, so I am not even sure what that would be called. Summer Splash sounds fun, maybe some gin and a little blue curacao. Just sayin’.
Either way I hope you enjoy today’s video, Happy Stamping!
