Wisteria Wishes-Hang In There!

Our card today is super simple with just a little layering and a few three stamps. I am using the Wisteria Wishes set that will be retiring in a few weeks.

I posted a card last year where I used these flowers to create a Christmas winter scene. I will post that card at the end of this post, but for we say good-bye to Wisteria Wishes, so “Hang In There” seems like an appropriate greeting.

#blessedbycards

The colors I chose for today’s creation, Blackberry Bliss and Shaded Spruce. With just these two deep colors I layered the panels and with just three stamps from the set, this card comes to life. Enjoy creating with this bundle because the dies are beautiful as well.

And now for the winter scene card using the flowers turned upside down.

These flowers take on a whole new look when they are stamped upside down. I used Soft Succulent and Shaded Spruce to create my trees. Happy Stamping!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Rain or Shine Always Thinking of You!

I am really going to miss this Rain or Shine Designer Series paper, but am so glad this cute bundle will not be retiring. Well, the stamps will not retire, but if you want to save 10% by ordering the bundle, now is the time. The bundle price will not be in the next catalog, so go ahead and treat yourself today. Be sure to use the current host code at the bottom of this post so you can earn the free April Virtual Stamp Camp!

#blessedbycards

I started with a Calypso Coral card base and cut a 2¾ x 4 piece of DSP that I mounted to a layer of Basic Black. I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut the turtle and a few umbrellas. If you don’t have our Paper Snips, they are totally worth the investment. I tried cutting with another brand of small scissors and it just did not have the same smoothness and precision. Again, at only $11 they are totally worth the investment.

The greeting is from Nestled Friends and is stamped with Memento Black ink. I really love all the characters in the paper pack and in the bundle, but I think the turtle is my absolute favorite. He is both cute and mischievous-so stinkin’ cute. Happy Stamping. I know you will have fun creating with this amazing paper.

Alleluia! He Is Risen! Sunday Wisdom

Alleluia, Christ is risen! And I pray we all allow that to change everything, because it does.  Jesus bore the sins and pains of all mankind so that you and I and all our brothers and sisters everywhere could have eternal life.

Through His cross and resurrection, Jesus opens a new life and a new way to the Father for all of us. We can all experience the power of His love and our freedom from sin.  When we allow Christ to enter into our lives daily, everything changes.  Christ longs for us.  He thirsts for us and is always waiting for us to invite Him in.

The ways and views of today’s world should cause us to pause, but we should never lose hope. One day every wrong will be made right.  Jesus promises this and He died for it, so when we are waiting for an answer to a prayer that seems to never come, don’t lose hope. When we are pressed in by the evils of this world, don’t lose hope.  When we are not sure if we can go on, press on and don’t lose hope.

We must never lose sight of the victory of the cross.  So together, let us embrace our individual crosses and lift each other up in prayer.  Remember my friends, there is always hope, hope in the victory of the resurrection, hope in the love and Christ and hope in the love we have for each other.

Wildflower Path-Favorite things Friday!

With so many of our favorites sets retiring, I thought I would share a flower card that I created using the Wildflower Path stamp set. This set will be retiring at the end of the month, but hurry and add it to your cart before supplies are sold out.

#blessedbycards

I began with a Pool Party card base and stamped the grass on the bottom portion of the front of the card base with Old Olive ink. The Basic White CS measures 3½ x 4¾ and I stamped the grass with Old Olive ink, stamping off for the longer blades. The vines are also stamped with Old Olive ink and the flowers with Polished Pink.

I mounted the Basic White panel on an Old Olive panel that is slightly larger than the white and attached it to the card front. The greeting is stamped with Polished Pink ink.

Easter Bunny-Celebrate His Love

It is almost Easter so I thought I would share with you this super cute bunny card. This card looks really complicated but it isn’t. Time consuming maybe, but trust me it is not hard. I used the Easter Bunny and the Rejoice in Him sets.

I started with a Crumb Cake card and added a layer of Early Espresso CS and then a layer of Pear Pizzazz that I embossed with the new Cane Weave embossing folder. These adorable bunnies were stamped on Crumb Cake CS and colored with colored pencils and a Blender Pen. I used Early Espresso, Basic Gray, and Basic White pencils. This is a water coloring technique that is perfect for shading these bunnies.

And oh, a little pink for the ears. To create the white fur on the bunnies back I used a watercolor painter and some Basic White Craft ink. I stamped the greeting with Night of Navy ink and fussy cut it out with my paper snips. Happy Stamping!

Easter Card and Candy Box-Make It Monday #103

Welcome to Holy Week my friends. We are only one week away from Easter and today I am excited to share with you two Easter Treats, a card and a super easy Candy Box. This fun box is created using only a 4 x 5 piece of cardstock and for the lid, a and a 2½ x 6 pc of Designer Series paper. Now that is amazing! Don’t forget to put the yummy treats inside and if you are feeling really generous, add a roll of cash. It all depends on who will receive these treats.

Easter Candy Box-A Closer Look!

I am making 25 boxes for my co-workers, so I decided to go with the peanut butter cup treats and not the cash. LOL Perhaps when I am blessed with grandkids, I will think about the roll of cash. Regardless of what goes in your box, I am sure you will be a blessing to others.

Happy Holy Week-Sunday Wisdom

My dear friends, as we begin Holy Week and prepare for Easter, we recall the Passion of our Lord and enter more deeply into the sufferings He took on to save and transform us all.  After all Lent is our own personal journey back to God and I pray yours has been fruitful.

This week as we turn our attention away from the busyness of our days, let us focus on the good God is already doing in our lives and remember that each time we pray we move one step closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The heart of Jesus’ message is always overflowing with love, compassion and forgiveness no matter how far we have strayed.  Our Heavenly Father is always waiting to eagerly embrace us and offer us peace.  Sometimes we just need to ask and then be still and allow God to speak to our hearts.  Remember, little is very often enough.

So as we contemplate Jesus’ unwavering, unilateral forgiveness from the cross, may we be filled with the hope of His Resurrection knowing that every little prayer and every sacrifice, no matter how small is an act of love and that is certainly treasure we will be able to take with us to Heaven.

Until next time, be blessed, Renae
