Have you ever been to the Butterfly House in St. Louis, Missouri? If not it is certainly a worthwhile adventure. The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House, a part of the Missouri Botanical Garden, is a popular attraction in St. Louis known for its lush, tropical conservatory filled with free-flying butterflies and diverse insect exhibits. It features a 8,000 square foot glass conservatory with nearly 2,000 butterflies from around 80 species. The facility also includes an insect zoo, classrooms, a theater, and a seasonal native butterfly garden. So next time you are in St. Louis, check it out because you just might see the butterfly in today’s card there. LOL

For today’s card I started with a Pretty Peacock card base. I cropped the butterfly from the bundle in both Very Vanilla and Pretty Peacock cardstock.
To the 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Very Vanilla CS, I used the round stamp from Elements of Text and stamped it in the middle w/Pretty Peacock ink. I used both splatter stamps and stamped some images in full color while other images I stamped off. I used a Blending Brush to add some Crumb Cake ink around the words and the edges of the panel. I stamped the greeting from Grateful Blessings w/Pretty Peacock ink and added it to the card front. Before adding the butterflies, I added some bling to the Very Vanilla butterfly. It is probably difficult to see, but I used liquid glue to add the Pretty Peacock butterfly and then attached the Very Vanilla butterfly only at the body, leaving the wings unattached.
I hope you enjoy creating this card and if you ever visit St. Louis, I strongly encourage you to check out the butterfly house at Botanical Gardens. If you love butterflies, you won’t regret it. Happy Stamping.
Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae
