Easter Joy Treat Box ~ Make It Monday #250

Happy Monday everyone. Easter is just around the corner and today I have a super sweet Easter Treat box that I created using the Easter Joy designer series paper pack. This pack is still available but is on the low inventory list, so hurry and get yours today. Order soon so it will arrive before Easter.

Today I have created just one box using a 4 x 6 piece of designer series paper, but I have included the scoring instructions on how you can score one piece of 12 x 12 patterned paper and create 6 fun treat boxes. Be sure to watch the video and download your free project sheet with detailed instructions.

Here is a closer look at our treat box!

This box can be created using the pattern paper of your choice making it great for not only Easter, but birthdays and holiday stocking stuffers. Yes, I know it is only March, but if you are in my craft room it is never to early to start creating Christmas crafts. LOL

Don’t forget to download your free project sheet!

Have fun creating these stinkin’ cute boxes. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me! Just put blog project question in the subject line so I am sure to see it. Happy Stamping!

Make It Monday #249-Notes of Spring

Hey friends, I am excited to share with you the March product of the month, Notes of Spring. If you don’t have this cute little set, you still have time to place a $75 order before the end of the month. I am sure you will love playing with these sweet little characters. They make great spring and Easter cards!

It is really hard to pick a favorite, but I think I am partial to the stinkin’ cute duckling. It would make a sweet birthday card for all ages. Have fun creating with this cute set. The sky is the limit!

A Closer Look at today’s cards!

I stamped and cut out my cute little duckling, but that is only because I dropped this little guy when I was stamping on my white panel. Not to worry, there are no mistakes in stamping, only creative opportunities, so I just stamped him again and used my handy dandy paper snips to cut him out. Whala, it is fixed! You can just stamp your image directly to the card panel, or stamp and crop him. Either way his is so stinkin’ cute.

I stamped and used my paper snips to crop these little ones on purpose. It was much quicker and easier than masking, but either way will work.

I usually don’t use much of the Sea Foam cardstock, but today, I guess I was in the mood for a little light colored spring. I think it turned out perfectly if I do say so myself. I love the tone on tone look. I did add a but of ink with a sponge dauber to the greeting just for a little darker highlight! Love it~

I hope you have fun playing with this sweet set. If you don’t have it, I would love for you to place a qualifying order with me, just click the Shop with Me button below! Happy Stamping!

Masking Techniques Part Two Weekly Wed. #89

Happy Wednesday all. You are half way to the weekend and the weather is looking fantastic. Of course any weather day is a good day for stamping, but sunny and warm is always nice. Today I am sharing with you a few more techniques as we continue with our masking fun.

I do hope these techniques will help you think outside the box when creating your hand-stamped cards. If you don’t have making paper, you can always use printer paper. The key is to use a thin paper so you will not have dramatic lines around your masked images. Stampin’ Up! masking paper just makes everything easier because it is adhesive backed. I love using this, especially when I am using the Blending Brushes…..so much easier!

I hope you enjoyed these techniques and that you are inspired to create something beautiful today! Happy Stamping!

Masking Techniques Part One ~Make It Monday #248

Hello my stamping friends. Due to the storms in St. Louis, this post may be posted a bit later that usual, but Praise the Lord we have power and this post will go out today. I pray that wherever you are the storms missed you as well. On Friday, I hosted a Masking Technique class and while I will not be sharing with you all of the techniques we learned. I am sharing a few masking techniques that I hope you will try. I will share a few more with you on Wednesday in the second part of this 2-part series.

One of the most important things you will need to know about masking, especially if you are creating a scene or staggering images, whatever you stamp first on your cardstock will be the image that is in front. Placing a mask on that image will allow you to stamp over the mask, thus putting the newly stamped image behind the first image you stamped.

Let’s take a closer look!

In this card I stamped the Cajun Craze pot and the leaves in it first (see video) and then the subsequent pots and leaves. I used colored pencils to create a table look and used a blender pen to smooth the lines. If you have not used the blender pens with your colored pencils, you are going to love them. Click here to check out our blender pens.

Blender Pens

The second important thing about masking, is to use high quality masking paper and to trim as close to the design as possible. Click here to check out our Masking Paper. This will minimize the gaps between your stamped images. If you do get a small gap, again the blender pen with a little ink will help hide those gap lines.

Weekly Wed. #88 Gallery Blooms Dies

Hello my stamping friends, happy Wednesday. With all the storms in the Midwest, I do pray you are all safe. My heart and prayers go out to all those affected by the latest storms and tornadoes, especially those in Michigan and Oklahoma. Let us lift up our brothers and sisters in need. I can only imagine their devastation and loss and pray for healing for all those involved.

For today’s projects I created three cards using the Gallery of Blooms dies and a few embossing folders. I am loving the new Lazy Daisy embossing folder used in card #3. I think it will be a great addition for our spring projects. It is a new online exclusive available for $11. See image below.

Make It Monday #246 Three Hexagon Birthday Cards

Happy Monday all. Today I am sharing with you three cards that I created using the Heartfelt Hexagon punch. If you don’t have this punch it is a good one. I use it for a variety of greetings, but today I thought I would think outside the box and use it for a background on two of our cards.

I think this technique would also look cool with the To the Point punch as well. Perhaps you have other punches in your stash that would work too. Use whatever is in your crafting stash and of course have fun creating!
