Did you know the poinsettia is typically considered a Christmas flower, and many people give them around Christmas time to symbolize good will and community spirit. In religious communities, the shape of the poinsettia flower is thought to symbolize the Star of Bethlehem, with the red leaves of the poinsettia symbolizing the blood of Christ.
My card today was created using the poinsettia from the Merriest Moments stamp set and the Designer Series Paper, Lights Aglow. The set and dies are returning favorites and featured on page 23 in the July-December holiday catalog.

Poinsettias can cause dogs and cats to get sick, but they are actually not poisonous. Supposedly the leaves are very bitter, so chances are your pet will not like feasting on them.
What a pretty card!
Thank you!
