Fun Fold Nail File Holder~Weekly Wed. #37

Happy Wednesday all. Today I am excited to share with you a fun fold using one piece of 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper and three scores. We are creating a nail file holder that is perfect for a stocking stuffer or a small gift for co-workers. I am planning to sell them at a craft fair this month, so I will be making a few more. They are super fast and easy. Check out the video below.

If you cannot view the video, click here or the photo below. You can also visit my YouTube Channel for all my Make It Monday and Weekly Wednesday videos.

Project Supplies

  • 3 x 6 piece of designer series paper
  • Bone Folder
  • Liquid Glue or Tear and Tape
  • Greetings of the Season Stamp Set
  • Dies from Unbounded Love
  • Scrap of Basic White and Cherry Cobbler for tag
  • Gold pearl bling
  • Cherry Cobbler Ink

This project is super simple, just score at 7/8″ on each side of 3 x 6 DSP, and at 1/4 on the bottom. If you have directional paper be sure it is facing the correct way before making your bottom score. See video for details on angle top folds.

I love that you can get two holders out of one sheet of 6 x 6 DSP. Have fun dressing up these folders with some fun Christmas tags and bling. Let me know if the comments if this is a project you will be making. Happy Stamping!

Halloween Ghost Treat Box ~ Weekly Wed. #34

Happy Wednesday all. Halloween is only 15 days away and it’s time to start thinking about those special Halloween treats. Every year I try to create something special for my little neighbor friends. I don’t send many Halloween cards, but it is fun to create a special treat box each year. My video features a Halloween Ghost Box, but stay tuned to the end of this post for a fun witch box. I am still having issues with YouTube. If the video does not display click the image below for video. CLICK HERE for my YouTube Channel.

Here are the supplies I used for today’s project.

  • Basic Black CS-(Box) 5 ½ x 7
  • Halloween DSP- 1 ¾ x 7
  • Basic White -(tag) ¾ x 3
  • Spooky Treats Stamp Set-Paper Pumpkin September 2022
  • Memento Black Ink

So I decided to make my second box a little more girly. I used the exact same method for creating the box, but switched out the stamp set. I used the witches feet from Bewitching (retired set) and the witches hat punch (also retired). I think both boxes turned out so stinkin’ cute. So use whatever Halloween stamp set you have or click here to shop for our current Halloween collection.

I hope you have fun creating those special Halloween Treat Boxes. Happy Stamping!

More Stack, Slice, Shuffle Cards!

As promised earlier this week I am sharing the three cards I created with the designer series paper from Mondays, Make It Monday tutorial. Click Here if you missed that video. I don’t really have a “Fun Fact” for today, unless you consider my first card mess up as a fun fact. When I was transporting my cut pieces of designer series panels from my video studio back to my craft room, I somehow lost a piece. Does that every happen to you? I looked and looked and for the life of me have no idea where it landed.

So instead of using a third piece of DSP on my first cards, I went paperless! LOL The birthday greeting is from Simply Said and is punched with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch.

Maybe it is not a huge mess up, but it certainly is different from the other two cards. Fun Fact: There are no mistakes in stamping, only creative opportunities. One of my stamping friends taught this to me many years ago, thanks Lonnie!

With deepest sympathy and the thank you are from Something Fancy and stamped with Misty Moonlight ink. They are cropped with some of the dies from Something Fancy! These are featured in the 2024-2025 Annual catalog.

This really is a fun technique and I hope you give it a try. Depending on the your paper choice and the way you make your two cuts, you can get some fun and interesting cards. If you missed this or any other of the videos in my Make It Monday series, search categories and select Make It Monday videos or click here! Happy Stamping!

Fun With Triangles ~ Weekly Wed. #25

Happy Wednesday. It is time again to create a card together and today we are having fun with triangles. Now I was never big on geometry but working with these triangles, cardstock and designer series paper was fun. If only I would have been able to paper craft for geometry in high school. I might have enjoyed my math classes more. I hope you enjoy today’s video!

Now like I said geometry was not my thing and to be honest I am not really big on numbers but trust me this design is super simple. All you need is a 3 x 4 piece of designer series paper and a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of coordinating cardstock. Cut both pieces on the diagonal, layer them up and tada, you have a fun triangle card.

My card base is Crumb Cake and my border pieces are Early Espresso. I also stamped the greeting from Sweetly Scripted (an online exclusive) in Early Espresso ink. You can have fun creating with different designer series patterns and colored cardstock like in the example below.

In my second cards I used the Flowering Zinnias designer series paper (also an online exclusive), a Melon Mambo card base, added a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White panel and Blackberry Bliss accent triangles. I stamped my greeting with Blackberry Bliss ink and wow, a totally different card look. Happy Stamping!
