Happy Thoughts

Thinking of You Flower and Field!

I may have mentioned a time or two that I love the new designer series paper pack, Flower and Field. It is part of the Sale-A-Bration going this month. Each sheet is filled with flowers that just make you think springtime!

Today’s card features this paper and the new Happy Thoughts stamp set.

  • Begin with a Basic Black card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”.  In landscape position, (aka along the 8½” side) score at 4 ¼”.  Fold in half to create your card base.
  • Cut one 2 x 5 ½” strips of Flower and Field Designer series paper and attach to the left side of the card base.
  • Next cut two coordinating rectangles from the Stitched so Sweetly Dies, the larger one is cut using Bumblebee cardstock and the smaller one with Basic White.
  • Stamp the Thinking of you greeting or greeting of your choice on the Basic White piece and layer together.
  • Use the Stampin Cut and Emboss machine and the In Bloom Pierced dies to crop a small flower from Bumblebee cardstock and attach to the greeting.
  • Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach the greeting rectangles to the front of the card base as shown in the image above.
  • For the inside, cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of White cardstock and attach to the inside panel.
  • Stamp the greeting from Berry Blessings in Memento Black ink.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to crop three more small flowers from Bumblebee cardstock and glue to the white panel near the greeting as shown. Use a Black Stampin’ Write marker to create the inside of the flowers.

Flower and Field Happy Thoughts

Sometimes when the weather forecast is colder than cold, a girl just wants to dream about warmer things and the Flower and Field Designer Series paper is perfect for just that.

Did you know you can get the pack of 12×12 paper FREE with a $50 order? This paper is absolutely gorgeous.

Today’s card is clean and simple and features the new Happy Thoughts set in the JJ2021 Spring mini catalog. I chose the daisy paper for my card, but I love all the patterns in this pack.

  • Begin with a Basic Black card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”.
  • Attach a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8” layer of Bumblebee cardstock to the card front.
  • Next add a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of designer series paper from the Flower and Field paper pack.
  • Stamp the greeting from Happy Thoughts on Basic White cardstock and punch out using the Label Me Lovely punch.
  • To create a coordinating frame, punch another label from Bumblebee cardstock and cut in half lengthwise. Attach to the
    top and bottom greeting.
  • Attach label to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of White cardstock and stamp the inside greeting from Happy Thoughts in Memento Black ink.
  • Stamp a daisy from the In Bloom Bundle in Bumblebee or Daffodil Delight ink.
  • Stamp the inside of the flower in Memento Black ink.
