There are so many great sets in the January – June Mini catalog that it is easy to miss some of the amazingly detailed dies. The Vine Design Bundle has many coordinating dies, but it also has three spectacular fancy dies that will make a great accent to any of your creations.
I spent the last few days with a friend and we had a good time playing these floral dies. Here is one of the cards I created. I hope you like and and that it will inspire you to create something beautiful.
- Begin with a Cherry Cobbler card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”. Fold and burnish.
- Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Gold Foil sheet and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss it with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and use liquid glue to attach it to the card front.
- Use the floral circle die from the Vine Design Bundle and cut it from a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Cut a coordinating circle from the Layering Circle Dies with Cherry Cobbler cardstock and layer the two together. Attach this to the Gold Foil embossed layering with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Heat emboss the greeting with Memento Black Ink and Clear embossing powder. First, use the Stamparatus to stamp the greeting in Memento Black ink several times onto some Cherry Cobbler cardstock and immediately add the clear embossing powder. Shake off excess powder and us the heat tool to emboss the greeting.
- Crop the greeting using the coordinating die from the Vine Design Bundle and attach to the Gold Foil embossed layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- For that finishing touch, add three gold metallic pearls to the center of the flowers.
