Well it is back to work today. I have been blessed to be off the week between Christmas and New Year’s, but now it is time to get back to reality. I am going to miss my craft room. Good news is I know what retirement looks like and I think I like it!
Today we are saying good-bye to 2020 and also farewell to the Aug-Dec mini catalog. That’s right folks, today is the last day to get those Christmas stamps from 2020. Tomorrow we usher in the 2021 SALE-A-RATION EVENT and for every $50 you spend, you earn FREE product!
My card for this post features the Pallet Thoughts and the Whiskey Business set….very manly don’t you think??? I thought it would be fun to post one last here’s to 2021 card!!!!
- Begin with a Crumb Cake card base 5½ x 8½”. Score in landscape position at 4¼”.
- Layer a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Early Espresso on card front.
- Using the Stamparatus, stamp the wooden plank stamp from Pallet Thoughts in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock, repeat several times. Cut the planks into ¾ x 4” strips.
- Layer strips unevenly onto a 3 ¾ x 5” piece of white cardstock covering the entire piece to create a wooden plank floor and even up the borders.
- Layer wooden floor on to the Early Espresso panel.
- Stamp the Whiskey Decanter and two whiskey glasses in Cinnamon Cider ink on some Very Vanilla cardstock and fussy cut with your paper snips. Use a water painter, add some color to the decanter and glasses and layer on the plank floor panel.
- Using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, cut 2021 using the Playful Alphabet dies and layer on card front.
- Stamp the Cheers to you image in Cinnamon Cider on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out keeping only the Cheers to. Layer on Cinnamon Cider and then on Early Espresso cardstock and attach to front of card.
- For the inside add a 4 x 5 ½” layer of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink.
- Stamp an image of another glass inside and color with water painters.
