Favorite Things Friday

For those of you who know me, then you know Christmas is my favorite time of the year, next to Fall. It is not the presents, but the lights. I love love love the cozy and peaceful feeling of having the Christmas light on at night and on a dreary day. It just seems to lift the spirits and gives everyone hope and joy.

Today’s card is all about joy and the greeting is from our Brightest Glow Bundle. I hope this holiday season fills you with hope, peace and joy.

I created today’s card using the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper with a Garden Green card base. The joy is from Brightest Glow and the jingle bell is from Jingle, Jingle, Jingle. This is a very basic and simple card, so I did not include measurements. Enjoy!

Jesus is the Reason for the Season and today I am happy to share a Christmas card that reflects that sentiment. I created this simple, but beautiful card using the Merriest Moments stamp set, the greeting from Hope and Peace and some of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.

I really love how this turned out and it was so super simple to create. This stamp set and many others holiday bundles are available through the end of the month. See a list below of all supplies used to create this card.

Black Friday-Favorite Things Friday or Not?

When my daughter was in late grade school and all through high school we loved the thrill of Black Friday.  Each year we would travel to Bloomington/Normal IL to see my cousins for Thanksgiving and spend the night so we could hit the stores super early on Black Friday. One of our favorite things to do Thanksgiving evening in the hotel was to thumb through the many ads in the newspaper and plan or shopping spree. Well I am sad to say those days are over.

Not because we got tired of shopping on Black Friday, but because each year there were fewer flyers in the newspaper and one by one all the stores at Eastland Mall closed. Now Black Friday starts way before Thanksgiving and shopping online is just not as exciting. 

So instead of shopping, we craft and today I am happy to share a card I created using the Decorated with Happiness Bundle and the Celebrate with Tags Bundle.

So whether you are shopping, crafting, decorating for Christmas or eating Thanksgiving leftovers, enjoy this time with family and have a blessed weekend!

One of my favorite things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is hosting in-person stamping events. Each month I host an afternoon and evening in-person stamp camp class. I love the friends I have created by hosting these events. It truly is one of my favorite things, spending time with friends and stamping of’ course.

Today’s card is just one we will be making today at camp. It features the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper, Evening Evergreen CS and the Brightest Glow stamp set. I accented the DSP with the Gold Specialty Paper featured in the 2022-2023 annual catalog. I love how elegant this card turned out.
