Happy Birthday, Make it Monday Videos, Sale-a-Bration / September 13, 2021

Today I am sharing a technique with you on how to create your own background paper using a stamp from the Artistically Inked Bundle. This technique can be adapted to a variety of stamps, but I think the Artistically Ink set creates a wonderful marbleized background effect.

I stamped directly on my Basic White cardstock, but you could also use a high quality printer paper to create your own Designers Series paper.

DIY Patterned Paper!

The Artistically Inked stamp set is perfect for creating your own designer series paper. I did a series of video’s last year on creating your own designer series paper with Forever Fern, CLICK HERE if you missed that series.

Today I used Pool Party and Fresh Freesia ink to create the DSP background and Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape for the greeting (from Biggest Wish #155052).

Cutting Measurements

All Measurement=inches CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper Landscape Position=Long side Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

Pool Party Cardstock – 5½ x 8½ (card base), 3-7/8 x5-1/8
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock – 4 x 5¼
Basic White Cardstock – 3¾ x 5
Biggest Wish Stamp Set
Artistically Inked Stamp Set
Fresh Freesia Ink
Pool Party Ink
Highland Heather Ink
Gorgeous Grape Ink
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive

Directions

Score Pool Party cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card base.
Randomly stamp image from the Artistically Inked set in Pool Party and Fresh Freesia on the white panel. NOTE: I stamped off for some of the Fresh Freesia images.
Stamp the “Happy” from Biggest Wishes in Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather and “birthday” in Gorgeous Grape and attach to the Pool Party panel and layer that to the Gorgeous Grape.
Attach the Gorgeous Grape layer to the card front and there you have a clean and simple card.
Decorate the inside of the card as desired.

Biggest Wish Meet Expressions in Ink!

Sometimes you just need some big words to make a big statement. The Biggest Wish stamp set is perfect for adding that needed touch to any card.

Since our paper is on sale 15% off this month, CLICK HERE for pdf flyer of discounted paper packs, I decided to create another designer series paper card. This one is with the Artistically Inked paper and the Biggest Wish stamp set. I added a thin strip from the Gold Foil Sheets and that was it, a super clean and simple card.

Cutting Measurements

All Measurement=inches CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper Landscape Position=Long side Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

Basic White Cardstock- 5½ x 8½ (card base)
Expressions in Ink – 2 x 5½
Gold Foil Sheet – ½ x 5½
Biggest Wish Stamp Set –
Memento Black Ink
Stamparatus
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive

Directions

Score Basic White cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card base.
Layer strip of Gold Foil cardstock to the back of a strip of Artistically Inked DSP that measures 2 x 5½ and attach to lower front of card.
Position happy birthday stamps from Biggest Wish to the Stamparatus and stamp in Memento Black ink.
Decorate the inside as desired.

Sweet Kind of Popsicle Birthday!

Nothing cools off a hot summer day like a popsicle. The Sweet Ice Cream Bundle is a fun summer set that is great for kids of all ages, even us old folks!

I started my card with a Bermuda Bay card base and added a strip of the Sweet Ice Cream Corner Designer Series paper, added three popsicles in Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. and of course finished it off with a few sprinkles.

Sweet, sweet summertime birthdays are the best!

Bermuda Bay Cardstock- 5½ x 8½ (card base)-score at 4¼

All Measurement=inches CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper Landscape Position=Long side Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

Soft Succulent Cardstock- 5½ x 8½
Basic White Cardstock- 3¼ x 4½, 4 x 5¼, 2½ x 2½
All Squared Away Bundle
Sweet Ice Cream Set
Pale Papaya Cardstock, 4 x 5¼, 1×1
Soft Succulent Cardstock 2½ x 2½
Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine
Parisian Flourish 3-D Embossing Folder
Soft Succulent Ink
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive or Liquid Glue

Directions

Score Soft Succulent in landscape position at 4¼. Fold & burnish.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss Pale Papaya panel with Parisian embossing folder and attach to card front.
Stamp greeting on lower portion of white panel and corner round the edges. Attach to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp square design in Soft Succulent on white square panel and cut to fit design using paper snips or a paper cutter.
Cut Soft Succulent cardstock with a square design from dies in All Squared Away bundle and adhere to stamped square.
Cut coordinating flower in Pale Papaya, add to square and attach square to card front as shown above,
Attach Basic White panel to inside and decorate as desired.

These squares are so fun to play with and I think these would make a good scrapbooking border. So whether your craft is stamping or scrapbooking, this bundle is a win, win for you. Happy Crafting!!!

Art Gallery Bundle
Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine
Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Merry Merlot Ink
Petal Pink Ink
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive or Liquid Glue

Directions

Score the Merry Merlot cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold & burnish.
Attach piece of Fine Art Floral DSP to lower portion of card front.
Attach Basic White panel to card front. Attach strip of Merry Merlot to hide seam.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the Stitched so Sweetly dies to crop white panel as shown.
Attach to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp greeting in Merry Merlot in the center of the cropped out white panel.
Stamp flower images in Merry Merlot and Petal Pink on white cardstock panel and crop with coordinating dies from the Art Gallery Bundle.
Attach flowers to Stitched So Sweetly frame as desired.
Attach 4 x 5¼ white panel to inside and decorate as desired.

Sand and Seashell Birthday!

June is a great month for celebrating birthdays with a summer and sand theme. The Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle is perfect for such an occasion. Todays card was created almost exclusively using designer series paper.

The sentiment is from the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle, another great set for making cards during the summer months.

Cutting Measurements

All Measurement=inches CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper Landscape Position=Long side Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

Misty Moonlight Cardstock- 5½ x 8½
Sand and Sea DSP- 4 x 5¼
Sand and Sea DSP-Seashells (fussy cut)
Misty Moonlight Ink
Paper Snips
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive or Liquid Glue

Directions

Score Misty Moonlight cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold & burnish.
Attach mulit-colored Sand and Sea DSP panel to card front.
Use Paper Snips to fussy cut seashells from the Sand and Sea DSP and attach to bottom of cards front.
Stamp greeting from Sweet Ice Cream in Misty Moonlight ink on DSP panel.
Add 4 x 5 ¼ white panel inside and decorate as desired.
