Wisdom of the Heart-Sunday Wisdom

Psalm 90:12-13 reminds us that we must gain the wisdom of the heart. God does not want us to focus on material things, He wants us to know that our true value. He wants us to see through His eye so we can be the man or woman He created us to be. This is hard because we can often be consumed with vanity and personal possessions, power, wealth etc.  But God does not want us to be of this world, He wants us to store up those things of heaven. To do this we must remain open to God’s voice.

Let us all reflect today on our personal struggle with greed and material possession.
The Lord wants to give us so much more. We all know that happiness that can be bought is only temporary.

Jesus offers us hope. When we prioritize the things that we have and focus on our life with Christ, we will find happiness. I guess we really need to ask ourselves this question, how can I help bring happiness to others using the gifts and things I already have?

Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Sweet Candy Canes-Favorite Things Friday

Christmas in July, now that is one of my favorite things, well, Christmas anytime really! I have to say it is a bit weird thinking of Christmas when it is so hot outside, but I guess that is the way it must be every December in Hawaii. I much prefer the four seasons.

Today I thought we could take a little trip down candy cane lane as my card showcases the Sweet Candy Canes bundle featured i the July-December 2022 holiday catalog. This really is a sweet bundle and when you add this to your cart you get a free SALE-a-bration product.

I began with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Real Red. I then cut a piece of the Sweetest Christmas DSP to layer on the left side of my card. The candy canes are stamped in Real Red and the Tis the Season in Night of Navy. Tis the season is from Christmas to Remember that is featured in the 2022-2023 annual catalog.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Christmas Pinecones and Metallic Rose

I can’t believe I forgot to post a card yesterday. I am not sure what I was thinking. So today, Thursday I am happy to bring you another Christmas in July card. Today’s card features a returning stamp set and dies from last year’s holiday catalog, Christmas to Remember and Christmas Pinecone Dies.

I created this card using a Night of Navy card base and used the Christmas Pinecones dies and a piece of the Rose Gold Metallic Specialty paper. If you missed this fabulous paper, it is pictured in the 2022-2023 annual catalog on page 139 and it is perfect for adding that special touch to your holiday cards.

For the tag, I heat embossed the greeting using White Embossing powder and punched using the Label Me Lovely Punch. The detailed pinecones are cut using Early Espresso cardstock. I hope you enjoyed this special Christmas in July edition and that it inspires you to create something beautiful to share with others.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae
