Supplies

  • Evening Evergreen CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base), 3-1/8”circle)
  • Painted Christmas DSP- 2 x 5½ and 2-7/8”circle
  • Basic White CS-1 x 3, 3 x 4, 4 x 5¼  
  • Christmas Season Bundle
  • Peaceful Deer Stamp Set
  • Soft Suede Ink
  • Early Espresso Ink
  • Layering Circles Dies
  • Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

Directions

  • Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
  • Layer 2 x 5½ Painted Christmas DSP with small brown pinecones to the left side of card front..
  • Next use the Layering Circle Dies and use the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine to crop a circle from Evening Evergreen CS and the Painted Christmas DSP (colorful pinecones). Layer together and attach to card front. 
  • Stamp the small pinecones in Soft Suede and Early Espresso ink and crop with coordinating dies from bundle. Create as many pinecones as desired.  I layered two on the circle, one on the lower portion of the card and one inside.
  • Stamp the greeting in Early Espresso ink on small white CS out with small label from Seasonal Label Dies. 
  • Layer greeting across lower portion of circle on card front.
  • Attach 4 x 5¼ white panel to the inside and decorate as desired.

Today’s card features the Angels of Peace stamp set pictured in the July-December 2021 mini catalog. These sweet angels make adorable Christmas cards and tags! I love creating holiday cards with our holiday designer series paper packs. It is super fast and easy.

Supplies

  • Cherry Cobbler CS- 8½ x 5½ (card base)
  • Cherry Cobbler CS- 3 x 4  
  • Tidings of Christmas DSP – 2 x 5¼
  • Very Vanilla CS-2¾ x 3¾ , 2¼” circle, 4 x 5¼
  • Angels of Peace Stamp Set
  • For Unto Us Stamp Set
  • Layering Circle Dies
  • Evening Evergreen Ink
  • Cherry Cobbler
  • Blender Pen
  • Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
  • Basic Jewel Rhinestones
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals

Directions

  • Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish.
  • Stamp angel in Evening Evergreen ink on Very Vanilla rectangle and greeting from For Unto Us on 2 ¼” very vanilla circle.   
  • Layer the angel on 3 x 4 panel of Cherry cobbler and attach to card front.
  • Add rhinestone to the greeting and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach to lower right corner of angel.
  • Use the blender pen and Cherry Cobbler ink to add a touch of color to the bird.
  • Layer 4 x 5 ¼ very vanilla panel to the inside and decorate as desired.

Prepare the Way! ~Sunday Wisdom

In today’s gospel John the Baptist prepares the way of the Lord, thus fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy. Advent is a time of coming to Christ and it announces to us all that -We matter to God!  God will never abandon us.  God is constantly calling us back to him with hearts and hands and voices. We must trust that God’s words are true and let go of all our worries and concerns by continually seeking God’s will in our lives.

The Season of Advent offers us an opportunity to welcome the Holy Spirit and to open our hearts to a journey of love.
Advent is a faith journey into which we are all invited.  So we have to ask ourselves……..How strong is my faith?  What causes me to doubt? 

Advent takes us to an all new level, an attitude adjustment if you will.  And with this new adjustment comes a change of heart, one that believes and announces Christ’s forgiveness, allowing us all to live our life’s journey more open to God’s grace.
