Quite Curvy Bundle meets leftover hearts!

How do you feel about leftovers? I mean you either love them or hate them, right? As long as it is something I love like pizza, shrimp, chicken kabobs or anything Chinese I am happy OK with leftovers.

However, when it comes to my crafts, I think leftovers are awesome, especially cardstock. I save most of my scraps and have them organized by color. Do you save your scraps? What do you do with your scraps? Leave me a comment about how you feel about your crafting leftovers and if/or how you store your cardstock scraps and you would be the next winner.

Last week, we had a comment challenge about favorite go-to colors and let’s give it up for Sarah C. who will be getting a pack of Stampin’ Dimensionals…..her favorite go-to colors are Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party! Congrats Sarah!!!

This week’s comment challenge is all about leftovers, yup, crafting leftovers, so again leave me a comment on how you feel about your crafting leftovers and if/or how you store your cardstock scraps and you could be the next winner.

This week, I will be giving away a pack of the NEW Resin Hearts Embellishments from the JJ2021 Spring catalog. Please leave your comment before midnight on Saturday 2/14.

And now the card created from leftovers! If you missed the original card post, CLICK HERE!

  • Begin with a Basic Cherry Cobbler card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”.
  • Using the leftover Flower and Field Designer Series Paper, cut or punch a few more hearts from the designer series paper. (This will all depend on the heart shapes of your choice.) Attach this to the leftover curvy piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
  • On the left side of your card front attach a 2 ¼ x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock.
  • To the right side of the card, attach the Flirty Flamingo and Flower and Field DSP panel created from the leftovers.
  • Using the Stamparatus, stamp the sentiment from the Quite Curvy Bundle along the curve in Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • Add one of the hearts cut from the Flower and Field Designer Series paper pack and add some gold metallic pearls.
  • For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of White cardstock and layer on the inside.
  • Attach a few more leftover hearts from the Flower and Field Designer Series Paper pack to the top and bottom of the white panel.
  • Add a sentiment of your choice, or leave it blank as in the sample picture above.

  1. Cute card!
Where I keep my paper scraps is complicated. Small dsp scraps are in a wallet folder. Larger ones go back in the package with the remaining paper. I store card stock in folders by group – brights, etc. – and scraps go in the front of each folder. Some die cut shapes go in the related stamp case in the sleeve, and I have a stamp case for those, too. A very few go with the dies, tucked between the die and magnet. Smaller white, vanilla, black scraps are tossed in a basket I keep handy.

  2. Woo hoo!
Of course I save my leftovers. I just made a card yesterday with some of them, and it was beautiful.
    I love today’s showcase card.
