Two Tone Flora-Hello There!

Sometimes you just need a flower pick me up and the Two Tone Flora stamp set is a perfect way to chase the blues away. This fun card was created using Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss ink. I stamped off for a second generation lighter image with the solid flower image with Blackberry Bliss ink. The detailed stamp in this two-step stamp set was inked and stamped with full juice!

#blessedbycards

The Mossy Meadow and the Blackberry Bliss combo gives a very elegant look, but every time I stamp with this set I am amazed at how great these florals look in all color combos. Try a few combos in both light and dark colors, I know you will not be disappointed. Happy Stampin’!

Sundaes For A Hot Summer Day!

Today is one of those hot summer days that is perfect for sharing a an ice cream sundae. My card today was create using the Share a Milkshake bundle in the annual catalog. Growing up, we moved around a lot and I only remember the ice cream truck coming around when we lived in Springfield, Illinois, but I will always remember sharing a hot fudge sundae with my grandpa. It did not matter where we lived, I loved visiting him every summer!

Fun fact that is no secret in my family, my grandpa loved sweets, so it did not even have to be hot outside for us to share a sundae together. So no matter what the weather is like in your neighborhood today, go ahead and enjoy a sundae anyway! Happy Stamping!

Make It Monday #119 In-Color Note Cards

Hello my stamping friends, today I am happy to share some In-Color cards created by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Sally Nusbaum. Sally created these cards for a demonstrator only event in July. It was a lot of fun gathering with friends. Join my team and you too will be invited to our next event. Be sure to watch the end of the video for a special card I created using the scraps of In-Color Designer Series paper from Sally’s card creations!

Praise God For His Mercy-Sunday Wisdom

Today’s gospel is all about how the good and evil of our world must exist together until the end of time.  If you know anything about farming I am sure today’s parable makes sense to you.  Pulling weeds can also damage the good crop, but in this parable the Lord is also showing His mercy.  As Christians, we strive to be the wheat, but let’s face it, sometimes we fall short and unfortunately represent the weeds.  No, we are not intrinsically evil, but God reminds us that we are not perfect, and that we need His Mercy, which is life-giving and endless.  This gives us hope because we too can change and become part of a richer soil that bears much fruit.

So as we continue to lift each other up in prayer, let us remain humble, filled with gratitude, and always in awe of the Mercy of our God.

Fun With Earthen Textures-Favorite Things Friday!

We are having fun again today with the new Earthen Textures Bundle features in the 2023-2024. Today I created a simple thank you card using a Cajun Craze and Old Olive. This super simple card goes together is less than 5 minutes and that surely is a favorite to celebrate this Friday! #supersimplecards

If you follow my blog or come to any of my in-person classes then you know that I love to fussy cut. Even though I enjoy a good fussy cut card, I much prefer a super simple card that goes together quickly. I hope you enjoy today’s creation!

#supersimplecards

I began with a Cajun Craze card base and added a layer of Basic White. I cut my white card panel at 3 ½ x 3 ½ x 4 ¾ and stamped the fern/wheat looking stamp with Old Olive ink several times and then a few at the bottom with Cajun Craze. I also stamped the twig looking stamp and the greeting with Cajun Craze. The greeting is from Layering Leaves.

The greeting is stamped on a separate white panel and mounted on a 1 x 4 ¾ piece of Cajun Craze. I simply layered the greeting to the bottom of the white panel w/my stamped images and attached to the card front. Simple Simon!

If you have not had a chance to add this amazing and very versatile bundle to your stamping stash, I would do it soon. It is quickly becoming one of the most popular bundles and you want to get yours while supplies last. Happy Stamping!

InKing Royalty-Blog Hop Blues!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! We are embracing some (or all) of Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful blues for today’s hop – there are so many great ways to showcase the blues in the current color families! We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them!

Again, today we are all about the blues…..not the down in the dump kind, but Stampin’ Up! blues of course! I wonder what your favorite Stampin’ Up! blue is. It know it is super hard to choose, but I think my all time favorite has to be Blueberry Bushel, I am so glad it has returned to our main color line! I think Night of Navy is my next favorite blue. Let me know in the comments your favorite Stampin’ Up! blues. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I started with a Balmy Blue card base and added a layer of Blueberry Bushel cardstock. The fish are stamped with Memento Black and Blueberry Bushel ink. I used the coordinating dies to crop my fish and arranged them on the card front. *Be sure your watercolor panel is completely dry before adding the greeting.

Gone Fishing $49.50

I created the water using a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Watercolor paper and using the water painters added some Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel ink. I used a generous amount of water with the painters and used the heating tool to dry the watercolor paper before assembling my card.

Here is a look at the inside of my card……

I stamped in Balmy Blue for solid and Memento Black for the outline of my fish hook. Of course after stamping and getting it to line up perfectly on the first try, I realized my hook is upside down! LOL Oh well, after all it is a homemade card and it has been a minute since I have gone fishing!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you will hop along to the next stop on our blog hop with Sue Jackson at Just Peachy Stamping! There is a lot of inspiration to be found in this group-and you don’t want to miss it! Happy Stamping!

Coffee With Friends-Favorite Things Friday!

One of my favorite things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the opportunity to gather with other demonstrators and share ideas. I recently had an opportunity to gather with about 28 other demos for a fun day of stamping and sharing.

Coffee was not involved and that truly is sad, but my card today was inspired by fellow demonstrator Angie Dixon. She created a lovely card swap and graciously gifted one to me. Her swap inspired me to create today’s card. Thanks Angie for your generosity!

Coffee With Friends $25

This is a quick and easy fun fold card. I started with a Melon Mambo card base measuring 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2 to create the basic card. To create the fun fold front, simply score the card front panel in the center at 2-3/4″ and fold back to create front fold. See photo below.

Coffee With Friends $25

For the front panel cut a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Tahitian Tide and stamped the Sketched Plaid Background stamp w/Tahitian Tide ink. The dear friend is stamped with Tahitian Tide ink and fussy cut. The white panel with the girls is a piece of Basic White CS-3×3. You can round the corners for a softer look.

The girls are colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blend Markers. You can choose whatever color coordinates with your card base. This card looks like it took a long time to create, but trust me our Stampin’ Blend Combo alcohol markers makes color super fast and easy. Happy Stamping!

So Refreshing Iced Tea!

Today I created a pitcher of iced tea with the so Refreshing Bundle and the new color Pecan Pie. I am not sure what is it like in your neighborhood, but it is really hot here and today is a perfect day for some refreshing iced tea.

I started with a Pecan Pie card base and added a layer of Basic White, a second layer of Pecan Pie and to the last layer of Basic White I stamped the greeting in Pecan Pie ink. On some scraps of Basic White I stamped the pitcher, ice cubes and glasses all in Pecan Pie, cropped them with the coordinating dies in the bundle and added them to the card front.

If you are not an iced tea fan, perhaps you are a cold brew fan. This card could easily be sent to a coffee or tea lover. Have fun creating with all the extra dies in this bundle.

Earthen Textures

Last week the Make It Monday video was all about Earthen Textures and I promised a card using the larger floral die that score and cuts to create fun folds. CLICK HERE if you missed those cards. My color focus for the florals is Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Pecan Pie. I added a three sprigs in Crumb Cake and one from Mossy Meadow.

Earthen Textures Bundle

I began with a Night of Navy card base and added a layer of Old Olive. Don’t you just love how the pre-scored leaves on this die adds dimension to our card creation. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach he floral leaves. The greeting is stamped with Night of Navy ink and again, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach it over the stems of the leaves.
