Sneak Peek Bundle-Make It Monday #115

Today I am excited to share with you a sneak peek into a new bundle that will be coming out in the next mini catalog this September. Translucent Bundles. As as demonstrator I attended a Creativity Now Virtual Stampin Event with many of my fellow stamping demonstrators. I am sharing with you the cards I created. The first card was created by Rosie, a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Australia. The event was a lot of fun.

We also got a sneak peek into a new Christmas set, One Horse Open Sleigh, that will be coming July 6 ! Be sure to check that out so you don’t miss getting a head start on your Christmas card making projects.

And now today’s Translucent Florals Bundle Video

Here is a closer look at today’s cards!

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards!

Earthen Textures-Favorite Things Friday!

One of my favorite things is stamping with friends and today, I am not only stamping with a very dear friend, but I am also borrowing her stamp set for my blog post! What could be better than that? Thanks Cherie!

At first I have to admit this bundle seemed a bit much for me, but after creating a few cards with it, it is growing on me. LOL Unfortunately the bundle is currently unavailable as the dies are on backorder. The stamp set is still available and as soon as the bundle is back in stock I will feature more cards for one of my Make it Monday tutorials, so stay tuned for that. But for today, I began my card creation a Boho Blossom card base. Boho Blossom is just one of 5 new In-Colors. Click here to check out the other colors.

#blessedbycards

Next I added a layer of Cajun Craze. I stamped the pots with Cajun Craze and Boho inks on a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock and in order to make them look layered, I stamped the small pot first and then masked it before stamping the taller pot. I then stamped the ferns with Old Olive and the flowers, in Boho Blossom. The thank you is from the bundle and stamped in Boho Blossom on a 3/8 x 2-3/8 panel of white. Just add a little bling and your card is complete.

I hope you have a fabulous Friday. Happy Stamping!

Seaside Bay-You’re In My Thoughts!

If you are a bird person then you are going to love today’s card. If not, maybe you are seaside bay person, either way today’s card is a fun summertime card. My card base begins with Balmy Blue and then I added a layer of Night of Navy. I created my beach scene for Mama bird and her babies on a 3-3/4 x 5 panel of white.

To create my beach scene I used our Blending Brushes and a variety of inks. For the water, I used Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon. I added some white waves using a blender pen and some White Craft ink. The sand was blended with our new color Pecan Pie. The sky was again a mixture of Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon.

I colored the bird family with a mixture of Stampin’ Blend markers and some watercolor pencils. I stamped the detailed sand dots using the Pecan Pie ink. The greeting is from the new stamp set Seasonal Branches. We have such a great spread of coordinating colors that makes creating fun scene super easy. Go ahead and give it a try, you might be surprised at how easy it is. Happy Stamping!

Playing In the Rain-Rainy Days!

Rainy days are always better when shared with a friend or at least a good book. Remember the old saying Rain rain go away come again another day? I think that must have been when I was younger and wanted to go swimming. Now, here in St. Louis we could use a little rain.

This cute little fox from the Playing in the Rain stamp set looks like he is well on his way to a friends house. I think the tiny raindrop stamp really creates a nice effect for this card.

For my card base I used the new In-color Boho Blossom and layered a panel of black on top. My Basic White panel measures 3-3/4 x 5 and I added some Boho Blossom ink to the edges of my greeting panel with a Blending Brush. The umbrella is colored with the Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend and Mr. Fox is colored with some of our watercolor pencils and a blender pen.

So if your day is filled with cloudy skies and raindrops, I hope it is also filled with joy. Let’s be like Mr. Fox, he doesn’t seem like he has any worries at all.

Thank you Kindness-Dainty Flowers

Today I decided to create a card with Poppy Parade. I do like this color, but for some reason I don’t use it very often, so I decided to pair it with Misty Moonlight and the Dainty Flowers stamp set. I stated with the Poppy Parade card base and added a layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock. The Basic White panel measures 3-3/4 x 5.

The flowers are stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Poppy Parade, Misty Moonlight and Granny Apple Stampin’ Blend markers. The greeting is stamped with Misty Moonlight. This Dainty Flower set is very versatile and the greetings are very dainty. I wonder if that is why they called this set Dainty Flowers.

The card seriously did not take much time to create. I think I spent more time deciding on the colors than I did creating the actual card. So go ahead and grab some Stampin’ Blends and create something beautiful today.

Make It Monday #113 So Refreshing Bundle Twist!

I am really loving the new So Refreshing Bundle and in today’s I added a little twist to this bundle. Instead of using the pitcher in a traditional way, I got out my handy dandy Paper Snips and turned our lemonade pitcher into a flower vase. I hope you enjoy today’s video.

Double Layer and Dainty Flowers-Favorite Things Friday

Today I thought it would be fun to double layer my card with a little embossing. One of my favorite ways to spruce up a card is to add a little dry embossing. In this case, I used the Cane Weave embossing folder. I started with a Basic White card base and dry embossed two layers, Highland Heather and Basic White layer.

On a scrap paper I stamped the flowers from Dainty Flowers, colored them using the Highland Heather Blend Combo markers and cropped them using the coordinating dies. Because I had two layers of the embossed images, I decided to crop the leaves using Mossy Meadow cardstock. I went with the darker green so they would stand out. I was afraid a lighter color might get lost.

I really like how this turned out and decided to add a little bling. I am not sure if these pearl dots are still in the catalog, but they match perfectly. Retired or not adding bling to a card is just plain fun! Don’t you agree.
