Favorite Things Friday-Crafting With Friends

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to gather with some fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and gathering with friends is one of my favorite things, especially when we craft together. At this event each demonstrator brought a project to share and so I was able to create some really amazing cards.

Today, I would like to share just a few of the cards I created. I hope to share more in the coming weeks. I want to give a shout out to my fellow demonstrators, you know who you are, unfortunately I don’t know who’s card is who, so thank you one and all!

Tall Holiday Gift Box – Make It Monday #33

In today’s Make it Monday video, we are creating a tall holiday gift box. I am thinking this would be a great project for our beloved teachers. Create a special box and fill it with some home made or store bought candy for that special teacher in your child’s world.

It is also a great gift box if you give Christmas gifts to your bosses and co-workers. It is super easy to make, just follow the video instructions and the pdf cutting template! Add some designer series paper and a cute tag and you are all set!

This box was created using a 10 x 7-3/8″ piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. have fun creating this adorable box!

Holiday Gifts and Treats-Favorite Things Friday

Well my friends Christmas is only 42 days away. While I do not really like to shop, I love making Christmas cookies and candies. One my my favorite things to make and give away at Christmas is homemade caramels.

Depending on the year, I will give my caramels away in hand-crafted boxes, such as the ones featured in this weeks Make it Monday and Weekly Wednesday videos. But I also enjoy making bag toppers and putting my wrapped caramels in one of our clear envelopes.

To create bag topper, begin with a 3 x 5-7/8 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and score in portrait position at 1½. Stamp a greeting of your choice, here I chose the Merry Christmas from Evergreen Elegance. I stamped it with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with some white embossing powder. I added a few snowflakes from Penguin Place. Sorry, no homemade caramels, yet, but soon!

Snowman Christmas Box-Weekly Wednesday #12 Read More »

Holly Jolly Christmas

Today I have a super simple holiday card! I did not use the traditional holiday colors, but instead coordinated the colors from the star paper in the Sweet Stocking Designer Series Paper pack. You can literally create this card in less than 5 minutes!

I began with a Bumblebee card base and added a triangle layer of the Sweet Stocking Designer paper. I stamped the greeting from Holly Jolly Wishes and the star from Penguin Place in Evening Evergreen ink to match the paper.

I used the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the Seasonal Label Dies to crop the greeting and layered it on the front of the card. Super simple. I love the sweet stars from the Penguin Place stamp set.

You could also use a BumbleBee Blend marker to add a bit of color to Jolly! Of course I thought of this after I create the card and uploaded it to my post. LOL

If you have not had a chance to play with the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set, it is great for creating quick, clean and simple holiday cards. I hope this card will get you thinking outside of the box for your next holiday creation!
