  • Stamp the small daisy in Night of Navy ink 4 times and punch out with the Medium Daisy to create two small flowers, off-setting the petals to create a 3-D effect.
  • Attach all the daisies over the ferns on the card front.  (see image)
  • Stamp “You are Amazing” from the In Bloom bundle in Night of Navy ink and crop it out with the label die.
  • Attach to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Painted Poppy-Comfort and Hope!

Yesterday I shared with you a cards that I created over the weekend when my daughter and I had a little crafting time together and as promised, here is the cards she created! She used the Stampin’ Blends to color the poppies! I will do my best to give you correct measurements as I forgot to measure them before she took the card home. LOL

  • Begin with a 5 ½ x11” piece of Poppy Parade cardstock. In landscape position, (aka the long side), score at 4 ¼”.   Fold and burnish.  This will create a card base.
  • Cut a 4 x 5¼’ piece of Basic Black cardstock and attach it to the card base.
  • Cut a 3¼ x 3¾” piece of Basic White cardstock and randomly stamp the poppy flowers and the single leaf in Memento Black ink.
  • Use the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers to color the flowers in Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzelberry and Poppy Parade. Color the leaves with Old Olive.
  • Attach this colored panel to the black panel on the card front.
  • Next cut a 1-3/8 x 3 ¾” of Basic White cardstock and stamp the greeting from Comfort and Hope in Memento Black and attach to the card front leaving a gap of black as pictured in above image.

The Comfort and Hope set will be retiring at the end of the month and it is discounted-you read that correctly, it is on sale for $16.80, so now is a great time to add it to your collection. Don’t forget to use our host code! RYXTY496

Hello There Sunshine!

I had a very nice surprise on Saturday! Yes there was sunshine, but the doorbell rang and it was my daughter. She drove in from Chicago to surprise me for my birthday! What a special treat that was. My son was already home from college and so we had a fun playing games and we all had a drink to toast yet another year older!

Yesterday we hung out in my craft room and made cards together. Well, not my son and husband! LOL This is one of my cards. Tomorrow I will share with you the card my daughter created.

  • Begin with a 5¼  x 11” piece of Bumblebee cardstock. In landscape position, (aka the long side), score at 5 ½”.   Fold and burnish.  This will create a tent fold card base.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼’ piece of Basic White cardstock and attach to the card front.
  • Next cut a 2 ¾ x 4 piece of  Early Espresso cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss it with the Hammered Metal embossing folder.  Attach to the lower part of the white panel.
  • Next cut a narrow strip of Basic Black cardstock and add it across the Early Espresso hiding the seam.
  • Stamp the large sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle in Memento Black ink onto a piece of Bumblebee cardstock.  Cut it out using the coordinating die from the bundle.
  • Cut the Sunflower outline with Basic Black cardstock and use liquid glue to attach it to the sunflower.  Next cut the center of the sunflower with Early Espresso cardstock and attach it to the sunflower with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • Add the sunflower to the upper portion of the card base.
  • Stamp “hello there” in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and punch it out using the Double Oval punch.
  • Again use the Double Oval punch to cut the scallop oval from a scrap of Bumblebee cardstock and attach it to the lower portion of the card.

What a fun set to create some springtime cards! I really enjoyed making cards with my daughter and am so blessed she spent the weekend with us. I can’t wait to share her creation with you tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Always In My Heart-Field of Flowers!

Good morning everyone! It is time to think spring! I love how the birds have become my new alarm clock and am totally enjoying this warm weather. Today’s card features the Field of Flower bundle and I am hoping it gets you in the mood to plant some flowers, but if not perhaps you will be moved to create a card!

  • Begin with a Highland Heather card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼.  Fold and burnish.  This will create a card base.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” panel of Basic White cardstock and stamp “Always in my heart” from the Field of Flowers bundle in Highland Heather ink.
  • Next, stamp several dragonflies in Shaded Spruce ink.
  • Stamp the grass in Shaded Spruce along the bottom of the white panel. Stamp the stems for the flowers in Granny Apple Green ink on the lower left of the grass.  Stamp some of the larger leaves from the stems along the grass in Granny Apple Green ink.
  • Stamp the flower tops in Highland Heather ink, fussy cut with paper snips and add them to the top of the stems.
  • Stamp the small flowers several times in different colors and punch out using the coordinating punch with the bundle.  I used Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather and Calypso Coral.
  • Glue the punched out flowers randomly along the grass.

This was a super easy spring card that is sure to bring Joy to anyone who receives it. The Field of Flowers set will be retiring at the end of this month, so be sure to add it to your collection before it is too late.

Remember if you place an order for $25 or more you will earn the April Virtual Stamp camp FREE! Stamp camp projects and/or videos will be emailed to you the last week of the month. Don’t forget the current host code:

He is Risen! Sunday Wisdom

He is Risen! Praise God!
While Lent can be a long journey, it is always an amazing opportunity to take time to re-dedicate our lives to God and adjust our priorities and in doing so we prepare our hearts for Easter.

Today on Easter Sunday Jesus once again brings hope to us all through Mary Magdalene, the one He believed in, and the one He saved from sin and despair. Mary is the first to recognize the “ordinary gardener” as her Lord and Savior and the first to experience the Resurrection!

Imagine how her sadness was turned into JOY!  Jesus entrusts her with the mission to tell the others that He has Risen!  Today we too can share in her joy and can spread the good news of the gospel!  The joy of the Gospel is to experience the Love of God in Christ. So allow the Resurrection to remove all fear and anxiety from your life and to renew and strengthen your faith!

Lots of people begin January with a list of New Year’s resolutions, but what about an Easter Season “New Life Resolution”? It does not have to be a long list, just create a list of the top three things you would like to make a priority in your new life and strive to live them out daily.

This Easter Season, let us all open our hearts and allow the love of Christ to transform us. Happy Easter!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Happy Easter with Arrange a Wreath!

Happy Easter all! It looks like the weather in St. Louis will be sunny all weekend! Gotta love that! I hope you will be able to spend some time with family and friends and if not you can always spend time in your craft room creating things for your family and friends! Either way, I do hope your Easter weekend is blessed!

  • Begin with a Pacific Point card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼.  Fold and burnish.  This will create a card base.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” panel of Basic White cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss it with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. Attach this to the card front.
  • Use the wreath dies from the Arrange a Wreath Bundle to cut out a Shaded Spruce fancy wreath and a Just Jade leafy wreath and glue them together.
  • Next use the bow die and some Pacific Point cardstock to create the wreath bow.  Attach the bow to the left side of the wreath and add a small rhinestone in the center.
  • Stamp the Easter eggs in Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight and attach them to the wreath with liquid glue or glue dots.
  • Use the Label Me Fancy punch to punch out a Pacific Point tag.  Stamp Happy Easter in Pacific Point ink on a ¾ x 1 ½” piece of Basic White cardstock and attach to the label tag.  Add a rhinestone on each end of the tag.
  • Attach the tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and again Happy Easter! May your day be filled with many, many blessings!

With Sympathy and Painted Poppies!

I love that our Painted Poppies set is carrying over into the next annual catalog because it is such a sweet set and I love using the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to bring out the colors! This set is great for any occasion, even the more solemn ones.

  • Begin with a Highland Heather card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼.  Fold and burnish.  This will create a card base.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” panel from Basic Black and attach it to the card front.
  • Next cut a 3 ¾ x 5” piece of Basic White and stamp the garden of poppies from the Painted Poppy set across the bottom.  Color the poppies with some Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers.  I used Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Dark Balmy Blue.
  • Stamp the big poppy on a piece of Basic White scrap and color it with the light and dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.  Fussy cut it out with some paper snips and add it to the poppy garden with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • Stamp the “With Sympathy” greeting from Vine Designs in Memento Black ink.
  • For the inside, cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp the greeting from Peaceful Moments in Memento Black ink.  Add the other large poppy from Painted Poppies and color with the Highland Heather combo pack of Stampin’ Blends.

Although I needed a sympathy card, this would make a great Easter card as well. The multi-colored poppies really bring out a bit of Spring!

Thinking of You with Field of Flowers!

Flowers are so wonderful and I am so sad to see this beautiful stamp set retire. I know that we have a lot of other floral sets to choose from, but there is just something so fresh and clean about this set. I hope you enjoy today’s creation.

Don’t forget this set will be retiring at the end of the month, so add it to your collection while you still can. If you plan to spend less than $150, please use the current host code.

Today’s card features the Field of Flowers stamp set that is pictured on page 117 in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. You can also download the pdf version of this catalog from the home page of my blog.

  • Begin with a Basic white cardstock that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”.  In landscape position (AKA-long side), score at 4 ¼”, burnish and fold.  This will be your card base.
  • Cut a 4-1/8 x 5-1/8” piece of Real Red cardstock and attach it to the card front.
  • Next cut a 4 x 5¼” piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss with the new Painted Texture embossing folder. Attach this to the red panel.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the Layering Circle dies to crop a Costal Cabana scalloped circle and the Stitched Shape dies to crop a white circle.
  • Stamp in flower stems in Just Jade and the flowers in Real Red onto the white circle.  Attach the white to the costal cabana circle and set aside.
  • Cut a 2 x 4” piece of Costal Cabana and a 1-7/8 x 4” piece of Basic White cardstock. To the white cardstock, stamp grass stamp in Just Jade and then again in Granny Apple Green.
  • Stamp the small flowers in Real Red and punch them out using the Confetti flowers coordinating punch included in the bundle.  Randomly layer them along the grass using liquid glue or glue dots. Stamp “Thinking of You” with Real Red ink and add a few more flowers
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stamped flower image previously created in step 5.

Now you see why I love this set so much! I hope your day is filled with sunshine!

A Touch of DSP!

If you have been stamping for awhile, especially with Stampin’ UP! then you are probably family with DSP. Last week I posted the retiring list of products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. It might seem like everything is retiring, but I assure you there are more wonderful sets, bundles and kits heading your way in May!

As a Stampin’ UP! Demonstrator, I get a sneak peak at the NEW catalog and you are going to love it. Sorry I am not allowed to share it just yet. If you missed the list last week, I will have a button at the end of this post that will take you the pdf.

Although the colors in today’s card are not retiring, the patterned paper will not be returning.

  • Begin with a Misty Moonlight card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼.  Fold and burnish.  This will create a card base.
  • Cut the six ½ x 4” strips of the 2020-2022 Designer Series paper attach them on the diagonal to a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock, trimming as needed.  As you attach them at an angle, each piece will become smaller and more will need to be trimmed off.
  • Once all colors are arranged and glued down, stamp the sentiment from So Sentimental in Misty Moonlight ink to the upper portion of the white cardstock.
  • For the finishing touch randomly add several 2020-2022 In-Color Enamel Dots.

This is a quick and easy layout that looks great with a variety of patterned papers. It is also a great way to use up those smaller pieces of scrap paper! I hope this inspires you to take a second look at your scrap collection and create something beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae
