Favorite things Friday-Online Exclusives and Clearance!

Happy Friday! If you are like me then two of your favorite places to visit on the website is the Clearance Rack and the Online Exclusives page. Right now Stampin’ Up! has added some new product to both the Online Exclusives section and the Clearance Rack. Click on the buttons below and Happy Shopping!

Our Make It Monday tutorial this week featured the Trick and Treat dies from the 2023-2024 Holiday Mini Catalog. CLICK HERE if you missed that video. I know the weather is really nice here in St. Louis, but I expect it to be feeling like fall soon. Either way Halloween is quickly approaching so I hope you enjoy today’s card!

I began with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Them Bones Designer Series Paper to the card front. I then cut a 3 x 4 piece of designer series paper from that same pack. I created a Basic Black mat that measures 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 and added both to the card front.

The greeting is from the Throughout the Year set. This greeting set is quickly becoming my favorite although I wish they would have included a Happy Anniversary stamp. It seems like we could use a few more Thinking of You, Sympathy and Happy Anniversary sets, at least in my stamping stash!

I used my paper snips to cut around the greeting and attaching it to the card front using some Stampin’ Dimensionals. If you have been following me then you know I am in love with the stinkin’ cute ghosts from the Trick and Treat Dies but I have to admit these little skeletons are cuter than they are scary. It’s hard to have a scary dancing skeleton, right?

I hope this card gets you in the mood for the holidays. Stop by next week for more cards with the Them Bones Designer Series paper pack but until then, Happy Stamping!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Trick and Treat Dies

Halloween is just 27 days away! Have you bought your favorite candy? As I drive through my neighborhood I see a lot of Halloween decorations. It seems like Halloween is becoming as popular as Christmas, at least for decorating. Probably because there are so many really cute decorations at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnn’s. Just look at this sweet sign that I purchased from Michael’s! Soooo cute!

And if that does not put you in the mood for fall, maybe today’s Halloween card will do the trick. I just could not resist these stinkin’ cute ghosts from the Trick and Treat Dies.

I started with a Basic Black card base and added a layer of Them Bones Designer Series paper. The haunted house, ghosts and labels are all cut using the Trick and Treat Dies. I cropped the label die twice and cut it in half making a black background at the top and bottom of the label.

I added a second piece of Them Bones DSP and used a blending brush to add some White Craft ink to the house. The Trick or Treat greeting is from the Throughout the Year featured on page 61 in the 2023 Holiday Mini Catalog. Happy Stamping!

Coffee With Friends-Favorite Things Friday!

Happy Friday everyone. Wow this week sure did fly by. I thought I would combine the Coffee and Friends stamp set with the Pick of the Patch Bundle for a fun summer into fall card.

I used my watercolor pencils to color in the friends and the bench. I stamped the grass from Oceanfront and then added some green coloring around it. The pumpkins were stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink and fussy cut with my handy dandy Paper Snips. I decided to only add one Pecan Pie stem (punched from the Pumpkin Builder Punch) and then just colored the green stems on the two small pumpkins.

I used the Starry Sky cardstock for my card base and added a Basic White layer. The greeting and all the images are stamped with Pecan Pie. A lot of pie in this card. LOL!! Happy Stamping!

Pick of The Patch Bundle-Make It Monday #125

Remember the pre-school poem or song about the five little pumpkins sitting on the gate? Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.-the first one said “Oh my it’s getting late.” The second one said “There are witches in the air!” The third one said “But we don’t care!” The fourth one said “Let’s run and run and run!” The fifth one said “I’m ready for some fun.”

Well I guess I should have create my card with a landscape format because I only have three pumpkins. LOL I created today’s card for a Shoe Box Swap next weekend where I will be stamping with 11 of my fellow demonstrators and friends.

Click Button Above or Photo Below to access You Tube Video-Make It Monday #125

If you have never been to a Shoe Box Swap it is like a stamp camp/stamp class in a box. Each of us will be creating a card and cutting enough supplies for everyone who will be participating. I will take all my supplies and set up a station as will the others who will be attending. Then we just travel around to all the stations creating each other’s card and at the end of the day we will have 11 cards. It is a lot of fun and I am looking forward to spending time with my stamping friends.

I guess if you are going to the Shoe Box Swap next week and you follow my blog, this is a spoiler alert, sorry! Either way, I hope you enjoy this card and it inspires you to created something beautiful today. Happy Stamping! Click the button below to download your free pdf project sheet!

Here is St. Louis we have been very lucky to have a mild summer with relatively low humidity. So why not celebrate with one of the new fall stamps sets coming in the Holiday Mini catalog. Fall Trees and Beauty of Friendship

This past weekend my hubby and I took a drive to Kimmswick , MO which is a small town in Jefferson County. It is a short 45 minute drive and if you enjoy little craft and knick, knack shops, you might want to check it out. While the weather was absolutely gorgeous, all the trees have not turned yet. Next weekend, Kimmswick will be celebrating their Apple Butter Festival and I am thinking the trees will be just about perfect.

In honor of the fall and changing color of leaves, I thought I would share a two tree fall card I created using the Beauty of Friendship stamp set featured in the annual 2022-2023 catalog.

#blessedbycards

I began with a Cajun Craze card base and to the top of my card front added a layer of Pear Pizzazz, Cajun Craze and Basic White. The tress trunks are stamped with Early Espresso Ink, and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz and Cajun Craze.

I used the Blending Brush and some Pear Pizzazz ink to create the grass around the tree trunks and stamped the greeting in Early Espresso. The greeting and a piece of Pear Pizzazz CS are cropped using the Deckled Rectangles Dies.

Project Measurements

  • Cajun Craze CS- 5½ x 8½ (card base)
  • Cajun Craze CS-3-1/8 x 3-7/8
  • Pear Pizzazz CS- 3¼ x 4, 1½ x 3
  • Basic White CS- 3¾ x 5, 1¼ x 2½, 4 x 5¼
  • Beauty of Friendship
  • Early Espresso Ink
  • Deckled Rectangles Dies
  • Blending Brushes
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive
  • Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine

I am going to send this card to my mother in law, but I also think it would make a great masculine birthday card. What do you think?

BOO! InKing Royalty’s Blog Hop!

October 2022 Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! Boo! Today we are sharing scary and sweet projects perfect for Halloween. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

For my first card I decided not to go with the traditional Halloween colors, so I started with a Fresh Freesia card base and added strips of Fresh Freesia and So Saffron to a panel of Basic White. The stamps I used for this card are from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit, Spooky Treats. I stamped the stars in Fresh Freesia Ink on the colored panels and attached them at angles to my Basic White layer.

#blessedbycards

The spooky spiders are stamped in the white spaces with Memento Black ink. The ghosts are also stamped in Memento Black on some scrap pieces of Basic White. Yes, I fussy cut them using my Paper Snips and arranged them on the front of my card. The Boo for both of my cards is from retired set, Banner Year. I really don’t think this set should have retired, but I am trying to let that go. LOL!

My second card features the Bewitching Bundle and the amazing Deckled Rectangle Dies! Oh baby to I love these dies! it gives the perfect spooky look, don’t you think?

#blessedbycards

I used a blending brush for the grass and the sky scenery. The grass is Granny Apple Green and the sky is Pool Party. I stepped it up by heat embossing the pumpkin from Hello Harvest with Black embossing powder! Click the button above for a free pdf download with pictures and instructions on how to create both of these cards. Happy Halloween!

As always it is a pleasure hoping with you and my InKing Royalty friends! Be sure to hop on over to my good friend Marilyn Jones at Stamp with MJ for more Halloween ideas! There is a lot of inspiration to be found in this group.
