Art Gallery-Bride and Groom

Once upon a time, May and June were the most popular months for weddings. Perhaps that is why my hubby and I decided that October would be a perfect month.

Well, fast forward 32½ years and now October is the most popular month to get married. No I have never been accused of being a trend setter, I just thought I would prefer one of the cooler months!

So in case you are curious here are the other most popular months: #2 September, #3 June, #4 May and coming in at #5, August! Today’s card is perfect for any bride and groom, regardless of their month of choice. It features the new Art Gallery Bundle that is available through June of 2021.

Please note the black line around the card is for easy viewing only and is not part of the actual card.

  • Begin with a Basic White card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”.  Fold and burnish.
  • Cut a 3 ½ x 4 ¼” piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock and a 2 ½ x 5” piece of Seaside Spray cardstock and later to the front of the card as shown in the image above.
  • Stamp the large flower (solid image) in Seaside Spray and the coordinating stamp in Pretty Peacock on a piece of Basic White cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to crop the stamped image with the coordinating dies from the Art Gallery Bundle.
  • Attach the flower to the lower right corner of the card front.
  • Next crop the bride & groom using the dies from the Well Said Bundle with Seaside Spray cardstock.
  • Add three Seaside pearls from the Pastel Pearl pictured on page 19 in the  2021January-June mini catalog.

If you plan to place an order for less than $150, don’t forget the host code! Our new host code is: FAVCXRDJ You can apply the host code to your cart before checking out.

Be sure to apply to host code and not coupon code. The coupon code has more characters and if you accidently apply it to coupon code no worries, it will give you an error message that code is not valid and you can add it the the host code box.

The Forever Fern set really does make me smile! I love the earthy tones of green and the stamps look so real. This may be my all time favorite stamp and I do hope it will carry over to the new annual catalog.

I love the paper and I love making my own designer series paper using this set. Check out the Forever Fern 4 part video series on my You Tube Channel! CLICK HERE to watch the first video!

  • Begin with a Shaded Spruce card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”.  Fold and burnish.

Floral Flower Fun!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s March Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature Flowers & Fauna, a brilliant starting point for so many projects. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I love flowers, but I do not have a green thumb, so I can create flowery cards instead. This card will be going to my mother-in-law who is currently living with her daughter in Virginia Beach. Before COVID, mom was living half of the year with us and the other half in Virginia Beach and now that she can no longer travel, I try to send her a card a week.

Today’s card was created especially with her in mind. I used the Art Gallery Bundle and the Vine Design Dies and am hoping that it brightens her day!

  • Begin with a 5 ½ x 8 ½” piece of Basic Black cardstock.  In landscape position (AKA-long side), score at 4 ¼”, burnish and fold.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Calypso Coral cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss it with the new Painted Texture embossing folder.  Attach to the card front using liquid glue.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine with the rectangular die from Vine Designs and crop it out using Basic Black cardstock.  Layer it on top of the Calypso Coral panel using liquid glue.
  • Stamp two large flowers from the Art Gallery Bundle onto Basic White cardstock scraps and cut them out with the coordinating dies form the bundle. I stamped the more solid stamp in Calypso Coral ink and stamped off on some scrap paper before stamping on my white cardstock.  Stamp the accent for the large flower in Calypso Coral ink without stamping off so it has a darker contrast.
  • Again use some Basic White cardstock scrap to stamp the leaves in Mossy Meadow ink.  I stamped several with full ink and several by stamping off to create a lighter looking leaf.
  • Layer the first flower and the leaf to the left side of the card and attach directly to the Vine Design layer. Attach the second flower and the leaves using some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The little black accent in the center of the flower is from Pretty Perennial set.
  • Stamp the greeting in Memento Black ink and punch it out with the Classic Label punch.  Optional: Add one small Matte Black dot to the left of the greeting!
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼”piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp the leaf image in Mossy Meadow and the small flower in Calypso Coral directly to the cardstock.
  • Stamp the greeting in Memento Black ink. I used the Lovely You set. I also used the splatter image from Forever Fern to add some dimension.
  • Stamp an additional small flower in Calypso Coral on some Basic White cardstock and crop it out using the coordinating die in the Art Gallery Bundle.  Layer on the first flower using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Joanne Brown at The Inky DragonJoanne Brown at The Inky DragonJoanne Brown-The Inky Dragon. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Art Gallery Bundle Thinking of You

Spring is just around the corner and if you have the Art Gallery bundle then you know that beauty is already in bloom in your craft room. These two-step flower stamps look great in every color and my card today features Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.

  • Begin with a Basic White base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”.  Fold and burnish.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 1/4” piece of Highland Heather cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, dry emboss it using the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and attach it to the card front.
  • Cut a Basic White oval using the Layering Oval dies and layer it in the center of the card front on the Highland Heather panel.
  • Stamp the leaves in Mossy Meadow and the two step flower stamps in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape, cutting them out using the dies in the Art Gallery bundle and attach to the oval.
  • Stamp the greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and crop with the coordinating rippled die.
  • Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the greeting to the lower portion of the oval.
  • Add three Pastel Pearls to complete your masterpiece.  The Pastel Pearls are picture on page 19 in the January-June 2021 catalog.

Don’t forget about the designer series paper and all the pretty painted patterns just bursting with color. It is also a great way to add color to your projects.

Sure Do Miss You!

Before the Coronavirus hit us my mother-in-law was living with us for part of the year. Unfortunately she is unable to travel and I know that has been difficult for her so I have made it a point to send her a hand-stamped card every week. She is so grateful for the mail and will be turning 88 at the end of March.

I thought this card today would be perfect for her to let her know that she is missed and loved. The black border is just so you will be able to see the photo more easily and is not a part of the card itself.

  • Begin with a Basic White card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”.  Fold and burnish.
  • Cut a 4 x 5¼” piece of the Magenta Madness cardstock and set aside.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the dies from Blossoms in Bloom Bundle to cut a Basic White floral with the thicker blooms and a Basic Black floral with the thinner dies.
  • Use liquid glue and attach the white to the black.  Again use liquid glue to attach half of the blossom image to the left side of the Magenta Madness cardstock, trimming off to even up the side.
  • Now attach the Magenta Madness panel to the front of the card base.
  • Stamp a greeting in the lower right side of the front panel.  I used the Sure do Miss You from the Blossoms in Bloom Bundle pictured on page 51 in the 2020-2021 annual catalog.

This card was so easy to put together, but it looks like a intense labor of love. I love how simple dies can make truly elegant cards special.

I know my mother-in-law will love this card and I hope you do to. Feel free to leave me a comment and as always thank you for visiting!

Dragonfly Garden Bundle

My card today features the Dragonfly Garden Bundle. I love the greeting in this set and thought it was a good card for March as we try to think spring! The Dragonfly punch does not have a matching stamp for the small dragonfly so I just stamped the big guy and punched it out with the baby dragonfly.

  • Begin with a Basic White card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½ . In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4 ¼”.  Fold and burnish.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of the Designer Series paper from the 2020-2022 In-Color 6×6 paper pack.  I chose the Misty Moonlight paper but you can choose whatever color you like and change the stamps accordingly.  Attach the designer series paper to the card in landscape position.
  • Stamp the large spray of flowers in Misty Moonlight on a piece of Basic White cardstock that measures 1 ¾ x 4 ¾” and color some of the flower with a So Saffron Stampin’ Blend marker.
  • Add a ½ x 4” strip of So Saffron cardstock along the edge of the flower and attach to the left side of the card front.
  • Stamp the butterflies and the greeting in Misty Moonlight ink on a 1 ¾ x 1 7/8” piece of Basick White cardstock and attach to the card front.
  • Use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp two large dragonflies on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Color the wings of one dragonfly with the So Saffron Stampin’ Blend marker and punch out the large dragonfly.
  • To the other stamped image, punch out the small dragonfly and then color with the So Saffron Stampin’ Blend marker.
  • Use a sponge dauber and some Misty Moonlight ink to add highlights to the small dragonfly and attach both to the card front.

There are so many wonderful possibilities for this bundle and there is a pack of designer series paper that coordinates with this set. I hope you will enjoy creating some springtime cards this week.

Memories and More Flowers For All Seasons Card

Today’s card features the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Cards and Envelopes on page 154 in the annual catalog. There are 10 cards to a pack and they feature the 2020-2022 In-Colors, which are absolutely amazing. Today I am using the Just Jade card, along with the Happy Thoughts stamp set.

  • Begin with a Just Jade card and matching envelope from the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More card pack.
  • Cut a 3 x 4″ piece of designer series paper from the Flowers for Every Season paper pack.
  • Cut a 4½” of Just Jade ribbon and wrap it around the designer series paper.
  • From the same ribbon pack, tie a bow and attach it to the ribbon using a glue dot.
  • Stamp a sentiment from Happy Thoughts in Memento Black or Just Jade ink onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and use the Tailored Tag Punch to cut it out.
  • Attach the greeting to the front of the greeting card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add inside sentiment in Memento Black ink using the greetings from the Happy Thoughts set.

This card was inspired by fellow demonstrator Jackie Boluhis, who designed the Happy Thought stamp set when she reached one million dollars in sales. Thank you Jackie for your inspiration. I love your cards and your stamp set design. Jackie designed the greetings in her stamp set to fit several of the punches in the annual catalog, the Tailored Tag is just one.

Looks like the weather is warming up, at least here in St. Louis, so it is time to think about spring flowers! This paper pack is only available until the end of April, so get your pack soon, while supplies last!

A Dandy Little Thank You

What could be better than a dragonfly garden? I image a garden filled with lots of colorful flowers and of’ course a few dragonflies. I have to admit I don’t see too many dragonflies here in St. Louis, perhaps this spring I will check out the Missouri Botanical Gardens to see if they are hanging out there.

But for now, this cute little dragonfly thank you will have to do. Notice the sweet little lady bug trinket, I think it gives this card a polished finish. The Lady Bug Trinkets are in the January – June catalog on page 25.

  • Begin with a Bumblebee card base that measures 4 ¼ x 11”. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 5 ½”.  Fold and burnish.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of the Basic White cardstock and layer to the bumblebee card front.
  • Cut a 2 x 4” piece of designer series paper from the Dandy Gardens paper pack and layer to the bottom of the white panel.
  • Cut a ½ x 4” piece of coordinating paper from the same paper pack and attach it to layer across the 2 x 4” piece.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to cut out a large rectangle from Bumblebee cardstock using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Now cut a smaller rectangle from Basic White cardstock and stamp the greeting in Memento Black on the white rectangle.
  • Layer the two rectangles together and attach to the card front.
  • Use the Dragonflies punch to crop a big and little Dragonfly from the Dandy Gardens Designer Series Paper and layer on the card front.
  • For that added pop, add a Lady Bug Trinket to the card front.

There are so many possibilities for this bundle and for the sister bundle, Garden Wishes. Check out the Dandy Garden Suite for these and many other products that will help you create amazing cards.

Spring in just around the corner, so have fun with this suite and feel free to share your creations and your comments. All are welcome!

Clean and Simple Stamping In Bloom

It has been snowing a lot here lately and I love the snow. Yesterday was President’s Day and there was not much traffic on my street, so the snow created a beautiful white blanket over everything. Today it really is quite beautiful and so I was inspired to create this clean and simple card with a few layers of white. It went together very quickly and I only used a handful of supplies.

Congratulations to Mary S! You are the winner of last week’s comment challenge. You will receive a pack of Resin Hearts Embellishments from the JJ2021 catalog. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

  • Begin with a Basic White card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”.  In landscape position, (aka along the 8½” side) score at 4 ¼”.  Fold and burnish to create your card.
  • Cut another layer of white cardstock that measures 4 x 5 ¼” and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss it with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder.
  • Next cut 4 panels of white cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle dies.
  • Stamp the small flower from the In Bloom Bundle in Cherry Cobbler ink on three of the four panels, stamping two flowers on the larger piece.  Using Mossy Meadow ink, stamp several stems to attaching them to the two blooms on the larger piece and leaving the others blooms without stems.
  • Stamp You are amazing in Memento Black ink and layer all white panels to the  Dainty Diamond layer.  You can use liquid glue or add Stampin’ Dimensionals for a more 3-D look.
