More Fun with Sunflowers

Flowers-Birds-Butterflies-Nature, Thank You / June 1, 2022

I am having more fun creating with the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and Sunflower Dies. Yesterday I shared a card with you using the Sunflower dies and today I am using all stamps. I added a layer of black embossed with the new 3-Hive embossing folder and embellished with some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Project Supplies and Measurements

Basic Black CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base)
Basic Black CS- 1 x 4
Crushed Curry CS- 4 x 5¼ , ¾ x 4 (greeting)
Basic White CS- 4 x 5¼ (inside)
Memento Black ink
White Craft Ink
Sponge Daubers
Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set
Sunflower Dies
Brushed Brass Butterflies
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

I used Sponge Daubers and White Craft ink to add a bit more dimension to the embossed image. Adding the Brushed Brass Butterflies gives this card just the right touch.

Dragonfly Fun-Favorite Things Friday!

One of the things I love the most about crafting is coloring. As a kid I could not wait for Santa to bring another coloring book and a new box of crayons. And to get a box of crayons with a pencil sharpener-jack pot!!! Today, I am much, much older and still love coloring. My coloring tools have grown from crayons to markers, chalk, sponges, daubers, blending brushes, colored pencils and aqua painters.

For today’s card I used Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue inks to add color with Blending Brushes. The dragonflies and greeting were stamped in Memento Black ink. I used my Paper snips to cut a dragonfly border and added a layer of Daffodil Delight that is dry embossing using the Hammered Metal embossing folder.

The photo above is the inside of my card where I added a strip of the embossed Daffodil Delight along the right side.

Boughs & Blossoms-Make It Monday #59

It is time again for another Make It Monday tutorial and today I am sharing several cards that I created using the Boughs and Blossoms stamp set that will be retiring at the end of the month. All of my cards began with a Basic White card base. I used Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather to add a splash of color.
