Art Gallery Bundle Thinking of You

Spring is just around the corner and if you have the Art Gallery bundle then you know that beauty is already in bloom in your craft room. These two-step flower stamps look great in every color and my card today features Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.

  • Begin with a Basic White base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”.  Fold and burnish.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 1/4” piece of Highland Heather cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, dry emboss it using the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and attach it to the card front.
  • Cut a Basic White oval using the Layering Oval dies and layer it in the center of the card front on the Highland Heather panel.
  • Stamp the leaves in Mossy Meadow and the two step flower stamps in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape, cutting them out using the dies in the Art Gallery bundle and attach to the oval.
  • Stamp the greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and crop with the coordinating rippled die.
  • Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the greeting to the lower portion of the oval.
  • Add three Pastel Pearls to complete your masterpiece.  The Pastel Pearls are picture on page 19 in the January-June 2021 catalog.

Don’t forget about the designer series paper and all the pretty painted patterns just bursting with color. It is also a great way to add color to your projects.

I may have mentioned a time or two that I love the new designer series paper pack, Flower and Field. It is part of the Sale-A-Bration going this month. Each sheet is filled with flowers that just make you think springtime!

Today’s card features this paper and the new Happy Thoughts stamp set.

  • Cut one 2 x 5 ½” strips of Flower and Field Designer series paper and attach to the left side of the card base.
  • Next cut two coordinating rectangles from the Stitched so Sweetly Dies, the larger one is cut using Bumblebee cardstock and the smaller one with Basic White.
  • Stamp the Thinking of you greeting or greeting of your choice on the Basic White piece and layer together.
  • Use the Stampin Cut and Emboss machine and the In Bloom Pierced dies to crop a small flower from Bumblebee cardstock and attach to the greeting.
  • Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach the greeting rectangles to the front of the card base as shown in the image above.
  • For the inside, cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of White cardstock and attach to the inside panel.

Thinking of You-Framed for You!

This simple Thinking of you card is so full of color and was created using the Framed for You stamp set in the annual catalog on page 47. I just know my mother-in-law will enjoy this one. I am not sure how much I will use the frame stamp, but for sure all the other one. This particular set what Stampin’ Up! calls a is “Distinkive” stamp.

These stamps start with a photograph and is turned into a photorealistic red rubber stamp! This innovative stamp style allows you to create images with depth by simply inking and stamping once. The detail is beautiful and you can find these stamps in the catalog by looking for the green scalloped circle marked Dist INK tive!

Now you all know that I like a saucy ink pad, but one quick tip when using the Dist-ink-tive stamps, especially the larger images is to apply even pressure on the stamp and not have a saucy ink pad! If your ink pad is too saucy, the detail of the stamp will be lost.

  • Begin with a Poppy Parade card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
  • Next add a Basic Black layer, 3 7/8 x 5 1/8”
  • On a 3 ¾ x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock stamp the leaves in Garden Green ink up the left side of the layer. Using the fern stamp, add a layer of sprigs, stamping off first to create a lighter image.
  • The greeting is stamped in Memento Black on Basic White cardstock and punched out using the Rectangular Postage Punch on page 168 in the annual catalog.
  • Next add some Poppy Parade flowers along the leaves.
  • Add a layer of Black and Poppy Parade to the image and attach to the card front.

For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of White cardstock and again the leaves, ferns and flowers along either the bottom as pictured here or go crazy and create something new! Remember, there are no mistakes in stamping, only creative opportunities!

I hope enjoyed today’s card and stop back tomorrow for some more crafting inspiration. I am not sure what the weather is like in your neighborhood, but here is St. Louis we are calling for a bit of snow. Looks like another cold day, I guess I will have to stay tucked in my craft room! Yay!

Sweet Kitty Treat

My Christmas decorations are still up, but unfortunately I no longer have a kitty sleeping under the tree. While I do miss my furry friend, I am enjoying a fur free house! This cute little kitty would look good under anyone’s tree and also in that comfortable corner of any room in the house.

My card features the Pampered Pets Bundle, the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper and the Best Plaid Builder Die. The designer series paper in this pack can be used to embellish any card or you can cut out the cute pets using the dies from the bundle, just as I did on my card front today.

Add these awesome bundles to your crafting supplies and earn some FREE stamp sets, after all it is SALE-A-BRATION time! Don’t forget to apply the Host code: SM7SJPZZ

For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ½” layer of White cardstock and using the paw dies from the bundle, run the white cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. Stamp the sentiment from Positive Thoughts in Basic Gray ink.

My kids still think I need another Kitty, but for now I will enjoy the fur free floors and enjoyed the cute little creatures from the Playful Pets Designer Series pack. I hope you enjoyed this card creation. Feel free to leave a comment!
