Today’s card feature the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper in the Spring mini catalog! This is such a great suite and is filled with tons of product that is sure to get you motivated to create something beautiful.

I focused mainly on the paper and used the greeting from the Framed for You stamp set, which will be retiring soon and I am super sad about that because it has become my go to for greetings. I love how the greetings are a bit smaller and have an elegant font. Oh well, I guess I will have to find a new favorite!

Begin with a Petal Pink card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼. Fold and burnish. This will create a card base.
Cut a 4 x 5¼” and a 3 x 3 7/8” piece of Old Olive cardstock. Attach the larger piece to the card front and set the smaller piece aside.
Cut a 3¼ x 4”, 7/8 x 5¼” and 1 x 2” piece of Petal Pink cardstock.
Cut a ½ x 5¼” strip of Gold Foil cardstock. Layer the gold strip onto the Petal Pink strip that measures 7/8 x 5 ¼”. Now layer that strip across the Old Olive layer on the card front.
Cut a 2¾ x 3½” piece of the Fine Art Gallery Designer Series paper and layer it to the Old Olive piece you set aside. Now layer the Old Olive to the 3¼ x 4” piece of Petal Pink and attach to the card front as show in image.
Stamp the “Thinking of You” greeting from Framed for You in Memento Black on the small remaining piece of Petal Pink cardstock. Trim it down and attach to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Vine Design-It’s Black and White!

If you have not purchased the True Love Designer Series paper from the Spring mini catalog you don’t know what you are missing. I have totally enjoyed the versatility of this paper. You can leave it black and white or spice it up by adding color with the Stampin’ Blending Brushes or the sponge daubers. If you missed the spiced up with color post, CLICK HERE

**True Love Designer Series Paper # 154281 $11.50**

Today’s card was inspired by this black and white paper. I used the stamps from the Vine Design set to create my own black and white paper.

Begin with a Basic Black card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼. Fold and burnish. This will create a card base.
Cut a 3 ¾ x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock and randomly stamp images from the Vine Design set in Memento Black ink and attach to the cards front.
Cut a 1 x 4” strip of Basic Black cardstock and punch both ends using the Lovely Labels pick a punch.
Stamp the greeting on some white cardstock and cut it down to be 5/8 x 3 1/8” and layer on top of the Basic Black punched embellishment.

Add a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White to the inside of the card and stamp a few flowers of your choice on the inside. There you have it a very clean and simple stamping project created with just a few basic supplies. Check out this set and many others in the Spring mini catalog. Seashells by the Seashore!

The weather is definitely getting warmer here in St. Louis and soon the outdoor swimming pools will be opening (hopefully), but that does not compare to collecting seashells by the seashore. No seashores around here, but you can create a warm and welcoming thinking of you card with the Friends are Like Seashells Bundle.

Begin with a Sahara Sand card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼. Fold and burnish. This will create a card base.
Cut a 4 x 5¼” piece of Night of Navy cardstock and a 1 ¼ x 5 ¼” strip of Sahara Sand cardstock. With the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine dry emboss the Night of Navy with the Subtle embossing folder and the Sahara Sand strip with the Tasteful Textiles 3-D embossing folder.
Attach the Night of Navy to the card base and then attach the Sahara Sand strip across the middle of the Night of Navy layer.
Stamp the seashells in Night of Navy and Shaded Spruce ink and cut out using the coordinating dies from the bundle.
With Early Espresso ink stamp a sand dollar and a starfish on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and cut them out using the coordinating dies from the bundle.
Add a few stands of linen thread behinds one of the shells. Fray the ends for added dimension.
Cut out a fern/seaweed and use a Sponge Dauber to add a touch of Shaded Spruce ink.
Stamp the Thinking of You greeting in Night of Navy on a 1 x 4” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it using the coordinating die from the Vine Design Bundle.

Sand and Sea Fun!

I love the sound of the ocean wave, preferably in person, but while getting a massage or falling to sleep at night is nice too. Although I would love to vacation in a home on the beach, I am not sure that I would be brave enough to actually live along the ocean shore.

The waves are beautiful but can also be powerful and a bit scary. I guess if it were on a bluff and close enough to walk, like say a mile or two, that would be awesome.

Today’s card was created as a virtual make and take by a fellow demonstrator, Kathrine Anderson. Thank Kathrine for sharing your time, energy, and talent with all of us!

This card was sent to me as a kit and contains some of the pearlized paper, the seashell stickers and was embossed with the seaside embossing folder.
The pearlized squares are decorated with the stickers and also a round opal jewel.
I used Early Espresso ink and the Framed for You stamp set to stamp for the greeting and added some linen thread around the card front.

Vine Design Thinking of You

There are so many great sets in the January – June Mini catalog that it is easy to miss some of the amazingly detailed dies. The Vine Design Bundle has many coordinating dies, but it also has three spectacular fancy dies that will make a great accent to any of your creations.

I spent the last few days with a friend and we had a good time playing these floral dies. Here is one of the cards I created. I hope you like and and that it will inspire you to create something beautiful.

Begin with a Cherry Cobbler card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”. Fold and burnish.
Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Gold Foil sheet and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss it with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and use liquid glue to attach it to the card front.
Use the floral circle die from the Vine Design Bundle and cut it from a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Cut a coordinating circle from the Layering Circle Dies with Cherry Cobbler cardstock and layer the two together. Attach this to the Gold Foil embossed layering with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Heat emboss the greeting with Memento Black Ink and Clear embossing powder. First, use the Stamparatus to stamp the greeting in Memento Black ink several times onto some Cherry Cobbler cardstock and immediately add the clear embossing powder. Shake off excess powder and us the heat tool to emboss the greeting.
Crop the greeting using the coordinating die from the Vine Design Bundle and attach to the Gold Foil embossed layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For that finishing touch, add three gold metallic pearls to the center of the flowers.
