Scrap Mania Part Two ~ Weekly Wed. #117

Hey all, so glad you could join me for Part Two of our Scrap Mania series. I am excited to share with you three cards with different techniques on how to utilize your scraps. Today we are creating a card using larger scraps, one using 1″ scraps and a fun card using 1/4″ scrap strips. I hope you enjoy and are inspired to create something beautiful today.

Woven Ribbon Technique ~ Weekly Wed. #116

Happy Wednesday all. I am so excited to share another stamping technique with you today. I am calling this the Woven Ribbon Technique. Perhaps is is out on the web under a different name, but I thought given the fact that we are weaving paper that looks like ribbon, I decided Woven Ribbon Technique works.

This technique is not difficult but can be a little tricky when weaving the strips of paper. Of course you can also do this with real ribbon, but working with paper seems to be easier for me. My only tip would be to place a small amount of adhesive on each strip as you layer them. Once you have the look you want, I place a small amount of scotch tape behind the weave. This just makes it easier when transferring it to the card front.

Hey all, since today is my son’s birthday I thought I would share with you the gift card holder that I am going to give him. No don’t worry this is not a spoiler alert. He does not pay attention to my blog posts. Depending on the cardstock you choose, either one of today’s designs would be a great masculine card for someone special. The holidays are just around the corner, so dig out those patterned papers and give these gift card holders a whirl.

Masculine Birthday-Embossing Technique #114 Weekly Wednesday

Hey all, happy Wednesday. Wow this week certainly is going by quickly. I am here today to share a simple embossing technique using white craft ink and the Fern and Flora stamp set. If you are like me and struggle with creating masculine cards, you are going to enjoy this video.

Step 1

Choose a neutral cardstock and ink. I am using Crumb Cake cardstock with Early Espresso ink. Stamp desired image full strength and stamped off several times on the corners of your cardstock.

Step 2

Stamp the image on one corner with white craft ink and emboss with white embossing powder. Remember to use your embossing buddy or a dryer sheet to remove static before stamping.

Step 3

Use a blending brush and Early Espresso ink to add a bit of color around stamped images. Use a dryer sheet or soft cloth to remove the color from white embossed image.

Step 4

Use an aqua painter, ink and water (or alcohol) to create splatter on your image.

Step 5

Stamp greeting and attach Crumb Cake panel to Early Espresso and then to card front. Add a Basic White panel to the inside and decorate as desired.

Sweet Box of Tags ~ Weekly Wed. #113

Christmas 2026, Weekly Wednesday Videos / September 16, 2026

Thanks for joining me today. I am excited to share with you this super sweet, super simple Box of Tags. I created 5 tags to go into my box but feel free to add more. I found that 7 or 8 tags will fit comfortably in this box, but if you are not into tag making, then may I suggest some sweet treats of chocolate kisses or even some salt water taffy.

This box would look super sweet with some added holiday designer series paper, perhaps I will share one of those in a later post, but for today, I am focusing on those sweet houses from the Welcome Noel Bundle.

I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial. These boxes come together so quickly and since they only use a 1/2 sheet of cardstock, the are budget friendly. I am sure I will be making a variety of these for my upcoming craft fairs. Be sure to stop back next week for more crafting inspiration.
