Hey all it is time again for another Make it Monday tutorial and today we are going to create a birthday book card.

This is a fun project for kids. This project is great if you are planning a birthday party and need a craft or if you just need a fun project to keep your little darlings occupied this summer. Either way, this tutorial is easy and does not require a lot of crafting tools.

I chose to decorate my book with the Hey There Chick and the Hey Birthday Chick bundles, but any stamp set you have will do. Don’t forget the Hey Chick Bundle will be retiring in a few days, so if you need to add that to your stamping supplies, our current host code is: 79GFWYZE.

Cutting Measurements

All Measurement=inches CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper Landscape Position=Long side Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

Fine Art Floral DSP or patterned paper of choice- 8 ½ x 11
Basic White Cardstock- 5½ x 8½ (stamped images)
Soft Suede Cardstock-3 x 5½ (fence die)
Bermuda Bay Cardstock- 1¼ x 2¼ (Happy Birthday die)
Memento Black Ink
Stampin’ Blend Markers-Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Balmy Blue, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie and Flirty Flamingo
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

Jesus Meets Our Needs-Sunday Wisdom

Because Jesus sacrificed His life for all us, we can receive the riches of His love daily. In today’s gospel Jairus and the hemorrhaging women were desperate and knew they needed healing that only Jesus could provide.

When we acknowledge our spiritual poverty, we open our hearts to the riches of Jesus’ love and mercy. It is hard to confess our weaknesses and acknowledge our temptations, but when we do our faith grows. We humble ourselves to receive!

Let us strive to be like Jairus and the woman in today’s gospel, to not only admit that we need Jesus, but to trust and have faith that God will provide for all of our needs.

Jesus, thank you for dying for us. We trust in your love and your wisdom to meet all of our needs.

Here is a card we created at stamp camp this month. I love the soft look of Mint Macaron and cannot wait to use other colors with this set. I am sure you will be seeing more of it in the future.

Sweet Kind of Popsicle Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Paper Crafting Ideas / June 25, 2021

Nothing cools off a hot summer day like a popsicle. The Sweet Ice Cream Bundle is a fun summer set that is great for kids of all ages, even us old folks!

I started my card with a Bermuda Bay card base and added a strip of the Sweet Ice Cream Corner Designer Series paper, added three popsicles in Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. and of course finished it off with a few sprinkles.

Sweet, sweet summertime birthdays are the best!
