Today is the first Sunday of Advent. Advent calls us to seek, to trust, and to rest in the peace, hope, joy, and love that is Jesus. It challenges us to be watchful and alert! It is important to be watchful for and alert to the people who need encouragement, support, kindness, respect.
Advent is also a season of waiting….waiting in in hope for the many graces of this season. May your season be filled with the wonder and awe of the Lord’s unconditional love and mercy.
Today’s card features the Snow Wonder Bundle and the Peace and Joy Die set. I love the old fashion look of this snowman and for those of you who know me and have seen my house at Christmas, then you know I cannot resist any snowman stamp, or Christmas decoration! LOL
I stared with a Whisper White card base and added a 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 in piece of Whisper White embossed with the Winter Snow embossing folder. The lower part of the card is a piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series paper that measures 2 3/4 x 5 1/4. I added a strip of Night of Navy to hide the seams and cut the Joy from the Peace and Joy die set in Night of Navy.
To create the oval, I cut the scalloped edge from the Layering Ovals and put an oval of Whisper White in the center. The snowman from the Snow Wonder Bundle is stamped in Memento Black and colored with our Stampin’ Blends. The inside of the card is stamped with some of the snowflakes in Smoky Slate and the greeting is stamped in Night of Navy.
If you are like me and love not only snowmen, but snowflakes you will want to add this Christmas stamp set to your collection today.
Thanks for stamping by, I hope you come back tomorrow for some more crafting fun. As always, feel free to leave me a comment or send me a photo of your card. I would be happy to share your creativity with our followers.
Until next time, be Blessed! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae
Well, it is officially Black Friday, not that there will be many opportunities for in person shopping today. Here is St. Louis, the stores are open, but operating a minimum capacity so I guess I will be doing most of my shopping online. Although yesterday was Thanksgiving, I could not resist the Snowflake Wishes, Thanks Snow Much stamp. After all if we have been good little boys and girls then we might need some Christmas Thank you cards, Right?
I started with a Whisper White card base embossed with the Winter Snow embossing folder on top and to the bottom added a layer of designer series paper from my pack, Feels Like Frost. I added a strip of Smoky Slate cardstock and added a few basic pearls. The sentiment is stamped in Smoky Slate on a Whisper White square layered on a Smoky Slate square and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Again, I added a few pearls to the sentiment.
I stamped the inside greeting and bundle of snowflakes in Smoky Slate ink. I really do love how the Smoky Slate gives a silver appearance. I hope you have fun shopping. If you need more crafting supplies, I would be happy to serve as your Stampin’ UP! demonstrator. As always, until next time, be Blessed! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae
Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving! On this day it is good to pause and thank the Lord for His abundant graces. We are certainly living in challenging times and no doubt things are very different this year from last and so I pray that you are staying healthy and that your day is filled with peace and happiness. I thought I would take this opportunity to make one more fall card, so here it is…..Happy Thanksgiving!
I started with a Bumblebee card base and added top layer of Very Vanilla. embossed with the Absolutely Argyle embossing folder and a strip of the Plaid Tidings to the bottom, leaving a small gap for the Bumblebee to show through.. The leaves on the wreath are punched from Bumblebee, Sahara Sand and Cinnamon Cider cardstock using the sprig punch.
This card features the Banner Year set and I admit I have not been very good at reaching for this set and I don’t know why because it is so versatile. The squirrel is so cute stamped in the Cinnamon Cider. I added him to the banner and stamped the greeting in Memento Black. I added some few pumpkins in Sahara Sand and Pumpkin Pie and yes, I had to fussy cut them, but it was pretty easy. The stems of the pumpkins are stamped with the new In-Color, Just Jade. I put rhinestones on some of the pumpkins and on the right side of the wreath and to finish is off, I added a small linen bow.
I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving. As always as we are counting our blessings let us remember those who are hungry and of’ course those who struggle to find shelter. May God continue to bless and care for us all! Thanks for stopping by and until next time be Blessed! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae
Here is a fun Joy card to spruce up your holiday season. I have seen several versions of this on the internet and have no idea who to credit, sorry about that, but whomever it is, I am sure he/she would be proud to have you CASE this card. By the way if you are not familiar with the term CASE, it is what we crafters lovingly refer to as Copy And Share Everything. After all it really is about making new friends, in person and virtual, and of course having a good time crafting!
This card features the Tag Buffet stamp set and the card base is in Misty Moonlight. highlighted it with a touch of Rich Razzelberry, (4 x 5 1/4), followed by another layer of Misty Moonlight (3 3/4 x 5). The Whisper White is cut from the Stitches So Sweetly Die set. I used the stocking stamp for the J, the ornament stamp for the O, and the leaf branch stamp to create the Y. All the coloring is done with the Stampin’ Blends.
The inside is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Whisper White (4 x 5 1/4) using the sentiment from Peaceful Boughs. I also added a leaf branch and colored it with the Old Olive blends. I know I have mentioned once or twice (LOL) how much I love this sentiment from Peaceful Boughs and I am praying that the spirit of peace really does fill your home this holiday season.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Please feel free to leave a comment, I love the feedback. Hope you will join me again tomorrow, until then, be Blessed! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae
