Tis the Season to be Jolly

Yes my friends there are only there are only 13 days until Christmas, but there is still time to get some of your favorite Holiday sets before they are gone! My card today features the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle, which includes the stamp set, punch pack and designer series paper.

  • Begin with a Pretty Peacock card base and add a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • From the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series paper punch two ornaments from the larger ornament in the Gleaming Ornament Punch pack and glue them to the right side of the card.
  • To create the copper top of the ornament, punch two tops from the Copper Foil Sheets using the larger ornament punch. Add some gold trim to each ornament.
  • Adhere a ½ x 5 ½” piece of the Gleaming Designer Series Paper along the bottom of the card.
  • Cut out a scalloped oval from Pretty Peacock using the Layering Oval Dies. Cut a coordinating oval from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamp the greeting in Pretty Peacock ink.

TIP #1: I masked off the “&” sign on the stamp, well not really, I forgot-hence the bling covering the “&” sign! LOL….So, add bling or mask it is totally up to you, but remember there are no mistakes in stamping, only creative opportunities!

TIP #2: I colored my bling with the Bronze Stampin’ Blend alcohol marker.  Now I realize that this bling might be retired, but when taking advantage of creative opportunities we have to use what is in our craft stash, Right???

And of ‘course let’s not neglect the inside!

  • Layer a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock onto the card base.
  • Stamp the greeting from Itty Bitty Christmas in Pretty Peacock ink.
  • Add another ornament punched from the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper.
  • Add a gold trim bow and you are ready for the Holidays!

I hope you all enjoyed today’s card creation and the added creative opportunity. Be bold and go create something beautiful to bless others with today!

If you would like to order any of these or other stamping supplies, I would appreciate your order. As a reminder the current host code is always available on my blog! Host Code: URBMWZNY

So here is the Christmas card I made for my beloved, though it will not be surprise because he subscribes to my blog! Hee Hee! But is it the thought that counts, Right

  • I began with a Crumb Cake card base and added a 2 ½ x 4” piece of the Crumb Cake plaid from our Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the bottom of the card leaving an even border around the DSP.
  • Using the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine and the Layering Square Dies, I cut a square if Whisper White and a scalloped square of Cherry Cobbler.
  • To the white I stamped the two owls on the branch and colored them with some Stampin’ Blends (Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler) and layered it on the Cherry Cobbler with some Stampin’ Seal.  TIP: When coloring with Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers) always use the Memento Black ink to prevent bleeding.
  • For the greeting accent, I cut a 1 ¼ x 2 5/8” of Cherry Cobbler and used the Stitched Rectangles to cut the Whisper White for the actual saying, stamped in Memento Black

The inside is very simple. With no additional layers, I stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink directly on the Crumb Cake card base using the Merry Christmas saying from the bundle.

December 2020 Pals Blog Hop My Favorite Things!

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created projects showing “My Favorite Things” from any of the two current catalogs or the upcoming catalog in January. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My card today features the In the Pines Bundle, the For Unto Us stamp set and the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder.

  • Begin by using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder to create the dry embossed trees on a 4 x 5 ½” piece of thick Whisper White cardstock.
  • Layer and adhere embossed cardstock to a Whisper White card base 5 ½ x 8 ½” (score 8 ½” side at 4 ¼”).
  • Again using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the In the Pines Bundle cut several trees from the Gold Foil Sheets and adhere to the tree embossed layer using Tombow liquid glue. Cut 2 snow drifts from whisper white cardstock, 1 x 5 ½” and layer on the bottom of the card over the trees.
  • Using the Layering Oval Dies, cut a scalloped oval from the Gold Foil Sheets (1 ¾ x 2 ¾”) and a smooth oval from Whisper White cardstock (1 ¾ x 2 ¾”).  Use VersaMark ink to heat emboss the greeting on the white oval with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Adhere the white to the Gold oval and then add to Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Seal.

For the inside greetings I used the saying from the For Unto Us stamp set and the Merry Christmas from the Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Card Kit and heat embossed both greetings using VersaMark ink and the Stampin’ Gold Emboss Powder. For a complete list of supplies, see end of this post.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you have a blessed day! Stop back tomorrow for more craft creations. Until then, be Blessed!

Christmas Begins with Christ!

Today’s card features the NEW Christmas Classic Designer Series Paper and the For Unto Us Stamp Set. I chose to highlight Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler as my colors. I added some Gold Metallic trim and Red Rhinestones as accents.

Since there are a lot of measurements for this card, I thought it best just to list them so you too can create something fun today. This card would also look great using the Playing with Patterns 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper pictured on page 149 of the annual catalog. Perhaps with a birthday theme. I am sure it would have a whole new look!

Measurements/Directions:

  • Card base: Shaded Spruce – 5 ½” x 8 ½”; scored @ 4 ¼” in landscape position
  • Whisper White Cardstock – 3 ¾” x 5”, greeting stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink, Red Rhinestones for greeting
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock – 3 ¼” x 3 ½”
  • Classic Christmas 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper 1” x 3” (3); adhere to the Cherry Cobble and then to Whisper White
  • Gold metallic trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack – wrap it around the Cherry Cobbler three times and adhere in the back. Tie a bow and add to the front with glue dot. Adhere to the Whisper White.

For the inside, I layered a piece of Whisper White cardstock, 4 x 5 1/4″ and stamped the greeting in Shaded Spruce This greeting is from the Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Kit featured on page 4 of the Aug-Dec mini catalog. I layered three pieces of the same Christmas Classic Designer Series Paper that I used on the front. Strips measure 1/2 x 4″.

There is still time to add to your Christmas collection, but hurry many of these sets will be retiring, never to return again. Thanks so much for dropping by and if you would like to place an order, please use the Host Code:   9EDAFR74

Humility-Sunday Wisdom

Today we celebrate the second Sunday in Advent and the gospel reading is about John the Baptist.  Do you know what made John the Baptist truly great?  It was his humility and the way he pointed everyone to Jesus.

Sometimes one of our greatest human struggle is pride. We tend to be overly concerned about what others think of us and we begin to focus only on ourselves.  John the Baptist teaches humility by always focusing his attention on Jesus.

He knew who he was and whose he was, so humility was clearly found in his words and loving actions of placing the Lord first. Perhaps this Advent Season we can strive to be more like John and put others first. When we put others first, we put Christ first.

“Deliver us, Lord, we pray from evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ”.

I hope you have a blessed week! Until next time,

Stamping Hugs and Blessings,
Renae

Coffee Anyone?

Ok so I just have to take a little holiday break and enjoy one of my other favorite things…..COFFEE! So you got it, today is going to be just as the card indicates, although I am not totally sure about the awesome part!

This bundle, Nothing’s Better Than, was created by Connie Stewart and I just love it! I think the coffee cups are very retro. My card base is blushing bride and I have a 4 5 1/4″ layer of white on top. There are quite a few layers under my whimsical coffee cups. The colors I used are Whisper White, Mint Macroon, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake. I stamped the cups in those same colors and stamped the outline of each cup in Soft Suede.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento black, “And be Awesome” is mounted on Blushing Bride cardstock (3/8 x 1 3/4″). I used the coffee die from the bundle and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine using some Soft Suede cardstock.

The layer measurements for the stamped coffee cups are as follows: Mint Macroon-1 3/4 x5 1/4″, Blushing Bride-1 5/8 x 5 1/8″, Crumb Cake-1 1/2×5″, and Whisper White-1 3/8 x 4 7/8″. This is a really fun set and I hope you will check it out. It is on page 91 in the annual catalog.

I hope that you get a chance to drink coffee and be awesome today. If you don’t like coffee, there is always water! Right?

If you decide you cannot live without this set, then please use the host code: 9EDAFR74 If your order is more than $150, then skip the code and you will get the Stampin’ Rewards for your order!

Thanks for stopping by! I do hope that you will come back tomorrow to see another card creation. Until then, be Blessed!

A Peaceful Snowfall

I just love this time of year and am so looking forward to the first snowfall. I love after it snows how all is peaceful, calm and quiet.

Today’s card was born out of a challenge to myself. As much as I love the Snowflake Wishes Bundle, I have not used the larger die that cuts out a negative image, so this is the card that I created and if you have this set, I challenge you to create something using this die. If you don’t have the set, now is the time to add that to your Christmas craft collection.

I began with a Whisper White card base and added a 4 x 5 1/4″ layer of Basic Black on top. I cut the large die from the bundle using Whisper White cardstock and added that layer to the Basic Black. From Whisper White cardstock I cut the others snowflakes and added some Wink of Stella. It is hard to see in the picture, but trust me the snowflakes glisten in real life.

The peace is from the Joy Dies and I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine using the Gold Foil Sheets on page 153 or the annual catalog. Wouldn’t the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss make a great Christmas gift?

The inside greeting is from the For Unto Us stamp set and I stamped that in Memento Black, added a snowflake on the inside, and of’ course I used some Wink of Stella on it as well.

I hope you have a beautiful day. Here in St. Louis the weather is cold, but no snow yet. Stop back tomorrow for some more crafting fun. Until then, be Blessed!

Renae

Snow Inspired

Well after posting a Christmas card yesterday featuring a set from the annual catalog, I decided to do it again, only this time the stamp set is Snowman Season. I just love the happy little snowman throwing snow into the air. What an inspiration to be this full of joy and life. Of course snowmen only have to be happy a few months out of the year! HA! HA! HA!

Snowman Season page 63

This set is absolutely perfect and what could be more fun than building a snowman in your craft room. No cold wind or need for mittens, but hot chocolate is always welcome!

I decided to feature the joyful snowman on today’s card with a Night of Navy card base. To the bottom I added a 2 x 4″ piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper from the Aug-Dec mini catalog.

I stamped the happy snowman in Memento Black on some Whisper White cardstock and the Merry Christmas in Misty Moonlight ink (3 1/2 x 4″). I added some Misty Moonlight ribbon and a sweet little bow under the Merry Christmas sentiment.

I added a splash of color on my snowman and the snow around him using the Seaside Spray light marker. The nose is colored with Pumpkin Pie. The inside sentiment is from the Snowman Season set and stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.

To create the lighter looking snowflakes I stamped off the Misty Moonlight before adding it to the Whisper White cardstock (4 x 5 1/4″).

I truly hope you make heartwarming memories this holiday season. Feel free to leave a comment and as always I would be thrilled to be your Stampin’ UP! demonstrator. Our host code is: 9EDAFR74

I hope you will stop back tomorrow for some more crafting fun! Until then, be Blessed!

Winter Woods

Today I thought I would reach into the annual catalog for one of my favorite winter sets. Sometimes I get so caught up in the Holiday mini that I neglect all the amazing sets in the annual catalog, but not so today. I started with a Crumb Cake card base and added a layer of Whisper White where I stamped the winter trees in Crumb Cake ink.

For the bottom of the card, I stamped the Buffalo Check background stamp in Crumb Cake ink on a 1 1/2 x5 1/4″ piece of Old Olive cardstock. Before attaching it to the card I wrapped some linen thread around the base of the trees to help cover the seam. The greeting is stamped in Real Red ink on some Whisper White cardstock and then cut out using the oval from the Stitched Shaped Die set.

I used the scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals to create a Real Red accent on the tag. I really love how the Buffalo Check creates an instant plaid pattern in any color. I hope you enjoyed today’s throw back to the annual catalog card. If you need any stamping supplies I would love to be your demonstrator and you are welcome to contact me at anytime.

For orders less that $150, I so appreciate you all using the Host Code: 9EDAFR74 As always, I hope you have a great day and until next time, be Blessed!
