Stampin Cut and Emboss

Hello There Sweet Strawberry

I just love red and black together and this Sweet Strawberry Bundle is perfect to showcase these colors. I do like strawberries, but have to admit they are not my go to fruit. However, this is certainly my go to set and I love the sweet little flowers too!

Did you know that crafting is also educational? It’s true, I learned today that the top green leafy part of the strawberry is actually called the calyx. Yup, not the green leafy thing on top of the berry, but the calyx. Who knew!

You will find this sweet bundle in the JJ2021 Spring mini and remember, it is Sale-A-Bration time, so whenever you spend $50, you earn a FREE product. If you spend $100, then you will earn the Berry Blessings Bundle!

Berry Blessings Bundle

The Sweet Strawberry Bundle featured in my card below is a perfect companion for Berry Blessings. Don’t you just love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything for us. It makes creating cards so easy an fun!

  • Begin with a Basic White card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
  • Add a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of Real Red to the card front.
  • Using the Stamparatus and the Buffalo Check Background stamp, stamp in Memento ink on a piece of Basic white and then cut the image to 3 7/8 x 2 ½”.  Layer this on the left side of the Real Red panel.
  • Next, with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, cut the largest smooth oval from the Laying Oval dies from Basic Black cardstock.  Cut the next oval size smaller from Basic White cardstock and layer together.
  • Stamp the outline of the strawberry, leaves, calyx and the flower in Memento Black ink.  Then stamp the strawberries in Real Red ink, the leaves and the calyx in Granny Apple Green and leave the flower white.  I added a bit of yellow to the center using one of the Stampin’ Write markers.
  • After stamping all the images, punch out using the Strawberry Builder punch and layer onto the Black and White oval.
  • To finish the card simply add a sentiment and a little bling. I used the hello there stamp from the bundle and punched it out using the New Double Oval Punch.
  • I left my inside blank, but you could certainly add a strawberry or even a few of those sweet little flowers.

Berry Blessings-Wishing you the Berry Best

There are few things that I like better than free stamps and right now during our Sale-A-Bration event free stamps is the name of the game.

One of my favorite items in the SAB (short for Sale-A-Bration) catalog is the Berry Blessings stamp set and the Berry Delightful Designers Series Paper pack, which can be yours FREE when you make a $100 purchase.

The Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper pack really is delightful and the hints of water-coloring scattered throughout the patterns and the variety of berries is so welcoming that it is sure to be a spring favorite.

My card today was created with the Pacific Blue Plaid and the berries from the reverse side. It truly was an quick and easy card.

  • Begin with a Pacific Point card base 4 ¼ x 11. Score in landscape position at 5½”
  • On a 4 x 5¼” piece of white cardstock, stamp the outline of the leaves and blueberries from the NEW Berry Blessings stamp set in memento black ink on the upper portion of the cardstock.
  • Cut a 3 x 4” piece of the blue plaid paper from the Delightful Berry Designer Series paper pack and then cut off ½”, flip it over to reveal the coordinating side.
  • Layer the larger plaid piece on the bottom of the white cardstock and then adhere the ½” coordinating piece on the top edge of the plaid. Attach this layer to the Pacific Point card base.
  • Using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine cut the largest circle from the Stitched Shape Dies with white cardstock and stamp the greeting on the lower middle of the circle.
  • Stamp a leave and some berries on the circle and then cut out the largest circle from the Layering Oval Dies in Pacific Point cardstock.  Layer the two together.
  • Using some Stampin’ Dimensionals attach the circle to the card front
  • Next cut the largest circle from the Layering Oval Dies in Pacific Point cardstock.
  • For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of White cardstock and stamp a leaf and some berries using the same supplies as the card front.
  • Stamp the greeting in Memento black ink and your creation is complete!

You Are My Hoot

Today’s card features one of the retiring Holiday sets, Have a Hoot. I think it is so cute and very versatile. I am not sure how many of these little darlings are in stock, but the retiring sale is only while supplies last.

So here is the Christmas card I made for my beloved, though it will not be surprise because he subscribes to my blog! Hee Hee! But is it the thought that counts, Right

  • I began with a Crumb Cake card base and added a 2 ½ x 4” piece of the Crumb Cake plaid from our Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the bottom of the card leaving an even border around the DSP.
  • Using the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine and the Layering Square Dies, I cut a square if Whisper White and a scalloped square of Cherry Cobbler.
  • To the white I stamped the two owls on the branch and colored them with some Stampin’ Blends (Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler) and layered it on the Cherry Cobbler with some Stampin’ Seal.  TIP: When coloring with Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers) always use the Memento Black ink to prevent bleeding.
  • For the greeting accent, I cut a 1 ¼ x 2 5/8” of Cherry Cobbler and used the Stitched Rectangles to cut the Whisper White for the actual saying, stamped in Memento Black

The inside is very simple. With no additional layers, I stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink directly on the Crumb Cake card base using the Merry Christmas saying from the bundle.

Christmas Begins with Christ!

I hope you all are gathering your stamping supplies to create beautiful Christmas Cards to send out to your friends and loved ones. This year with all that has gone on in our world, it is nice to bring a little holiday joy by creating hand-stamped cards. My card today is again using the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper, but instead of the photo side, I opted to use the beautiful silver patterned side to create this elegantly layered card. I absolutely love the way it turned out! I began with a Whisper White card base and added a 4 x 5 1/4″ layer of smoky slate. To that added a Whisper White layer that I embossed with the new Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I cut a 3 x 5 piece of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper and added it to some smoky slate measuring 3 1/4 x 4 1/4.

The sentiment from For Unto Us is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White and cut using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Stitched Circle Dies and popped with the Stampin’ Dimensionals. Around the layer of Smoky Slate and Feels Like Frost Designer Series layer I tied some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon.

This was a fun card to create and while it took a little more than two minutes to create, I feel the extra time and labor was worth it! Thanks for stopping by today! Feel free to leave a comment. I hope you will join me again tomorrow for another fabulous card surprise! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.
