Inking Royal Blog Hop-Sailing Home!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects are centered around Travel & Transportation, so prepare yourself for a fun journey. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the end of this post.

I love participating in blog hops with my fellow team members because they are all so talented and each month I am excited to see something new. This month’s theme is travel and transportation and my card today is a relaxing scene, traveling on a quite lake or if you think bigger an ocean.

I would love to spend the day and even a night or two on a quite boat, swimming by day and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening while watching the sun set. I do love the sound of the ocean, but since my dream includes swimming during the day, I think I will stick to a lake and leave the sharks for those more adventurous.

Supplies

  • Night of Navy Cardstock- 5½ x 8½ ( card base)
  • Real Red Cardstock- 4 x 5¼
  • Basic White Cardstock- 3¾ x 5 (front), 4 x 5¼ (inside),2×3
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock- 2×2
  • Sailing Home Stamp Set
  • Smooth Sailing Dies
  • Colored Pencils, Real Red-Cajun Craze
  • Bumblebee, Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight and Memento Black Ink
  • Blending Brushes/Sponges or Daubers
  • Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals

Directions

  • Score Night of Navy cardstock in landscape position at 4 ¼.  Fold & burnish to create card base.
  • On the 3 ¾ x 5 white panel use Stampin’ sponges, daubers or blending brushes to create water scene.  I used Balmy Blue and Bumblebee for the sky and Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight for the water.
  • Stamp the boat in Memento Black ink on white cardstock and use colored pencils or Stampin’ Blend markers to color the boat. Crop boat using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and  coordinating dies.  Attach the boat to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the greeting and the birds in Memento Black ink and attach the water scene to the Real Red cardstock panel.  Attach panel to the card front.
  • Create another water scene on the 4 x 5 ¼ white panel for the inside. Crop ship’s wheel with Crumb Cake cardstock and attach to inside panel.

Darling Donkeys Birthday Bonanza

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created “Birthday Bonanza” projects to inspire you to make for all of your family and friends. We hope you enjoy and are inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments because we all love hearing from you! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Today’s card features a Z-Fold card using the Darling Donkey’s Sale-A-Bration set. I created a similar version for my January stamp camp. Z-fold cards are so fun and easy too! I hope you enjoy hopping along with us today.

  • Begin with a Cherry Cobbler card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”.  In landscape position, score at 4 ¼” and 2 1/8”.  The first score will fold your card in half, Fold the second score back onto itself to create the Z-Fold.  That’s all there is to it!
  • Cut two strips of your favorite Designer series paper 1 ¾ x 5 ¼”.  Layer these on the 2 inch panels.
  • Next cut two coordinating rectangles from the Stitched so Sweetly Dies, the larger one is cut using Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the smaller one with Basic White.
  • Stamp one of the Darling Donkeys on the White cardstock and color with watercolor pencils and layer this on the Cherry Cobbler rectangle.
  • Stamp “Hey There Friend” in Cherry Cobbler ink on Basic White cardstock and cut out using the paper snips and put it up on the corner of the donkey with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Next attach the Donkey rectangle to the front of the Z-fold 2” panel making sure to only apply adhesive to the left side.

Now let’s create the inside-

  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of White cardstock and layer on the inside.
  • Stamp Happy Birthday at the bottom of this white layer and add a ¼ x 4” strip of Cherry Cobbler just above the greeting.
  • Stamp two of the other Donkeys on white cardstock, color with watercolor pencils and fussy cut out. If you prefer, just stamp directly to the inside white cardstock panel and color. Using the brown watercolor pencil create a ground under the donkeys.
  • Stamp you’re the best in Memento Black ink and Hee Haw in Cherry Cobbler on some Basic White cardstock and cut out with the paper snips.  If you don’t want the added dimension or if you don’t enjoy fussy cutting, simply stamp the words directly to the inside cardstock.

Z-Fold cards are so fun and while they look complicated, they really are simple, just one additional score line and you have it. I hope you enjoy all the wonderful cards made by my very creative teammates.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on March 10th when our theme will be “Cute Critters” where the design team will be sharing projects that will feature critters of all sorts to inspire you. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.

Hearts, Heart, Heal Your Heart!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature hearts, so prepare yourself for lots and lots of love. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Today’s blog hop inspired me to create two fun fold heart cards and instead of the traditional red and pink hearts, I used the Heartfelt Bundle, Misty Moonlight ink and the New Misty Moonlight Designers Series Paper pack that will be featured in the next annual catalog.

Card #1
Begin with a standard white card base and cut 2¼” from the front of the card. Turning it in landscape position, add three hearts along the cut edge of the cardstock, attaching only the top half of the hearts to the card front. The third heart is attached in the middle with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The hearts were created using the Misty Moonlight Designer Series paper and the two punches from the Heartfelt Bundle. The stamped heart and the sentiment, although visible when the card is closed, is actually the inside and stamped directly on the card base in Misty Moonlight ink.

The smaller fancy heart is stamped on white scrap, cut out using the paper snips and attached to the larger heart with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The inside greeting, from Heal Your Heart is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. This Heal Your Heart stamp set is part of the Sale-A-Brations event and can be yours FREE with a $50 purchase through February of 2021.

Card # 2
This is another fun fold card with a few extra challenges. The outside image of this card is actually a combination of the card base front (Misty Moonlight) and an extension of the inside layer (Basic White) creating a fun fold.

  • Begin with a Misty Moonlight card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
  • Next cut a 5 ½ x 6 ½ piece of Basic White cardstock and in landscape position, score at 4 ¼”, this will create the inside portion of the card and the flap that folds to the front of the Misty Moonlight card front.
  • Attach the white that measures 4¼ x 5½” to the inside of the Misty Moonlight card base and stamp the Happy Valentines Day heart greeting in the center. The 2¼ x 5 ½” flap will fold to the outside of the card.
  • On the 2¼ x 5 ½” flap stamp the small heart in Misty Moonlight ink on both sides. Again, this flap will fold to the front of the card.
  • Using the hearts from the Heartfelt bundle, stamp and punch 4 large hearts.
  • Attach two of the hearts to the outside and two hearts to the inside of the white 2¼ x 5 ½” flap, aligning the center of the hearts with the edge of the cardstock and attaching both hearts back to back.
  • When you open the white card flap it reveals the next layer which is actually the Misty Moonlight card front pictured in the image below.
  • To create the three heart panel on the Misty Moonlight card front, punch three scalloped hearts from Misty Moonlight cardstock.
  • Stamp the smallest heart from the Heartfelt Bundle in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White cardstock and punch out three hearts using the smooth heart punch. Attach these to the scallop hearts.
  • Layer the three hearts in a triangle pattern on the front of the Misty Moonlight card base. Stamp the arrow at the bottom in Misty Moonlight ink.
  • Open this flap to reveal the inside of the card pictured below.

Berry Blessings-Pals Blog Hop!

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created projects featuring “Sale-A-Bration Products.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments. We love hearing from you! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My card today features the Berry Blessings and Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper pack that is FREE with a $100 purchase during Sale-A-Bration. The paper is bright and cheery garden and fruits on one side and colorful patterns on the flip side, making it super easy to coordinate when making your card designs.

  • Begin with a Blackberry Bliss card base 5½ x 8½. Score in landscape position at 4¼”.
  • Next cut a 4 x 5 ¼”piece of Garden Green for the card front, but do not attach.
  • Cut three pieces of Designer Series paper from the Berry Delightful paper pack that measure 1 ½ x 3 ½” and layer them onto a 3 ¾ x 5” piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, evenly spaces them so a small border of Blackberry Bliss is exposed.
  • Attach this panel to the previously cut Garden Green layer and wrap some linen thread around both layers.  I wrapped three times, but you can wrap more if desired.
  • Stamp the greeting on a piece of Basic White cardstock and using the Stampin Cut and Emboss machine and the Stitched Nested Labels from the annual catalog (p 183) cut out the greeting with one of the smaller dies.
  • Next cut the size up from some Blackberry Bliss cardstock and layer the two together.
  • Use several Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the greeting over the linen threads.
  • Finally add a small linen bow to the bottom of the greeting.

For the inside all you need is a 4 x 5¼ piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the greeting and the berries from the Berry Blessings set in Blackberry Bliss ink, to match the card base. The leaves are stamped with Garden Green ink to coordinate with the cardstock layer on the front of the card as well.

This really was a simple card, yet it looks so elegant. I love this paper and can’t wait to create more cards for you. But don’t go just yet, because more inspiration awaits!

Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Inking Royal Blog Hop-Happy New Year!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s December Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate New Year’s Day, a special day to start anew and prepare for the coming year. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Today’s card features the Life is Beautiful stamp set on page 51 of the Aug-Dec Holiday catalog.

    • Begin with a Poppy Parade card base, tent fold: 4 ¼ x 11”, score at 5 ½”.
    • Add a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of Basic Black to the card front.
    • Cut a 3 ¾ x 5” piece of Seaside Spray and stamp the tree in Early Espresso on the Seaside Spray panel.
    • Stamp the bird house to one of the tree limbs in Soft Suede. I masked the bird and stamped them in Real Red.  You can also color the birds directly to the stamp with a Real Red marker.  TIP:  Don’t forget to remove your mask before stamping.
    • To create the falling snow, stamp the snowflakes in VersaMark ink and heat emboss using White Embossing Powder.  Repeat the same method for the snow drift around the tree.
    • Wrap a piece of Poppy Parade ribbon from All the Trimmings Ribbon pack around the Seaside Spray panel.
    • The Happy New Year greeting is from Itty Bitty Christmas.  I masked off Merry Christmas before stamping in Poppy Parade ink.  TIP: Again, don’t forget to take off the mask before stamping on Whisper White cardstock.
    • Cut out the greeting using one of the scalloped ovals from the Layering Oval dies.  Cut a smooth oval from the same die set out of Poppy Parade cardstock and layer the greeting on top.
    • Adhere with several mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the top of the ribbon.
    • For the inside of the card, layer a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamp the greeting from Life is Beautiful in Memento Black ink.
    • Stamp a few stars in Poppy Parade ink and Seaside Spray Ink.

I hope you have a Blessed New Year and are able to celebrate in style wherever you may be. Thank you for stopping by today.

December 2020 Pals Blog Hop My Favorite Things!

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created projects showing “My Favorite Things” from any of the two current catalogs or the upcoming catalog in January. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My card today features the In the Pines Bundle, the For Unto Us stamp set and the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder.

    • Begin by using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder to create the dry embossed trees on a 4 x 5 ½” piece of thick Whisper White cardstock.
    • Layer and adhere embossed cardstock to a Whisper White card base 5 ½ x 8 ½” (score 8 ½” side at 4 ¼”).
    • Again using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the In the Pines Bundle cut several trees from the Gold Foil Sheets and adhere to the tree embossed layer using Tombow liquid glue. Cut 2 snow drifts from whisper white cardstock, 1 x 5 ½” and layer on the bottom of the card over the trees.
    • Using the Layering Oval Dies, cut a scalloped oval from the Gold Foil Sheets (1 ¾ x 2 ¾”) and a smooth oval from Whisper White cardstock (1 ¾ x 2 ¾”).  Use VersaMark ink to heat emboss the greeting on the white oval with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Adhere the white to the Gold oval and then add to Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Seal.

For the inside greetings I used the saying from the For Unto Us stamp set and the Merry Christmas from the Joy of Sharing All Inclusive Card Kit and heat embossed both greetings using VersaMark ink and the Stampin’ Gold Emboss Powder. For a complete list of supplies, see end of this post.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you have a blessed day! Stop back tomorrow for more craft creations. Until then, be Blessed!
    Stamping Hugs and Blessings,
    Renae

    Christmas Inking Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Christmas, which – believe it or not – is just around the corner. Please prepare yourself for lots of beautiful projects that share the joy of this holiday. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I just have to say that I love being an InKing Royal!!!!

As soon as I saw the NEW Snowflake Wishes Bundle, I knew I had to have it. Here is what I created using this bundle and the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. I cannot resist Snowflakes and Snowmen! Anyone else share my addiction???  Come on, be honest!!!  There are worse things! LOL

    Card Front

I used the Winter Snow Embossing folder to accent the right of the card, which I think pairs beautiful with all of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Papers. I added a small strip of Silver Metallic ribbon to hide the seam and the greeting in Smoky Slate on the Whisper White cardstock that I cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. I added three small pearls that compliment the designer series paper and the ribbon. I love the soft and elegant look!  Don’t you?

    Inside Card

For the inside I stamped a Christmas sentiment and the snowflakes in Smoky Slate. The sentiment is from the new Snow Wonder set. Yup, you guessed it another Snowman Set!!!! You can never have too many Snowmen! Right?

    Outside of Envelope
    Envelope Flap

I enjoy decorating the outside and flaps of my envelopes and I challenge you to do the same! You never know it might just put a little joy in your mail carriers day! I also made this cute little tag with the tiny snowflakes from the bundle. It is just perfect for any holiday gift!  The die cut is using Whisper White cardstock and the Tasteful Labels. I layered it on a Smoky Slate Oval and used the To and From stamp sets from the Tag Buffet stamp set. The Tag Buffet set is great for making all kinds of holiday tags!

Simple Tag great for any gift!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop Laura Kreuger, The Stamp Coach. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it! I hope you will stop back tomorrow for some more crating fun. Until next time, be blessed
    Stamping Hugs and Blessings,
    Renae

    Thanksgiving InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Thanksgiving, so prepare yourself for Autumn landscapes, warm colors and sweet reminders of all the reasons we have to be grateful this time of year. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I created my Thanksgiving card using the Celebrate Sunflowers set and the greeting from the Gather Together set featured in the August-December mini catalog. I used the Plaid Tiding Designer Series Paper, but I have to admit even though the suggested color is Cherry Cobbler, I actually preferred the Merry Merlot card base.

I layered a piece of Very Vanilla 4x 5 1/4 on top of the Merry Merlot and added a piece strip of the Plaid Tidings 2 x 5 1/4 to the bottom. I added a small strip of Bumblebee cardstock and colored my sunflowers with our Stampin’ Blends! As a final touch I added three Metallic Gold Pearls.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Pam Morris at Tap Tap Stamp. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
