Rain or Shine Always Thinking of You!

I am really going to miss this Rain or Shine Designer Series paper, but am so glad this cute bundle will not be retiring. Well, the stamps will not retire, but if you want to save 10% by ordering the bundle, now is the time. The bundle price will not be in the next catalog, so go ahead and treat yourself today. Be sure to use the current host code at the bottom of this post so you can earn the free April Virtual Stamp Camp!

I started with a Calypso Coral card base and cut a 2¾ x 4 piece of DSP that I mounted to a layer of Basic Black. I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut the turtle and a few umbrellas. If you don’t have our Paper Snips, they are totally worth the investment. I tried cutting with another brand of small scissors and it just did not have the same smoothness and precision. Again, at only $11 they are totally worth the investment.

The greeting is from Nestled Friends and is stamped with Memento Black ink. I really love all the characters in the paper pack and in the bundle, but I think the turtle is my absolute favorite. He is both cute and mischievous-so stinkin’ cute. Happy Stamping. I know you will have fun creating with this amazing paper.

Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Easter Bunny-Celebrate His Love

It is almost Easter so I thought I would share with you this super cute bunny card. This card looks really complicated but it isn’t. Time consuming maybe, but trust me it is not hard. I used the Easter Bunny and the Rejoice in Him sets.

I started with a Crumb Cake card and added a layer of Early Espresso CS and then a layer of Pear Pizzazz that I embossed with the new Cane Weave embossing folder. These adorable bunnies were stamped on Crumb Cake CS and colored with colored pencils and a Blender Pen. I used Early Espresso, Basic Gray, and Basic White pencils. This is a water coloring technique that is perfect for shading these bunnies.

And oh, a little pink for the ears. To create the white fur on the bunnies back I used a watercolor painter and some Basic White Craft ink. I stamped the greeting with Night of Navy ink and fussy cut it out with my paper snips. Happy Stamping!

Easter Card and Candy Box-Make It Monday #103

Welcome to Holy Week my friends. We are only one week away from Easter and today I am excited to share with you two Easter Treats, a card and a super easy Candy Box. This fun box is created using only a 4 x 5 piece of cardstock and for the lid, a and a 2½ x 6 pc of Designer Series paper. Now that is amazing! Don’t forget to put the yummy treats inside and if you are feeling really generous, add a roll of cash. It all depends on who will receive these treats.

Easter Candy Box-A Closer Look!

I am making 25 boxes for my co-workers, so I decided to go with the peanut butter cup treats and not the cash. LOL Perhaps when I am blessed with grandkids, I will think about the roll of cash. Regardless of what goes in your box, I am sure you will be a blessing to others.

Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Rain or Shine You’re On My Mind!

The Rain or Shine Designer Series paper featured in the mini January -April catalog is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I love these little critters. They are so bright and cheery, even if it is raining.

I started with a Balmy Blue card base and added a layer of Basic Black and then a layer of Rain or Shine DSP to the card front. Yes, I fussy cut Mr. Fox and the little flower bouquet, but you have to admit, they make the card. The sentiment is from Nature’s Prints featured in the 2022-2023 annual catalog.

#blessedbycards

Did you know that many of the products in the mini catalog will be retiring soon. I know it is hard to believe we are almost to the end of the mini and the annual catalog. So little time and so many great stamp sets!!! The retired lists will be coming soon, so grab your favorite sets while you can and as always, Happy Stamping!

Celebrating Friends-Favorite things Friday!

Hello all, it is so hard to believe it is already Friday. The weeks seem to be going faster and faster, unlike when I was a kid in school and could not wait for the weekend. LOL It is time again for one of my favorite monthly outings, a visit with my friends at Mother of Good Counsel Home. I love sharing my love for making cards with the residents. They are such a lovely group. I typically have about 10 people join in the fun. I know they will love the cards and I hope you do too.

Here is a close look at the three cards we will be making!

#blessedbycards

This card was created with the Rejoice in Him stamp set featured in the mini catalog. I used Soft Suede and Old Olive inks. The patterned paper is not Stampin’ Up!, but the residents won’t mind.

#blessedbycards

This card was created with some retired pink cardstock, probably Pretty in Pink. I used the Uniquely Artistic set featured in the 2022-2023 annual catalog. I do believe the greeting is from a retired set, but I used Garden Green ink and that is in the catalog.

#blessedbycards

My last card was created using retired sets, Touches of Texture and Wetlands. The leaves were stamped with Old Olive and the flowers with Lovely Lipstick. I hope you have a Fantastic Friday! Happy Stamping!

Happy Easter with Arrange a Wreath!

Happy Easter all! It looks like the weather in St. Louis will be sunny all weekend! Gotta love that! I hope you will be able to spend some time with family and friends and if not you can always spend time in your craft room creating things for your family and friends! Either way, I do hope your Easter weekend is blessed!

  • Begin with a Pacific Point card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼.  Fold and burnish.  This will create a card base.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 ¼” panel of Basic White cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss it with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. Attach this to the card front.
  • Use the wreath dies from the Arrange a Wreath Bundle to cut out a Shaded Spruce fancy wreath and a Just Jade leafy wreath and glue them together.
  • Next use the bow die and some Pacific Point cardstock to create the wreath bow.  Attach the bow to the left side of the wreath and add a small rhinestone in the center.
  • Stamp the Easter eggs in Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight and attach them to the wreath with liquid glue or glue dots.
  • Use the Label Me Fancy punch to punch out a Pacific Point tag.  Stamp Happy Easter in Pacific Point ink on a ¾ x 1 ½” piece of Basic White cardstock and attach to the label tag.  Add a rhinestone on each end of the tag.
  • Attach the tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and again Happy Easter! May your day be filled with many, many blessings!
