In Bloom Birthday Celebration!

I just love the stitched flowers in the In Bloom Bundle. And yes, I know I probably have a ton of flower stamps and really didn’t need another one, but I could not resist these stitched dies.

I do love flowers, but since I do not have a green thumb, I decided this bundle was worth it because the flowers will live forever!

  • Begin with a Basic White card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”.
  • Randomly stamp flower, big and small all over the front, use some leaves and some accent dots to create a designer series paper look. I used Rococo Rose, Pretty Peacock and Mossy Meadow.
  • Cut a 3 ¼ x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine to dry emboss it with the Meadow Moments embossing folder.  I used the one with the butterflies.
  • Use the flower and leaf dies from the In Bloom Bundle to cut a flower out of Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose cardstock. The leaves are cut using Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • Layer a big and little flower w/leaves to the top left of the embossed white cardstock.
  • Stamp the Happy Birthday greeting from Sweet Strawberry in Pretty Peacock ink on some Basic white cardstock and then cut it out using the frame die in the bundle.
  • Add a small Rococo Rose flower and a few leaves to the corner of the greeting and pop it up on the cardstock with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Isn’t amazing that just stamping these flowers creates a beautiful designer series paper look. I am sure there are a plethora of other stamps in my collection that will create this same effect. Sometimes the simplest things make a card beautiful.

I encourage you to be creative with your stamp collection and create your own designer series paper. Don’t forget if you want to add the In Bloom Bundle to your stamping toys, you still have time this month to earn FREE Sale-a-Bration sets!

Amazing In Bloom Bundle

Sometimes it is fun to look through my cardstock stash and see what colors have been neglected. I am sure you can relate and have your favorite go-to colors, right?

The colors I found needing a little attention were Rococo Rose and Mint Macroon, luckily they look pretty good together, so using the New In Bloom Bundle, I created today’s card.

Leave me a comment below and let me know your favorite go-to colors and I will randomly pick someone to received a pack of Stampin’ Dimensionals. Be sure to leave your comment by the end of the day on Saturday as I will announce the winner next week.

The Stampin’ Dimensionals will come in handy if you want to case this card! Don’t you just love the stitched dies in this bundle.

  • Begin with a Mint Macroon card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”.
  • Attach a 3 ¾ x 5” layer of Basic Black cardstock to the front panel. Next attach a diagonal piece of Rococo Rose cardstock to the black panel.
  • To create the diagonal a 3½ x 4¾” piece of Rococo Rose from corner to corner. This will create two diagonal pieces.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to cut out flowers and leaves from the Pierced Blooms Dies in the In Bloom bundle. Layer the flower and leaves along the diagonal cut.
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up some of the flowers.
  • Stamp the greeting in Memento Ink and cut with the label die included in the bundle.

For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of White cardstock and with Memento Black ink stamp the greeting from In Bloom and add a small stamped flower in Rococo Rose ink.

TIP: The stamp I used for the inside is the Happy Birthday you really are the best. You could mask the Happy Birthday, but I cut it with my paper snips. I decided I would probably use them more separately than together!

Don’t forgot to leave a comment for your chance to win some Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Sweet Strawberry-You are Amazing!

This card was totally inspired by one of my customers, Betty, who brought me a sweet valentine. I should have taken a picture of it before I ate it. Not the card, but the chocolate candy heart! LOL

Betty’s card looked exactly like the one below, except she glued a chocolate candy heart in the center of the Stitched Shape Circle. I copied her card, but instead of the candy, I added a few strawberries-less calories! LOL I also added the greeting from the In Bloom Bundle.

Here is my card~

  • Begin with a Basic White card base 5½ x 8½. Score in landscape position at 4¼”.
  • Next cut a 4 x 5 ¼”piece of Real Red cardstock and using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, run it through with the Tastefully Textile 3-D embossing folder. Layer to the front of the card base.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to cut one of the Stitched Shapes Circle from Basic White cardstock.
  • Stamp the strawberries, leaves and flowers from the Sweet Strawberry Bundle and layer on the circle.  Color the inside of the flower with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. Attach the circle to the center of the red panel.
  • Use the Stamparatus to add the greeting in Memento Black ink.  I love this tool and it really does help get a darker image, especially when stamping on a textured image.

Betty wrote a very sweet note to me on the inside of her card. And on the inside of mine, I added another greeting from the In Bloom Bundle and one of the flowers from the Sweet Strawberry Bundle. It really was that simple.

Thanks Betty for your thoughtfulness, it really touched my heart! I just love how stamping and crafting has allowed me to make new and wonderful friends!

Hello There Sweet Strawberry

I just love red and black together and this Sweet Strawberry Bundle is perfect to showcase these colors. I do like strawberries, but have to admit they are not my go to fruit. However, this is certainly my go to set and I love the sweet little flowers too!

Did you know that crafting is also educational? It’s true, I learned today that the top green leafy part of the strawberry is actually called the calyx. Yup, not the green leafy thing on top of the berry, but the calyx. Who knew!

You will find this sweet bundle in the JJ2021 Spring mini and remember, it is Sale-A-Bration time, so whenever you spend $50, you earn a FREE product. If you spend $100, then you will earn the Berry Blessings Bundle!

Berry Blessings Bundle

The Sweet Strawberry Bundle featured in my card below is a perfect companion for Berry Blessings. Don’t you just love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything for us. It makes creating cards so easy an fun!

  • Begin with a Basic White card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
  • Add a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of Real Red to the card front.
  • Using the Stamparatus and the Buffalo Check Background stamp, stamp in Memento ink on a piece of Basic white and then cut the image to 3 7/8 x 2 ½”.  Layer this on the left side of the Real Red panel.
  • Next, with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, cut the largest smooth oval from the Laying Oval dies from Basic Black cardstock.  Cut the next oval size smaller from Basic White cardstock and layer together.
  • Stamp the outline of the strawberry, leaves, calyx and the flower in Memento Black ink.  Then stamp the strawberries in Real Red ink, the leaves and the calyx in Granny Apple Green and leave the flower white.  I added a bit of yellow to the center using one of the Stampin’ Write markers.
  • After stamping all the images, punch out using the Strawberry Builder punch and layer onto the Black and White oval.
  • To finish the card simply add a sentiment and a little bling. I used the hello there stamp from the bundle and punched it out using the New Double Oval Punch.
  • I left my inside blank, but you could certainly add a strawberry or even a few of those sweet little flowers.

To A Wild Rose-Feeling Blessed!

Some days one just feels more blessed than other. While it was a crazy and different Christmas Season, I feel so blessed that both of my children could come home for the holidays. Game nights are always a hoot at our house! Throw in a little Moscow Mules (them) and some Chardonnay (me) and things really become interesting.

At any rate I am blessed and I know it so todays card is just an expression of my gratitude and it features the To A Wild Rose stamp set on page 15 of the Annual Catalog. It is Sale-A-Bration time, so if you add this set and the coordinating dies, you can choose a FREE set or paper pack from the Sale-A-Brations catalog.

The To a Wild Rose stamp set is two-step stamp which basically means the stamps coordinate and build on the detail of the image. Using the Stamparatus is very helpful with working with two-step images.

  • Begin with a Basic White card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
  • Using the Stampin Cut and Emboss machine dry emboss a 4 x 5¼” piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Subtle embossing folder.
  • On a 3 ½ x 4 ¾ piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp Blessed in Memento Ink near the lower right corner.
  • On a scrap piece of white cardstock stamp the outline image of the Rose in Memento Black ink. Next stamp the totally solid rose image in Blushing Bride ink and finally stamp the detailed rose image in Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • Using the Wild Rose dies, cut out the Rose. Put three Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the Rose, but do not peel off the adhesive.
  • Stamp the leaves outline stamp in Memento Black ink on the card, using the Rose as a guide.  Stamp the solid green image of the leaves in Mossy Meadow ink.
  • Peel off the Stampin’ Dimensional adhesive and position over the leaves.
  • Add three Rhinestones around on the white cardstock.

Lovely You for 2021

Sometimes we just need to make and send a card for no reason at all. I send a lot of cards to people in my parish community who have not been able to get out much and have heard from a lot of them how our cards bring joy to their day.

Today’s card features the Lovely You stamp set from the Annual Catalog (p. 22) with Misty Moonlight, Just Jade and Bumblebee from the 2020-2022 In-Colors. It is one of those cards that we send……just because.

  • Begin with a Whisper White card base 5½ x 8½”. Score in landscape position at 4¼”.
  • Layer a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Misty Moonlight on the card front.
  • Cut a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” piece of Just Jade cardstock and using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine dry emboss with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and layer on top of the Misty Moonlight panel.
  • Cut a 2 ½ x 5 1/8” of Whisper White cardstock and tear along one side. Randomly stamp the leaf stamp in Just Jade ink along the torn edge. Add Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight flowers. Layer the Whisper White on the Just Jade cardstock.
  • Using the NEW Double Oval punch, punch out a Misty Moonlight scalloped oval.
  • Next punch out a small white oval and stamp the greeting in Misty Moonlight ink. Layer on the Misty Moonlight scalloped oval and adhere to card using some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside, stamp the one leaf with Just Jade and two flower, one in Misty Moonlight ink and the other in Bumblebee.

I hope this card will inspire you to send to that someone in your life, just because!

Blessed!

My card today does not use the typical Thanksgiving Holiday colors but was a color challenge I did with Brian King this past summer using So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo and Cinnamon Cider. While the colors are not traditional, the sentiment of feeling blessed is just perfect for this time of year.

Brian is so great with color combos, but this was actually my first ever color challenge and I may have cheated a bit and threw in some green, who knew! I started with a So Saffron card base and added a layer of Cinnamon Cider 4 x 5 1/4. The Flirty Flamingo Layer is cut at 4 5/8 x 3 3/8 and I stamped the rose from To a Wild Rose set on Whisper White using our Flirty Flamingo ink. Two of the roses are stamped directly on the piece of Whisper White and the one in the middle is cut out using the rose die from the bundle.

I stamped the Blessed sentiment in memento black and added some basic jeweled rhinestones. I also decided to decorate the inside of the card with a strip of all the colors in the challenge and some more rhinestones. The leaves are stamped with Old Olive ink and the sentiment is also from the To A Wild Rose set.

I hope you liked this card and feel inspired to use this color combo from Brian King to create something beautiful today. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will leave a comment and stop back tomorrow for some more crafty cards! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.

Forever Fern-Forever Friendships!

This is a perfect fall and friendship card to send to that someone who may need a little sunshine in their day and I know just the person I am going to send it to. I created the background using a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4 x 5 and stamped some of the images from this set. I love the way it turned out because our Stampin’ UP! colors blend so well together. It may not look like it but I just used two inks, Shaded Spruce and Pear Pizzazz. To create the lighter images, I stamped off first. The card base is Pear Pizzazz with a layer of Shaded Spruce (4 x 5 1/4).

The faux ribbon is actually a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock (3/4 x 5). I sponged around the saying with some Shaded Spruce ink and of course added some rhinestones for a little bling! If you don’t want to make your own Designer Series Paper, the Forever Greenery paper is on sale thought the end of October. I hope you enjoy this fun fall card and create one to make someone smile today. Stamping Hugs and Blessings!

Connecting with the talents of others!

This card post was made possible because of the talents of a fellow Stamping demonstrator Michelle Laliberte Quinno. I just love being a part of a team who has so many gifts to share. After all crafting is all about copying and sharing the gifts of others. I hope that Michelle inspires you as well. Check out this and other cards featured in the Plaid Tidings Card Kit to Go.

If you do not already have the Celebrate Sunflowers, now is a good time to add it to your collection of stamps. Don’t forget the paper is only on sale for a few more weeks.

This is Michelle’s original design. Thanks Michelle for sharing you are so talented!
