Last week I was involved in a fun team meeting that included a Mystery Stamping fun fold card so I thought I would share that with you today. If you are not familiar with Mystery Stamping it is a fun virtual event where a leader give mystery clues for each step of the card making process. It is a lot of fun and of course always interesting to see everyone’s final creation.

Happy Friday-Flowing Flowers!

Yay! It is Friday. I don’t know about you, but I am glad the weekend is here! The only bad thing about having time off from work during the holidays is how hard it is to get back into the swing of things again. I love working, but I also love staying home and crafting!!!

Today’s card features the Flowing Flowers set in the January-June mini catalog. I love the details in this stamp set. While the new is great, I am still in love with so many of the stamp sets in the annual catalog, so I used an oldie but goodie to pair with the flowers. Can you guess what stamp set it is?????

I created the my own patterned paper using just one ink pad, Blackberry Bliss and a strip of Basic White CS (2 x 5¼). Ink “blotchy” looking stamps and stamp two times before re-inking to get the lighter image. Have you figured out, the set from the annual catalog?????? HINT: The “blotchy” looking stamps are from that set.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies for the greeting and the Layering Circle Dies for the flower. Yes, I fussy cut the flower and added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back before adding it to the circles.

This really was a super simple card, but then clean and simple is one of my favorite things. Add this set to your collection. I know you will have fun creating with it. Our host code is: C77FJQM2. Thanks for shopping with me!

Rain or Shine?

Are you a rain or a shine person? I think I am both. I love the sunshine, but I also love a good summer thunderstorm. Not the tornado type like we have seen in the mid-west this year, but a cooling summer thunderstorm. There is just something magical about the day turning dark in the middle of the afternoon. Blessings of Home-Coming January 4th!

I hope you are enjoying spending time with family. I am blessed to have the week after Christmas off and am enjoying this time to spend with my adult kids! Wow, how did that happen? The growing up, not the enjoying part. LOL
