Thank you Kindness-Dainty Flowers

Today I decided to create a card with Poppy Parade. I do like this color, but for some reason I don’t use it very often, so I decided to pair it with Misty Moonlight and the Dainty Flowers stamp set. I stated with the Poppy Parade card base and added a layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock. The Basic White panel measures 3-3/4 x 5.

The flowers are stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Poppy Parade, Misty Moonlight and Granny Apple Stampin’ Blend markers. The greeting is stamped with Misty Moonlight. This Dainty Flower set is very versatile and the greetings are very dainty. I wonder if that is why they called this set Dainty Flowers.

The card seriously did not take much time to create. I think I spent more time deciding on the colors than I did creating the actual card. So go ahead and grab some Stampin’ Blends and create something beautiful today.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Double Layer and Dainty Flowers-Favorite Things Friday

Today I thought it would be fun to double layer my card with a little embossing. One of my favorite ways to spruce up a card is to add a little dry embossing. In this case, I used the Cane Weave embossing folder. I started with a Basic White card base and dry embossed two layers, Highland Heather and Basic White layer.

On a scrap paper I stamped the flowers from Dainty Flowers, colored them using the Highland Heather Blend Combo markers and cropped them using the coordinating dies. Because I had two layers of the embossed images, I decided to crop the leaves using Mossy Meadow cardstock. I went with the darker green so they would stand out. I was afraid a lighter color might get lost.

I really like how this turned out and decided to add a little bling. I am not sure if these pearl dots are still in the catalog, but they match perfectly. Retired or not adding bling to a card is just plain fun! Don’t you agree.

Simple And Dainty Flowers

Sometimes the simple things in life are the best. They are not free mind you, but the best. Every once in awhile it is fun to create a tone on tone card using our Basic White cardstock. For today’s card I embossed the front panel of my card with the Fern 3-D embossing folder and then added a layer of Basic White using some of our Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Of course before mounting my second white layer, I stamped the flowers from the Dainty Flower stamp set with Memento Black ink and colored them with Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. The greeting is also from this set and is stamped in Memento Black ink. I layered the greeting using Stampin’ Dimensionals as well.

I really love how the tone on tone white makes it super simple to make this card look elegant. Happy Stampin’!

Happy Birthday! Petal Park Flowers

Last week I posted a sympathy card using the Petal Park stamp set and Petal Park Builder punch and today, I am posting a much happier card. This is the birthday card I make for my niece. Her birthday was in April and so I thought these flowers were just perfect for her card.

I used one of the new colors in our main line, Bubble Bath pink. I think this color is so soft and welcoming. It is great for a birthday, anniversary or thinking of you card, but I can also see using it for a baby card. I have to admit I cheated and used one of our retired inks, Soft Succulent. To be honest, I had already created the card and then realized Soft Succulent retired. Oh well, I decided to post it for you anyway.

In addition to Petal Park, I also used the greetings from Lighting the Way and Something Fancy. If you have not already added Bubble Bath to your ink pad collection, now is the time. I really do think you will love how soft it looks on your card creations.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Petal Park Sympathy

Well folks, another Sympathy card. I guess some weeks are just like that. Luckily the Petal Park set and builder punch is a great choice to lift someone’s spirit. I love these flowers and the punch make it so quick and easy. Click here for tips on how to stamp and punch perfect images every time.

While sending sympathy cards is not my favorite thing, flowers are and of course there are a lot of flower choices in the new 2023-2024 AC (annual catalog). This card could easily be turned into a birthday, anniversary or thinking of you card.

I started with a Highland Heather card base and added a Basic White panel. I then stamped the leave images with Granny Apple Green ink, followed by Memento Black for the matching detailed stamp, directly to the white panel. On a scrap piece of Basic White I lined up my stamps with the punch (click here for video on that) and stamped the flowers in Highland Heather ink and the again the detailed flowers with Memento Black ink. Punch and arrange flowers as desired.

The greeting is from Something Fancy and is stamped in Memento Black. I first tried stamping the leaves in Garden Green and then Old Olive, but they seemed too dark, so I went for the Granny Apple Green.

Happy Stamping!

Colorful Flowers-Favorite Things Friday!

Don’t you just love colorful flowers? The only down side is depending on what kind, they don’t last very long. I love tulips and they definitely don’t last long after they are cut. Today’s flowers will not fade. I used the Color and Contour stamp set and some of our famous watercolor pencils. To create the blended color look on the flowers, I used a blender pen.

#blender pen

I started with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Pacific Point (2 ¾  x 4 ¼). The flowers are stamped on scrap white, colored and cropped with coordinating dies. The greeting is from Something Fancy.

The Pacific Point is retiring and may not be available, but Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight or Blueberry Bushel would be great alternative. This is a super simple and very quick card, but I hope it inspires you to create something beautiful.

You’re In My Thoughts-Happiness Abounds

My card today features the flowers from Happiness Abounds. I colored them using our watercolor pencils and a blender pen. If you are not familiar with our blender pen, it is an amazing way to blend and smooth the lines of any image that is colored with watercolor pencils. You can even use the blender pen with your ink pads to create a colored marker.

In my sample I used Gorgeous Grape and Old Olive pencils. The greeting is from a new set that will be featured in the May 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. I began with a Gorgeous Grape card base and added a panel of Basic White that I embossed using the Metal Plate 3-D embossing folder.

#blessedbycards

I used some scrap pieces of white to stamp and crop my flowers and leaves and attached them to a 3 x 3 piece of Basic White CS using Stampin’ Dimensionals . The greeting is stamped with Memento Black ink and attached to a 3-1/8 x3-1/8″ square of Gorgeous Grape CS.

I hope this card finds you in good health and inspires you to create something beautiful to share with others. Happy Stamping!

Faux Linen Technique- Make It Monday #105

Good morning all, I hope you had a blessed weekend. It is time for another Make It Monday video and I am excited to share with you another stamping technique. This week we will learn about how to create a Faux Linen background. I am sharing two different ways to create this look, so I hope you enjoy today’s technique.

This is a great technique to stretch your stamping skills. By far the first one is totally awesome and not messy at all, but then again the second one has some vibrant colors to create a fun background, so maybe getting a little messy is worth it. Either way, Happy Stamping!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Cheerful Daisies Bundle-Favorite Things Friday!

What is more exciting than new stamp sets! I am excited to share with you one of the new bundles in the 2023-2023 Annual Catalog, Cheerful Daisies. Daisies and Tulips are two of my favorite flowers and this bundle features a large, small and half daisy. Unfortunately there will not be a new Tulip bundle, maybe next time.

#blessedbycards

I began with a Crushed Curry card base and added a layer for Early Espresso and Basic White. I stamped the flowers with Crushed Curry and Early Espresso ink and the leaves in Old Olive. The greeting is punched with the Label Me Fancy punch that will soon be retiring.

The new catalog will go live May 1st, and while there s just one of the many new that are featured. There is still time to get some of the last chance products in the retiring catalogs. Just a reminder that retiring products are while supplies last.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae
