Good-bye Summer but not Shaded Summer!

The days are getting shorter and soon we will say farewell to those summer days, but the good news is we don’t have to say good-bye to the Shaded Summer stamp set, at least not yet! So here is a super sweet card my friend Cherie made for me so I thought I would share it with you.

All Measurement=inches CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper Landscape Position=Long side Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

Garden Green CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base), 2 x 2 , 3 ¾ x 5 (2)
Melon Mambo CS-4 x 5¼ Smoky Slate CS- 4 x 5¼
Basic White CS-3¼ x 4¼, 1 x 1
Shaded Summer Stamp Set
Garden Green and Melon Mambo Makers-floral image
Garden Green Ink-greeting
Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Tasteful Label Dies
Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue
Stampin’ Dimensionals

Directions

Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
Layer Mambo Melon CS to card front.
Next use the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine to crop the White CS panel using the Stitched So Sweekly Dies.
Color the floral image with Mambo Melon and Garden Green markers and stamp in the center of White CS.
Attach White panel to card front.
Stamp greeting in Garden Green on Basic White CS and crop using the Tasteful Label Dies. Crop Garden Green circle using same die set and layer together.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach circle greeting to card front as shown.
Layer 4 x 5¼ piece of White CS to inside and decorate as desired.

Simple Stamping with Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper

Sometimes all you need is just a little simple stamping. For those of you unfamiliar, simple stamping is when a card is created using simply stamps, paper and inks. It is great for beginners because you do not need a ton of supplies, although you may want all the ink pads. LOL

Today’s card uses Highland Heather cardstock, Hand-Penned Designer Series paper, Memento Black and Highland Heather Ink and the Color and Contour stamp set. #simplestamping

Supplies

Highland Heather CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base), 3 x 4
Hand Penned DSP- 4 x 5 ¼
Basic White CS: 2-7/8 x 3-7/8, 4x 5¼
Basic White CS: 4 x 5 ¼ (inside)
Color and Contour Stamp Set
Memento Black Ink
Highland Heather Ink
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

Directions

Directions:
Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
Add Hand-Penned DSP panel to card front.
On Basic White CS, stamp flowers and greeting. Layer to Highland Heather and attach to card front.
Add 4 x 5¼ Basic White panel to the inside and decorate as desired.

Glue Dots-Color & Contour!

Yesterday I shared a video tutorial of some tips and ways to use Stampin’ Up!’s Mini Glue dots. Click here if you missed that video. As promised, here are the details on the second card I created using the Color and Contour Bundle. Sometimes those quick and easy cards are the best.

Cutting Measurements

All Measurement=inches CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper Landscape Position=Long side Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

Misty Moonlight Cardstock- 5½ x 8½
Basic White Cardstock- 4 x 5¼ ,
Color and Contour Stamp Set
Take Your Pick Tool
Misty Moonlight Ink
Mini Glue Dots
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive
Misty Moonlight Ribbon

Directions

Stamp Misty Moonlight Flowers and greeting on Basic White cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink.
Attach ribbon to white cardstock using Mini Glue Dots as shown in the video.
Attach white layer to card front.

There you have a super simple greeting card in a matter of minutes. The Mini Glue Dots certainly speed up the process of adding ribbon to any project.

Amazing You with Color and Contour

I just love playing with the Color and Contour Bundle in the annual 2021-2022 catalog. It is pictured on page 98. I started today’s card with a Basic White card base and layered it up with some Basic Black and Polished Pink cardstock.

I love this bundle and decided to go for all black stamping. I used the blending brushes to soften a piece of white cardstock with Polished Pink and Soft Succulent ink. I added a few dotted spatters with Memento Black and Polished Pink.

Directions

Score Garden Green cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
Layer Cinnamon Cider and Hand-Penned DSP panels to card front.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss Mint Macaron with Tasteful Textile Folder.
Crop two scalloped die edges in Cinnamon Cider cardstock and cut to measure 5 ½. Attach on both sides of the Mint Macaron panel and layer to the center of the card front.
Use the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine to crop white rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
Stamp greeting in Memento Black ink and attach to card front.
Stamp Hand-Penned flower in Memento Black Ink and stamp coordinating colors with stamps from bundle.
Crop the large flower using coordinating dies and attach to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Attach 4 x 5¼ white panel to the inside and decorate the inside panel as desired.

Feel Better Wild Roses

Today’s card features the Wild Roses Background stamp pictured on page 118 of the annual 2021-2022 catalog. I began with a Rich Razzelberry card base and added some color using the Stampin’ Blending Brushes. I only used two colors, Rich Razzelberry and Crushed Currry.

Rich Razzelberry Cardstock- 5½ x 8½ (card base), ¼ x 4-1/8, 1½ x 2½

Crushed Curry Cardstock- 4-1/8 x 5-3/8, 3/8 x 4-1/8
Memento Black Ink
Rich Razzelberry Ink

Directions

Score the Rich Razzelberry cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card base.
Use the Stamparatus to stamp background image in Memento Black ink.
Use the Stampin’ Blending Brushes to create an array of color using Rich Razzelberry and Crushed Curry ink.
I began with Rich Razzelberry to creating a dark section and continued with that same color adding less ink and using a lighter touch.
Cut this panel of color you created to measure 4 x 5¼.
Assemble card as shown in the image.
Add a 4 x 5 ¼ white panel to the inside and decorate as desired

Early Espresso White Cardstock- 3 ¾ x 2- 5/8, 4 x 5¼
Watercolor Paper-3 x 4
Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set
Water Painters
Stazon Jet Black Ink
Bumblebee Ink
Early Espresso Ink
Old Olive Ink
Pool Party Ink
Double Oval Punch
Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine
Stamparatus
Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Hammered Metal Embossing Folder
Stampin’ Dimensionals

Directions

Score Bumblebee cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card base.
Dry emboss the large piece of Early Espresso with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder and the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and attach to card front.
Layer the smaller Early Espresso panel on the Bumblebee panel and attach to the center of the card front.
Use the Water Painters and Pool Party to create a background. (Make it Monday Video #17). Let dry @15 minutes or you can speed up the process with the heat tool.
Once the background is dry, use the Stamparatus and Stazon Jet Black ink to stamp small sunflower onto the piece of pool party watercolored background.
With the Water Painters and coordinating inks, apply color to the sunflower. Add black dots if desired. I used the splatter dots from the Forever Fern stamp set.
Crop image using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and add to the center of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp greeting and crop with the double oval punch. Attach to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My hubby and I recently returned home from a visit to Virginia Beach to be with his mom. While it was not a vacation, as she is unable to live alone, it was an enjoyable visit. When we got home, I was thrilled to see my Stampin’ Up! order had arrived. Nothing is more exciting that getting a Stampin’ Up! order from UPS. Right???

One of the new toys in my order was the Daisy Garden background stamp and oh boy it is beautiful. Today’s card was inspired by a sample in the annual catalog on page 106. Enjoy!

Directions

Score Rich Razzleberry cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold & burnish to create card base.
Attach Bumblebee panel to card front.
Use the Daisy Garden background stamp on white panel using the Stamparatus and Memento Black ink.
Color the leaves using the Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Marker Combo and attach to card front.
Stamp several floral images using Bumblebee and Rich Razzleberry ink and fussy cut flowers and randomly attach to stamped image.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and Stitched So Sweetly dies to crop Rich Razzleberry and Basis White rectangles.
Stamp the greeting in Rich Razzleberry ink and layer rectangles and attach to card front.
Cut a bee from coordinating dies in the Garden Wishes Bundle. Color if desired and attach to one of the flowers on the card front.
Attach 4 x 5¼ white panel to the inside and decorate as desired.

If you are like me then you love looking at the catalog for all the amazing card designs. Today my card, created with my crafting friend this past weekend, was CASED from the January – June catalog. If you are not familiar with the term CASE, it is what we crafters lovingly refer to as Copy And Share Everything.

While this card was not copied exactly, it is close. We used the Art Gallery Bundle. See if you can spot the difference.

Directions

Score Basic White cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold & burnish to create card base.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to dry emboss the Highland Heather cardstock using the Parisian Flourish folder and attach to card front.
On the larger white panel stamp the floral images in Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to cut out images with coordinating dies.
Layer the images along the right side of the card front.
Stamp the greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink on small white panel and cut out with die from bundle. Layer greeting across the floral images as shown.

I think the designers at Stampin’ Up! are amazingly talented, so of course I don’t have any problem copying them. After all the highest compliment is when someone copies your crafting right? When copying, always give credit where credit is due. Happy Crafting and Happy Casing!
