Forever Fern Birthday-Favorite Things Friday!

One of my absolute favorite stamp sets in the annual catalog is the Forever Fern set. I love, love, love this set and so I am sharing with you today a card I made for my boss this week. It was his birthday on Valentine’s Day!

#blessedbycards

This set is considered a Distinctive ink set and is pictured on page 73. I love the details and you can even get the Forever Flourishing dies that coordinate with many of the stamps. I only wish there was a Happy Birthday greeting in this set. As you can see it is a great set that is elegant and yet masculine at the same time.

I started with a Basic White card base and on another piece of white I stamped several of the leaves in Old Olive, Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz. I cut the cardstock on the diagonal and added a strip of Garden Green. I used the Black Memento ink for the splatter. The greeting, stamped with Garden Green ink, is from Framed Florets which is featured in our Spring Mini catalog.

I hope you will stop back again for more card inspiration! Don’t forget to join me each Monday for a Make It Monday tutorial. Happy Stamping!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Think Spring-Sentimental Park Bundle

Happy Tuesday! I am so glad the weather is beginning to warm up. I love winter, but I also love it when the flowers begin to bud. I hope this card gets you in the mood for spring.

#blessedbycards

I began with a Garden Green card base to get me in the mood for fresh cut grass. I do love the smell of fresh cut grass, but I am not a fan of the candles that try to mimic this smell. I want the real thing.

On the front of my Garden Green card I added a layer of Basic White CS. I am using the Sentimental Park Bundle featured in the new Spring Mini catalog. I stamped the leaves in Garden Green and the flowers in Polished Pink. I then used the flower dies to crop a variety of sized using Polished Pink CS.

The greeting is from the Sentimental Bundle and is stamped in both Garden Green and Polished Pink inks. I love how versatile this stamp set is and I also love the script with the printed greetings. This is a super simple card and a perfect way to reach out to someone today.

I hope your day is blessed-Happy Stamping!

Two Things-Favorite Things Friday!

So today, I thought I would share with you two favorite things and although they are totally unrelated, they are still favorite things!

First, I am just loving the new Cane Weave embossing folder. It adds such great texture to any card. I am using it today in combination with the Two Tone Flora stamp set. My card is created with Highland Heather cardstock and the images are stamped with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks.

This embossing folder is featured in the new Spring mini catalog.

My second favorite thing is teaching a monthly class at my local nursing home, Mother of Good Counsel Home and here is just one of the cards they will be making today. I began with a Real Red card base.

The black checked strip was created using the Buffalo Check Background stamp which is sadly now retired. Yes, it was a favorite and as you can see I am still using it. I do tend to use retired products when working with my friends from Mother of Good Counsel because we all loved our retired things and it just feels good to keep using them.

The large hearts and the greeting are current products and available in the 2022-2023 annual catalog, but don’t go looking for the small hearts, they are long gone, but you can always use the new Country Bouquet Punch.

Big Hooray and Two Tone Flora

And now that we are into February it is good to know that I am keeping my New Year’s stamping promises. One to use more Stampin’ Up! In-Colors and two, to feature more products from the 2022-2023 annual catalog. I used the Starry Sky ink for the flower and the greeting. To create a softer/lighter image for the solid flower, simply stamp off on some scrap paper before adding image to your white panel.

My card base is Starry Sky CS and I added a white panel to the card front before adding a layer of the Sun Prints DSP. Layering is such a fun way to create a clean and simple card.

Although the new In-Color, Starry Night, is the only ink I used, my card today also features the Two Toned Flora from the spring mini catalog, and two products from the annual catalog, the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper pack and the Big Hooray stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I am really loving how super easy it is to create elegant cards using the Two Tone Flora Bundle! I hope you create and share something beautiful today! Happy Stamping!

Sentimental Park Bundle

Hey all, happy Tuesday! I am excited to share the Sentimental Park Bundle with you today. This bundle has some great sayings and so many beautiful flowers. I am also using the new 3-D Cane Weave embossing flower. I decided to emboss a white panel and attach it to my white card and I have to say I love the look.

The other panels were created using the Sun Prints Designer Series paper pack that can be found in the 2022-2023 annual catalog. Notice the white flowers on the blue panel? I created these by stamping one of the flower stamps in this bundle with Craft White ink. They are so soft and I think they go well with this paper.

I stamped the greeting in Night of Navy ink directly to the Gray Granite DSP panel. Both panels are backed with some Night of Navy CS. To add just a bit more definition and some more of those adorable flowers, I stamped the small bunch of flowers on a scrap of Basic White CS, cropped with the coordinating die and then colored with my Night of Navy Blend Combo markers. The centers of the flower are colored with a Daffodil Delight Blend.

I hope you enjoyed this card. I really love how the Cane Weave Embossing folder looks on this card. I added all my panels and flowers with my Tombow Liquid glue. I did not use the Stampin’ Dimensionals as I thought the card itself had enough layering, but if you are hand-delivering your card creation, I think the Stampin’ Dimensionals would be a nice touch.

Happy Stamping!
