If you are not familiar with Mystery Stamping it is a fun virtual event where a leader give mystery clues for each step of the card making process. It is the perfect set to celebrate love, not just Valentine’s Day, but anniversaries, weddings and more. My card today was created by my daughter Breanne while she was home for the holidays. The cupcake evolved in the United States in the 19th century.
According to Google, “cupcake recipes” are the fastest growing recipe search.
Cupcakes were finally decorated with frosting in the 1920’s. Cupcakes were frosted in either Chocolate or Vanilla Frosting.
In 1947 cupcakes were re-designed and got the look they have today, thanks to D.R. “Doc” Rice.
In New York City cupcake shops like Magnolia Bakery gained publicity in their appearances on popular television shows.
In 2005, the first nothing but cupcakes bakery in the world was opened called Sprinkles Cupcakes,
There are about 400 cupcake bakeries in the United States.
In the US, approximately, 770,000,000 cupcakes are consumed per year.
Cupcakes are pretty sweet, but I have to admit I would rather have an homemade Christmas sugar cookie. Perhaps cut out sugar cookies are my favorite because they are a once a year treat and cupcakes are more of a year round treat. Either way, today’s card features the sweet cupcakes from the Measure of Love stamp set featured on page 32 in the annual catalog.

I hope you are all enjoying your holiday weekend. One of my new favorite Thanksgiving traditions is having Thanksgiving at my daughters and then as a family, we decorate her apartment for Christmas. The day is typically filled with decorating fun, a few drinks, dinner and of course games.
When the kids were younger, we would typically decorate the beginning of December and then watch the Christmas movie “Elf”. While they have grown up and moved on, I have not. I still love that movie, but it will indeed need to wait for later in the month.
Here is a picture of my daughter’s Christmas tree. What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, be blessed, Renae
Thanks again to my friend Cherie from Columbia, MO who created both of today’s cards. She came to visit at the beginning of October to attend the Cards and Cocktails event that I hosted for World Card Making Day. That was great fun and we are definitely doing that again, although I don’t think I am going to wait until next October! I was thinking of a January event to ring in the new year, stay tuned for details on when and where!
Both of today’s cards were created using the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set. It is quite appropriate as the weather here in St. Louis is quite brisk. The leaves are beginning to turn, but are not as vibrant as the ones in our card samples,! Oh well, perhaps next year.

One of my absolute Favorite Things is being married to the most wonderful man in the world, or in the entire Solar System, as my daughter used to say….when she was three year old. LOL
Really, I am very blessed to be celebrating 33 years with my beloved husband today! Wow! I am not sure where those years went, but I know I am extremely blessed and the honeymoon continues! We have two beautiful children who are now young adults.
Time certainly has marched on and I am loving each new chapter of my life with my beloved. I created this card especially for him and thought I would share it with you too. I just love this adorable little owl from the Frightfully Tag Dies.
Unfortunately in all my Stampin’ Up! toys I do not have a large Happy Anniversary stamp, so this one is retired, so sorry! But the Misty Moonlight Ink is still available. The greeting is stamped on Basic White CS and cropped with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
I hope you have a blessed day. Create something beautiful to share with others!
