Happy Monday….Did you know that modern scrapbooking first emerged in 1800 when photography was invented. Scrapbooking is still popular today because it is all about expressing one’s thoughts, feelings and sentiments. It’s about preservation of memories and special moments, and recording family stories. Scrapbooks were cherished and kept by families for many years. Welcome to our Close to My Heart Friends!
The Fields of Bloom stamp set is great for creating card but is also one of those sets that would enhance any scrapbooking page. I hope these projects have inspired you to let your creative juices flow.

Hello my stamping friends I hope you are all planning to have a relaxing holiday weekend. Today I am stamping with my nursing home friends at Mother of Good Council and thought I would share my cards with you. I am using some oldie but goodies today and yes, they are all retired, but you can still create beautiful cards with whatever stamp sets you have in your stash.
My first card was created using the butterflies from last month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. I used the retired Wisteria Wonder cardstock and ink to stamp a tone on tone look.
For my second card I used the retired Nature’s Prints and Happy Thoughts stamp sets. I used a current ink, Berry Burst and a retired ink, Pistachio Pudding. Remember that color?
For my last card I used the Field of Flowers stamp set, Shaded Spruce (current), Lovely Lipstick (retired) and Memento Black (current) inks. I think they are going to like this one because of the bright colors. It will be fun to see how many come to the class today!
FYI-There will not be a Make It Monday video this week. No, the holiday weekend is not making me lazy, although that would be nice. Many of you know that my mom passed away 2 years ago in June and unfortunately on Sunday, my Aunt (mom’s sister) passed away so I will be busy gathering with family for the funeral and burial. I appreciate your understanding and will be back with another Make It Monday in June. You can also join me on Wednesdays for a Weekly Wednesday video to make a card together.

Happy Monday all! I do hope you all had a beautiful weekend and enjoyed celebrating those special women in your life on Mother’s Day! Today I am super excited to share with you three cards and the gorgeous Thoughtful Journey paper pack. This new designer series paper comes in a 6 x 6 pack with 48 sheets and the watercolor images are so beautiful it will be hard not to create the perfect card.
I am so amazed by the talents of this designer and I know I will be ordering a few more packs of this paper. The watercolor images are so soft and welcoming, plus it makes creating gorgeous cards a snap.
I hope you have had a chance to check out the new online exclusive bundle from Stampin’ Up! I know you are going to love it! The Latte Love Bundle is only available online and will not be featured in the new catalog. Speaking of new catalog, the 2024-2025 new annual catalog goes live tomorrow, May 1st.
Today is the final day to purchase products from the Last chance list! Some of these items are on sale for up to 60% off! Now that is a big deal. Stop back tomorrow for the digital download of the new annual catalog.
Now back to that Latte Love Bundle! My card today was created for my upline, Brian King, was a thank you for organizing a team card swap. I will be sharing my swap card later this week and then hopingly when I receive the cards created by my teammates, I will be able to share them too! Look for that adventure toward the end of May or the beginning of June. It will all depend on when I receive my cards.
I started with a Basic White card base and added a thin layer of Pecan Pie. I used the brand new Eyelet 3-D Embossing folder that will be featured in the 2024-2025 annual catalog and ran it through my embossing machine using a piece of Boho Blue cardstock. For my cup rack, I embossed a piece of Pecan Pie with the Timber 3-D embossing folder and added it across the Boho Blue eyelet panel for a cup rack. I was really hoping this would give the look of wallpaper in a kitchen. What do you think?
I cropped the cups with the coordinating dies in the Latte Love Bundle and used a Stampin’ Dimensional to add them to the card front. I added a black dot using a Sharpie marker in the center of each hanging cup. The thank you is from the Throughout the Year stamp set and is stamped with Memento Black ink. I used my paper snips to cut an angle and added it to my card front using a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I am really loving this cute little bundle and hope to do a Make it Monday tutorial very soon. Don’t forget the Latte Love Bundle is only available online under the “Online Exclusives”.Happy Stamping!

Last week I posted a video from Stampin’ Up! featuring the Simply Zinnias Collection. Click here if you missed that. This is an amazing bundle and I have to admit the paper is pretty great. Here are just a few cards created by Stampin’ Up! using this collection.
I am usually not a sequin girl but I have to say they look pretty great on these card and really seem to add that needed pop! Did you know that you can purchase the colored sequins separately? I mean these are pretty colorful so you might need a second pack! Right?
These cards were all created using a little bit of everything from the collection. I am amazed at how detailed the embossing folder is. One of the tips Stampin’ Up! shared is to use watercolor paper with the embossing folder to get an even deeper detailed look. Very cool! Happy Stamping!
