Do you know the Father? Jesus tells us that no matter how far we stray there will always be a place prepare for us in Heaven. All we have to do is invite Jesus into our hearts and that includes the daily joys and sorrow of living on this side of heaven. Heaven is truly a mystery and while we might have an idea of what it will be like, we really don’t know. And so we walk by faith and not by sight. What we do know is that Jesus is the way to the Father and the Father dwells in heaven.

So how do we get to know Jesus better? I choose daily prayer. It allows me to invite Jesus in and allow Him to take control of my life so when disappointments and sorrow come, I will not be shaken. Perhaps you like to pray daily as well. Perhaps you enjoy reading daily scripture and perhaps you give of yourself totally in service to others.

As long as you remain close to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, you will find the grace and comfort you need. Yes, heaven is real and yes, there is a place for all of us in the Lord’s kingdom. So go ahead, invite him in, and spend some quiet time listening for his voice. I know you will not be disappointed.

Lord Jesus you are the way to the truth. Let our hearts be set on fire with your love. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on you.

An Alphabest “HI”

Here is a fun card using the Alphabest stamp set pictured on page 166 in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. The coordinating Best Label Punch was used to add a little dimension to this project. This card works best as a square card and you can change up the colors to reflect your favorite palette.

The base of this card was created by dry embossing the card front using the Strips and Splatter Embossing Folder. Once you decide how big you want the card base to be, cut a Basic White pane 1/4-1/2″ smaller depending on how big of a border you want. My square envelopes measure 5¾ x 5¾, so my card base measures 5½ x 5½ and my white panel is 5 x 5.

Stamp in desired colors and punch with the Best Label punch. My card is stamped with Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Soft Sea Foam. The border for “Hi” is stamped with Memento Black ink. You can use rhinestones, sequins, pearls or whatever bling you have on hand to create a fun look on your card.

Colorful Flowers-Favorite Things Friday!

Don’t you just love colorful flowers? The only down side is depending on what kind, they don’t last very long. I love tulips and they definitely don’t last long after they are cut. Today’s flowers will not fade. I used the Color and Contour stamp set and some of our famous watercolor pencils. To create the blended color look on the flowers, I used a blender pen.

I started with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Pacific Point (2 ¾ x 4 ¼). The flowers are stamped on scrap white, colored and cropped with coordinating dies. The greeting is from Something Fancy.

The Pacific Point is retiring and may not be available, but Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight or Blueberry Bushel would be great alternative. This is a super simple and very quick card, but I hope it inspires you to create something beautiful.
