Happy Mother’s Day-Sunday Wisdom

Today is Good Shepherd Sunday and it is also Mother’s Day, so Happy Mother’s Day to all women who at one time or another used wisdom to shepherd one of God’s precious children, regardless of how old.

I think it is wonderful how Jesus cares for all of us, calls us each by name and will not abandon any of us regardless of how hard we might try to stray from the flock. Jesus will leave the 99 to search for that one lost soul and that is great news to all of us, because if you are like me then you may have strayed a time or two in your life.

Jesus loves us with an unconditional love, much like the love of a mother for her child. The Lord blessed me with two beautiful children and I am forever grateful. I am also blessed to still have my mom, a devoted to Christ 84 year old who is carrying Jesus forsaken in the form of cancer. Suffering is never easy, but praise God she is not in great pain and while she tires easily, is devoted to watching Mass on EWTN and saying her daily prayers. What a gift.

My heart goes out to all of you who may be missing your mom on this day and I pray that the loving memories you hold of her will sustain you on this day.

Thank you Jesus my Good Shepherd, for always guiding me and loving me, even when I went astray.

Dahlia Days Bundle-Favorite Things Friday

I love the Dahlia Days Bundle! Unfortunately it will be retiring at the end of June.

Today’s card begins with a Night of Navy card base and an Old Olive accent that features these beautiful Dahlia flowers. I stamped the leaf with Old Olive ink and the fern with Pear Pizzazz. The flowers are cropped with coordinating dies and added to create a beautiful bouquet.

Nature’s Prints Bundle-Best Wishes

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you are having a blessed week and enjoying flipping through the new 2022-2023 annual catalog. I hope your list is long, I know mine is LOL!

Today I am sharing a card that I created using the Nature’s Prints Bundle #158801 $55.75, pictured on page 91. I began with a Night of Navy card base and stamped the larger ferns in Smoky Slate some dark, some light and then added it to the card front. I then stamped the small flowering fern with Night of Navy on a Basic White panel three times and backed it with a Night of Navy accent.

I added some Night of Navy color to the edges of the greeting using a Sponge Dauber and layered it to the card front using some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I can’t wait to share the Sun Prints 12 x 12 Designer Series paper with you as it coordinates beautifully with this bundle. Check out the Sun Prints Collection for more coordinating products.
