Today, I have a fun card for spring that features the Sweet Citrus Bundle and the new matching Hybrid Embossing folder. If you are not familiar with the Hybrid folders, you are going to love this. These embossing folders make it easy to emboss and cut at the same time. Enjoy!

A Closer Look!

This is the stamped image using Calypso Coral and Pumpkin Pie. In today’s card, I used Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody.

Sweet Citrus Card

This is the embossed only image on Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I just love the detail on this embossing folder-AMAZING!

This is an image of the hybrid embossing folder. I know you are going to absolutely love this! It will bring such life to your sweet summertime cards.

I will Never Leave You-Sunday Wisdom

Have you ever been so blinded by what you thought was true that you actually missed out on something real? Sometimes we let our fears and our presumptions of what we think other people are doing and saying steal our joy. And so, Jesus wept.

God always stands ready to welcome us, regardless of what we have done, how we have failed and especially when we turn away from him in anger. He is not making a list of how to get back at us. He wants to offer us forgiveness, mercy and peace. When we experience a mercy so full of love and compassion, we realize it not only forgives our sins and weaknesses, it changes our hearts.

Jesus weeps for us and waits for us. He longs to fill that part of our heart that is missing. When we struggle He is by our side. When we are filled with grief, Jesus longs to hold us close to His Sacred Heart, even if we cannot feel His presence, He is with us. Jesus understands our darkest hours and is waiting to comfort and console us.

So with faith and confidence in God’s unconditional love and abundant mercy, let us turn to him in our time of need and ask for forgiveness. He will heal us!

My Lord and My Savior, in good times and bad, thank you for never abandoning me.

Love Cats-Favorite Things Friday!

Favorite Things Friday, Just Because Cards / March 24, 2023

These cute cats are one of my favorite fun sets in the January-April 2023. I combined it with the Rain and Shine Designer Series paper to create this playful card. Even if you are not a cat person, you have to admit, they are stinkin’ cute.

I started with a Flirty Flamingo card base because it matches the designer series paper in the Rain or Shine paper pack. The cats are stamped with Memento Black ink on a 2-1/8x 2-1/8 square of Basic White CS and mounted on a 2¼ x 2¼ square of Flirty Flamingo. I used the Flirty Flamingo Blend marker to color in the hearts. It is the perfect compliment to these cute kittens.

I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut the greeting and attached it to the card front with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Never underestimate the power of your Paper Snips. Happy Stamping!

Two Tone Flora-Thinking of You

Flowers-Birds-Butterflies-Nature, Thinking of You / March 22, 2023

When it comes to sending someone a hand-stamped card, you can never go wrong with flowers and a thinking of you sentiment. Today, my Thinking of you card begins with the Two Tone Flora Bundle and the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I chose Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze as my flower colors.

I began with a basic white card base and added another layer of white that I first embossed using the Painted Texture 3-D Embossing folder. I really love the white on white look. The leaves are stamped in Old Olive and the greeting (7/8 x 2-1/2) in Basic Black.

I added a few gold pearls for some bling to compliment my flowers and that is how easy this card came together. Try stamping these beautiful flowers in different colors or switch out the embossing folder for the new Cane Weave folder for a whole new look. Either way I hope you have fun creating something beautiful today. Happy Stamping!

In all of my samples, I used the same greeting, but this technique will work for any stamped image you want to make the focal point of your card. Add some bling and really step it up! Rain or Shine You’re On My Mind!

The Rain or Shine Designer Series paper featured in the mini January -April catalog is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I love these little critters. They are so bright and cheery, even if it is raining.

I started with a Balmy Blue card base and added a layer of Basic Black and then a layer of Rain or Shine DSP to the card front. Yes, I fussy cut Mr. Fox and the little flower bouquet, but you have to admit, they make the card. The sentiment is from Nature’s Prints featured in the 2022-2023 annual catalog.

Did you know that many of the products in the mini catalog will be retiring soon. I know it is hard to believe we are almost to the end of the mini and the annual catalog. So little time and so many great stamp sets!!! The retired lists will be coming soon, so grab your favorite sets while you can and as always, Happy Stamping!

Flowers-InKing Royalty March Blog Hop!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s March Blog Hop! Despite the occasional cold spell or snowfall in some areas, we are well into Spring – and we are ready for the flowers to bloom. We are excited to share our flower-filled creations with you and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

For today’s card, I decided to dress up a panel of our Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper. The flowers and clouds were just too perfect to pass up. Sometimes I like to challenge myself to use the edges of our Designer Series paper so nothing goes to waste. The turtle and the fox on the edges were already half cut off on the 12 x 12 sheet, so I just added them to the side of my card, so these adorable critters would not be forgotten.

Yes, I do love me some paper that I can fussy cut, so I grabbed my Paper Snips and went to town. I really do like this paper pack. It is so fun and bright, perfect for a springtime birthday.

Okay, so I could not resist this stinkin’ cute rabbit, or a good fussy cut, so I created a second card to share with you, using the same Rain or Shine 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper pack. You will find this paper on page 51 in the mini January – April 2023 catalog.

This cards is essentially the same as the first one, I just used the rabbit instead of the turtle and the fox. I also did not add the layer of white behind the Designer Series Paper. The birthday greeting from both cards is from the Peaceful Moments set featured in the 2023 annual catalog. Happy Stamping!

Hope Anchors the Soul

Get Well & Sympathy, Thinking of You / March 14, 2023

I believe that everyone needs a little hope now and then. The Hope and Prayer stamp set featured in the 2023 Annual catalog is perfect for sending a little hope in the mail. I hope my card today brings a ray of hope to you today. I am a firm believer that there is always room for hope, so if you are having one of those days, I hope my card cheers you up just a bit.

I began with a Basic White cardstock and added a layer of Sun Prints Designer Series paper. The first layer measures 4 x 5 -1/4 and the smaller layer measures 2-1/2 x 4 and is backed with a 2-5/8 x 4-1/8 panel of Basic White cardstock. The greeting is stamped in Night of Navy on a Basic White panel (1-3/4 x 2-3/4).
