Designer Series Paper

Heartfelt Anniversary!

This is a clean and simple card using the New True Love Designer Series paper in the JJ2021 Spring mini and the Heartfelt Bundle in the annual catalog. I absolutely love this paper just the way it is, but I also love how it can be colored to create a totally different look. Stay tuned for future blog posts on that one!

Celebrating love and accomplishments can be so much fun. While this is actually an anniversary card for a young couple, it could also be used to celebrate milestones, like the number of years at a job or the number of years as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator!

You too can sign up to be a demonstrator and before you know it, you would be celebrating a one year anniversary of fun and fantastic card making!

Right now, Stampin’ UP! is offering a extra special gift of five 6×6 paper packs for all who sign up before the end of February. Just $99 and you can create your own kit of $125 worth of stamping toy, plus you would also get the free business supply kit. If that sounds fun to you, just CLICK HERE and get the details. I would love to have you on my team!

And now for that Anniversary card!

  • Begin with a Basic Black card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
  • To the left side of the card front add a 2 x 5 ¼” piece of the True Love Designer Series Paper.
  • Cut black and white cardstock layers and attach as follows: 2½ x 3½” white, 2¼ x 3¼” black, 2 1/8 x 3 1/8” white.
  • Stamp Happy Anniversary from Many Mates in Memento Black ink.
  • Use the Heart punches from the bundle to punch a red scallop heart and a white smooth heart and layer them together. Attach the hearts to the black and white layers with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals and attach to the card front.
  • Finish off the card with a little bling by adding a few Red Rhinestone gems.

Ho Ho Ho Perfectly Plaid

Today’s card feature the Perfectly Plaid set in the annual catalog. It is on page 60. It will not be retiring until May so there is still time for this one, not sure if there is any Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper available, but I have loved playing with this designer series pack this season.

  • Begin with a Pretty Peacock card base 5 ½ x 8 ½”. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
  • Layer a piece of 1 ¼ x 5 ½” piece of Plaid Tiding Designer Series paper to the left side of the card. I cut mine at an angle on both end.
  • Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies cut a large rectangle from Whisper White Cardstock and adhere to the card base, covering some of the plaid paper.
  • From the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper, punch three trees with the Pine Tree Punch on page 166 in the annual catalog. Layer the trees on the Whisper White rectangle.
  • Using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp Merry Christmas from the Perfectly Plaid set above the tress and the Ho Ho Ho stamp at a slight angle above Merry Christmas.   TIP:  If you cannot purchase the plaid paper, use the plaid tree stamp to create your own plaid design.
  • Layer a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card.
  • Stamp the inside sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid set in Pretty Peacock ink.
  • Again using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp the plaid tree to the bottom right under the sentiment.  I stamped the tree trunk in Early Espresso.

This is such a fun Christmas set with so many possibilities. If you would like to add this to your crafty collection, please use the current host code: URBMWZNY.

Christmas Begins with Christ!

I hope you all are gathering your stamping supplies to create beautiful Christmas Cards to send out to your friends and loved ones. This year with all that has gone on in our world, it is nice to bring a little holiday joy by creating hand-stamped cards. My card today is again using the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper, but instead of the photo side, I opted to use the beautiful silver patterned side to create this elegantly layered card. I absolutely love the way it turned out! I began with a Whisper White card base and added a 4 x 5 1/4″ layer of smoky slate. To that added a Whisper White layer that I embossed with the new Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I cut a 3 x 5 piece of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper and added it to some smoky slate measuring 3 1/4 x 4 1/4.

The sentiment from For Unto Us is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White and cut using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Stitched Circle Dies and popped with the Stampin’ Dimensionals. Around the layer of Smoky Slate and Feels Like Frost Designer Series layer I tied some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon.

This was a fun card to create and while it took a little more than two minutes to create, I feel the extra time and labor was worth it! Thanks for stopping by today! Feel free to leave a comment. I hope you will join me again tomorrow for another fabulous card surprise! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.

Sharing A Season of Miracles

Glory, wonder and miracles is what the Holiday seasons are all about and if you are like me than you love the anticipation of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I may not be quite ready for our first snow, but I do love fireplace weather, thinking about pumpkin pie and of’ course making my Christmas shopping list. Today’s simple card is again using the Feels Like Frost 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper and a little rhinestone bling.

I started with a card base using one of our In-colors, Seaside Spray. I love the softness of this color and to me it reflect the freshly fallen snow in the paper. For a little bolder contrast I stamped the greeting in Night of Navy ink and mounted it on a rectangle of some Whisper White cardstock, then layered that on top of some Seaside Spray measuring 7/8″x 4 7/8″. The greeting is from the For Unto Us set.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope this card inspires you to create something beautiful today. Stop by tomorrow for a little more challenging card using the silver patterned side of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper.

First Snow begins with Feels like Frost!

Today’s card was created using the Feels Like Frost 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. I love this beautiful printed paper and how easy it is to create an elegant card in just a few minutes. I began with a Night of Navy card base and added a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of the Feels Like Frost paper, stamped the greeting from the For Unto Us stamp set in Night of Navy ink and added a little bling using our basic jeweled rhinestones. It truly was that simple.

One tip to keep in mind when using this printed paper is to pay attention to the pattern or image when you cut so the image is in the correct orientation. This was such a simple card and it literally took only a few minutes to create. I think the hardest part was trying to decide which sentiment to use from the For Unto Us set because I love them all. LOL

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join me tomorrow for another super simple creation using our Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. Feel free to leave a comment, I’d love to know what you think! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.
