Two Things-Favorite Things Friday!

So today, I thought I would share with you two favorite things and although they are totally unrelated, they are still favorite things!

First, I am just loving the new Cane Weave embossing folder. It adds such great texture to any card. I am using it today in combination with the Two Tone Flora stamp set. My card is created with Highland Heather cardstock and the images are stamped with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks.

This embossing folder is featured in the new Spring mini catalog.

My second favorite thing is teaching a monthly class at my local nursing home, Mother of Good Counsel Home and here is just one of the cards they will be making today. I began with a Real Red card base.

The black checked strip was created using the Buffalo Check Background stamp which is sadly now retired. Yes, it was a favorite and as you can see I am still using it. I do tend to use retired products when working with my friends from Mother of Good Counsel because we all loved our retired things and it just feels good to keep using them.

The large hearts and the greeting are current products and available in the 2022-2023 annual catalog, but don’t go looking for the small hearts, they are long gone, but you can always use the new Country Bouquet Punch.
