We all know the right thing to do, but we do not always have the strength to do it.
In today’s gospel Jesus draws the battle lines. Jesus already possesses the Holy Spirit and carries the Good News of God’s love for all of us. The unclean spirit represents whatever forces dominate people and make them less free.
This varies depending on our life situation, but make no mistake about it, all is important, but for Jesus, power is simply for the service of others, as He continues to offer His mercy and healing to all.
We have to remember to trust, and that no temptation or sin can ever out power the light of Christ. Let us continue to trust that the light of Christ will expose our darkness and at the same time expel it.
Thank you Jesus for showing me the darkness so that with you, I can overcome it.

Sometimes I just feel like creating a clean and simple card, nothing fancy, just a simply beautiful card. The card I created today is from our note cards on page 173 in the annual catalog. The folded card measures 5 x 3 ½”.
Begin with a Basic White Note card that measures 3 ½ x 5”. This note card comes pre-scored and includes a coordinating envelope.
Stamp the Thank you greeting from the Sweet Strawberry Bundle in Memento Black ink.
Stamp the small flower in Memento Black ink four times and color the center with a Daffodil Stampin’ Blend.
Add a small bow using the Silver Metallic Edge ribbon and a glue dot under the greeting.
Arrange three small flowers to the left of the greeting.
For inside of stamp the greeting in Memento Black ink and add one small flower.
These note cards are fabulous for creating a quick and simple thank you card. There are 20 cards and envelopes in each pack. Check them out and be sure to use the Host code: ZDHDYH2D
I am helping a fellow demonstrator and friend with a virtual stamping retreat this weekend and one of the challenges is to come up with a card using Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Sahara Sand.
Now I love all of these colors and I love creating cards, but for some reason I am color challenged when it comes to color challenges and sketch challenges for that matter! LOL
I decided that I would use the New Sweet Ice Cream Bundle in the JJ2021 Spring mini catalog, so here it goes——-presenting my color challenged card! LOL
Begin with a Sahara Sand card base 5 ½ x 8 ½”. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
Use the Stitched Shapes Dies along with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine to cut out 6 of the smallest squares in Rococo Rose and 6 with Seaside Spray cardstock.
Layer the squares in a plaid pattern on a 3 ¾ x 4-7/8” piece of Sahara Sand cardstock.
Attach the plaid pattern panel to the Sahara Sand card base.
Cut the smallest stitched circle from the Stitched Shape dies in Rococo Rose cardstock and the smallest scalloped circle from the Layering Circles in Seaside Spray.
Stamp the greeting in Memento Black ink and layer the circles together. Use a Stampin’ Dimensional to attach the greeting to the card front.
Add an ice cream cone (Sahara Sand) and some scoops (Rococo Rose/Seaside Spray) and attach to the card front.
I hope these card colors inspire you to create something fun and of course I would love to see your creation. Feel free to email me you card, or you can post it on my Facebook page.
Big or small I think it is important to celebrate accomplishments. It might be a job promotion, a new job, a graduation or in this case a new car. Well at least congratulations are in order when you purchase your first car! Right?
Don’t you remember the thrill of making your very first car purchase. I do, it was a 1975 Ford Mustang and it was so cool. Only problem was it was a stick shift and I only knew how to drive an automatic, but it was such a good deal.
I bought if at an car auction with a neighbor friend of my Grandma’s and he promised he would teach me how to drive it, and he did! It was such a great car and I had it until I decided to move to San Francisco right out of college.
For sure I did not want a stick shift in San Francisco and I certainly did not want to drive it there, so I gave it to my dad. He always helped pay for my car insurance and my gas when I was in college, so really I owed him one!
Begin with a Basic Black card base 5 ½ x 8 ½”. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
With the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and the Layering Circle Dies, cut a large circle from the center of a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Calypso Coral and dry emboss the Coral panel with the Seabed 3-D embossing folder.
Layer the Calypso Coral panel on the front of the Basic Black card.
Next, cut the one circle smaller from the Whale of A Time Designer Series pack and layer it onto the opening on the Calypso Coral panel.
Use the Whale Done Bundle to stamp the whale in Pacific Point ink. Punch him out and layer him with some Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the bottom of the circle.
Stamp the greeting on Basic White cardstock in Memento Black ink and cut out using the paper snips. Add an accent layer in Pacific Point cardstock and attach greeting to the upper left side of the circle.
For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of White cardstock and with Memento Black ink stamp the Congratulations greeting from Happy Thoughts. Add a turtle in Mossy Meadow and some little fish in Pacific Point ink.
See how easy it is to create something beautiful to celebrate those little and big life accomplishments. The Whale Done Bundle is in the annual catalog and because it is a bundle you save 10%, how great is that, plus if you add a little ink and paper to your order, you will qualify for a FREE Sale-A-Bration set. Check it out!

Sometimes bad things happen to good people, but thank God we have such beautiful cards to cheer others up. Thank you Stampin’ Up! for creating such awesome coordinating products!
I am going to challenge you to make a card today to send to someone. It does not have to be for any special occasion, just send a thinking of you card.
It could quite possibly be the best part of there day. Not only that when you create something beautiful to brighten someone else’s day, it just make you feel good too!
Begin with a Night of Navy card base 5 ½ x 8 ½”. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
Using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and the Stitched So Sweetly dies, cut a frame from Night of Navy cardstock and a frame from Basic White cardstock. Stamp the greeting “sending you healing hugs” from So Sentimental in Night of Navy ink on the Basic White cardstock. If you prefer to stamp first and then cut out that works as well! You do you! Attach the White frame to the Night of Navy frame.
Layer a piece of In Good Times Designer Series paper that measures 3 x 4” on the left side of the card base.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attached the Night of Navy and greeting frames to the front of the card base.
Add three gold metallic pearls on the lower right corner.
For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of White cardstock and with Night of Navy ink, stamp the greeting from the Heal Your Heart sale-a-bration set.
The Night of Navy tiny heart is from the Kangaroo dies.
There is still time for you to earn the Heal your Heart. Sale-A-Bration will continue next month, so with a $50 purchase, you can get this set FREE! Don’t forget to use the Host Code:ZDHDYH2D Thank you so much for your order.
Did you know that Kangaroos are actually timid and shy by nature? Maybe that is why the New Kangaroo and Company Bundle in the JJ 2021 Spring mini catalog is so cute.
The Mama kangaroo looks so peaceful, but don’t be fooled, this mama kanga may have tiny feet, but she has powerful legs and can travel more than 56km/h and leap more than 9 meters in a single bound, now that is impressive.
Begin with a Real Red card base 5 ½ x 8 ½”. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
On a 3 x 4 ¾” piece of Basic White cardstock, randomly stamp the envelope from the Kangaroo & Company Bundle in Memento Black ink. Stamp a few tiny red hearts and color all the hearts with a Real Red Blend or a Stampin’ Write marker.
Using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine cut out a few hearts from Real Red cardstock and attach to the white card panel.
Cut a 3 1/8 x 3 7/8” piece of Basic Black cardstock. Layer the white panel on the black and attach to the Real Red card front.
Stamp the mama and the baby kangaroo in Memento Black ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out using the matching Kangaroo dies. NOTE: The slit in mama kangaroo’s pouch is automatically cut with this die.
Stamp the bouquet of hearts in Memento Black ink on Real Red cardstock and cut out with coordinating die and insert these hearts into mama kangaroo’s pouch.
Add the baby kangaroo to the White cardstock panel.
For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of White cardstock and using stamp an envelope at the bottom and some tiny hearts. Color the hearts red with a Stampin’ Blend or Stampin’ Write marker.
Jesus calls us to be united in our differences, to give hope to the world and offer peace to all we meet.
Peace is the treasure of treasures, the Pearl of Great Price, which Jesus purchased for all of us by dying on the cross. And just like Simon, Andrew, James and John, Jesus us is calling us to follow him in faith and in hope and to bring hope to those in need.
It won’t be easy and certainly there will be struggles and as the storms of life rage on, in the midst of it all, let us remember to thank God when things do not go our way because spiritual blessings are often wrapped in trials.
Let us trust and be confident as we continually strive to live in hope and be a beacon of peace for others.
Today my friends we have some serious business to discuss, that’s right, sweet ice cream. One of the things that made me fall in love with ice cream is its creamy texture that melts in my mouth. I love all flavors and all kinds, Baskin Robins, Maggie Moo’s, Ben and Jerry, you name it.
After my daughter returned from a visit to Rome, Italy she wanted us all to experience Gelato. So we made a trip to Gelato Di Riso on the Hill in St. Louis, MO.
It was absolutely delicious, but I have to admit I am still an all out ice cream cone fan! So of’ course I could not pass up the New Sweet Ice Cream suite in the JJ2021 Spring mini catalog and so here is today’s card.
Begin with a Flirty Flamingo card base 5 ½ x 8 ½”. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
Add a 4 x 5 ¼” Basic Black layer to the card front.
On a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock stamp the ice cream cone in Cinnamon Cider ink, adding the waffle stamp in Early Espresso to each cone, but out using the Ice Cream Builder punch.
On another scrap of Basic White cardstock stamp three ice cream scoops, one in Flirty Flamingo, one in Mango Melody and one in Mint Macroon. Punch out using the Ice Cream Builder Punch.
On a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp Happy Birthday in Memento Black in in the lower center of the card.
Add the three ice cones in a trio above the greeting. Before attaching the scoops, stamp the dotted stamp in each color behind the scoop area, then attached the scoops to the cone.
For the inside of the card, add a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp the greeting. Add some of the dotted sprinkles in colors to match the ice cream scoops.
All the supplies needed to make this sweet ice cream card are listed below. Spend $50 and earn FREE product, now that is sweet.
I highly recommend scooping up some of your favorite ice cream while you shop! Don’t forget to use the Host code: ZDHDYH2D
I just love red and black together and this Sweet Strawberry Bundle is perfect to showcase these colors. I do like strawberries, but have to admit they are not my go to fruit. However, this is certainly my go to set and I love the sweet little flowers too!
Did you know that crafting is also educational? It’s true, I learned today that the top green leafy part of the strawberry is actually called the calyx. Yup, not the green leafy thing on top of the berry, but the calyx. Who knew!
You will find this sweet bundle in the JJ2021 Spring mini and remember, it is Sale-A-Bration time, so whenever you spend $50, you earn a FREE product. If you spend $100, then you will earn the Berry Blessings Bundle!
The Sweet Strawberry Bundle featured in my card below is a perfect companion for Berry Blessings. Don’t you just love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything for us. It makes creating cards so easy an fun!
Begin with a Basic White card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
Add a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of Real Red to the card front.
Using the Stamparatus and the Buffalo Check Background stamp, stamp in Memento ink on a piece of Basic white and then cut the image to 3 7/8 x 2 ½”. Layer this on the left side of the Real Red panel.
Next, with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, cut the largest smooth oval from the Laying Oval dies from Basic Black cardstock. Cut the next oval size smaller from Basic White cardstock and layer together.
Stamp the outline of the strawberry, leaves, calyx and the flower in Memento Black ink. Then stamp the strawberries in Real Red ink, the leaves and the calyx in Granny Apple Green and leave the flower white. I added a bit of yellow to the center using one of the Stampin’ Write markers.
After stamping all the images, punch out using the Strawberry Builder punch and layer onto the Black and White oval.
To finish the card simply add a sentiment and a little bling. I used the hello there stamp from the bundle and punched it out using the New Double Oval Punch.
I left my inside blank, but you could certainly add a strawberry or even a few of those sweet little flowers.
