Today’s gospel is challenging and calls us to evaluate how well we love others. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Jesus provides us with some valuable food for thought.
Do you judge others? Judging others can be easy and sometimes just slips into our thoughts. How many times have we thought the cashier at the store was not very friendly or make a judgment when we smile at a stranger and they do not smile back. Or do we form an opinion or make a judgment on someone based on where they live, where they work or where they go to school….. even before we meet them?
Do you condemn others? We have great freedom and with freedom comes responsibility. Just because someone is guilty of an offense does not give us the right to condemn. There go I but for the grace of God. Thank you Jesus for your endless mercy and compassion.
Do you forgive others? The real challenge is how we love those who oppose us, betray us or just see the world differently from us. Forgiveness does not mean that you accept the offense or that the offense never happened. Quite the opposite, forgiveness sees a sin for what it is, forgives and moves on. This is what Jesus does for us, unconditional love, mercy and forgiveness for all of our mistakes, big and small. Forgiveness sets the victim free. Forgiveness does not judge. Remember the example Jesus gave us from the cross with his unilateral forgiveness. “Father forgive them, for they know now what they do.”
The grace of God is for everyone, so we need to pray and by placing our needs, our struggles, and our fears before the Lord we are admitting that we cannot go it alone and we accept that we need God’s mercy to love as he did.
The Lord is indeed kind and merciful. Let us strive to imitate Him.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! This is a great time of year to build your stash of handmade birthday cards, so we are sharing birthday-themed projects with you today. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My cards for this month’s blog hop feature the Artistically Inked Bundle in the 2021-2022 annual catalog. I had so much fun creating with this bundle, I couldn’t stop myself, so today, I am sharing all three cards with you.
I wanted to create a birthday card using the Gold and Rose Metallic Specialty Paper. You will find this hidden gem on page 135 in the 2021-2022 annual catalog.
Begin with a Very Vanilla card base. Add a 4-1/8 x 5- 3/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock to the card front and a 4 x 5¼ piece of Gold Metallic CS. I used the Stamparatus to add the greeting in Memento Black Ink to a 3¼ x 4½ piece of Very Vanilla CS. The flower is stamped in one of our new In-colors, Polished Pink. I cropped the leaves and the center of the flower from the Gold Metallic CS.
For my second card I used the left over Gold Metallic CS to crop the leaves and create a strip across the middle of the card front.
I stamped and cropped two flowers in Very Vanilla CS and layered them together with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bottom section of the card front was created by stamping the marble stamp image and Polished Pink ink on Very Vanilla CS.
My final card is simply stamping. I began with a Gorgeous Grape card based and stamped a variety of floral images at the top and bottom of a Basic White card panel in Gorgeous Grape Ink, Fresh Freesia, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight inks. I added the Happy Birthday greeting from Sweet Ice Cream in Memento Black Ink.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Sue Jackson at Just Peachy Stamping. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

I hope you have been having fun with the new Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. It really is spectacular. Today’s cards is a clean and simple, quick and easy card using this fancy paper that is FREE with a $50 order.
This 6×6 paper pack has great colors like Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Blushing Bride, Bumblebee, Costal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Misty Moonlight, Pool Party, Smoky Slate and So Saffron. This 6 x 6 paper pack makes creating clean and simple cards a snap. The paper does the heavy lifting because all I did was layer it to a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then mounted in on a Bermuda Bay card.
