Welcome to InKing Royalty’s March Blog Hop! Despite the occasional cold spell or snowfall in some areas, we are well into Spring – and we are ready for the flowers to bloom. We are excited to share our flower-filled creations with you and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
For today’s card, I decided to dress up a panel of our Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper. The flowers and clouds were just too perfect to pass up. Sometimes I like to challenge myself to use the edges of our Designer Series paper so nothing goes to waste. The turtle and the fox on the edges were already half cut off on the 12 x 12 sheet, so I just added them to the side of my card, so these adorable critters would not be forgotten.
Yes, I do love me some paper that I can fussy cut, so I grabbed my Paper Snips and went to town. I really do like this paper pack. It is so fun and bright, perfect for a springtime birthday.
Okay, so I could not resist this stinkin’ cute rabbit, or a good fussy cut, so I created a second card to share with you, using the same Rain or Shine 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper pack. You will find this paper on page 51 in the mini January – April 2023 catalog.
This cards is essentially the same as the first one, I just used the rabbit instead of the turtle and the fox. I also did not add the layer of white behind the Designer Series Paper. The birthday greeting from both cards is from the Peaceful Moments set featured in the 2023 annual catalog. Happy Stamping!
I believe that everyone needs a little hope now and then. The Hope and Prayer stamp set featured in the 2023 Annual catalog is perfect for sending a little hope in the mail. I hope my card today brings a ray of hope to you today. I am a firm believer that there is always room for hope, so if you are having one of those days, I hope my card cheers you up just a bit.
I began with a Basic White cardstock and added a layer of Sun Prints Designer Series paper. The first layer measures 4 x 5 -1/4 and the smaller layer measures 2-1/2 x 4 and is backed with a 2-5/8 x 4-1/8 panel of Basic White cardstock. The greeting is stamped in Night of Navy on a Basic White panel (1-3/4 x 2-3/4).

Hello all, it is so hard to believe it is already Friday. The weeks seem to be going faster and faster, unlike when I was a kid in school and could not wait for the weekend. LOL It is time again for one of my favorite monthly outings, a visit with my friends at Mother of Good Counsel Home. I love sharing my love for making cards with the residents. They are such a lovely group. I typically have about 10 people join in the fun. I know they will love the cards and I hope you do too.
Here is a close look at the three cards we will be making!

This card was created with the Rejoice in Him stamp set featured in the mini catalog. I used Soft Suede and Old Olive inks. The patterned paper is not Stampin’ Up!, but the residents won’t mind.
#blessedbycards
This card was created with some retired pink cardstock, probably Pretty in Pink. I used the Uniquely Artistic set featured in the 2022-2023 annual catalog. I do believe the greeting is from a retired set, but I used Garden Green ink and that is in the catalog.
#blessedbycards
My last card was created using retired sets, Touches of Texture and Wetlands. The leaves were stamped with Old Olive and the flowers with Lovely Lipstick. I hope you have a Fantastic Friday! Happy Stamping!

Sometimes the best cards are the simple ones. Today, I have a clean and simple card for you. With just a few tools, you too can create this card.
I began with a Basic White card base and the Garden Birdhouses stamp set. I stamped the leaves with Garden Green ink and used a blender pen to color in the leaves. The twig is colored with a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend. The Basic White panel measures 3-1/8 x 3-7/8.
#blessedbycards
I colored the birdhouse with the Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend Combo and stamped the greeting with Night of Navy ink. I then layered the stamped panel to a Night of Navy panel (3 ¼ x 4) and then to a Garden Green panel (3-5/8 x 4-1/8). This is a fun little set that is featured in the 2022-2023 annual catalog.
I hope you create something beautiful to share and as always, Happy Stamping!

Today I have a super fun technique for you and the Layered Stripes stamp in the mini catalog is the perfect stamp to show off this technique. All you need is some clear embossing powder, some versa mark ink, a heat tool and some of your favorite colors. I chose the Polished Pink In-Color for my card base and some stamping, some Bermuda Bay cardstock (4 x 5¼) ink, some Daffodil Delight and Memento Black Inks and of course some Basic White cardstock (3 ¾ x 5) and some scraps.
#blessedbycards
I first inked my Layered Stripes stamp with VersaMark and stamped it on some Basic White cardstock (3 ¾ x 5). Cover it will clear embossing powder and shake off the excess. Then apply heat using the heat tool and you will have a glossy finish. Next take a sponge dauber and some of your favorite colors and apply ink to the embossed panel. It is like magic.
Layer the Bermuda Bay and the Layered Stripes panel to the card front. I used the Stamparatus to stamp the greeting from Biggest Wish stamp set on some Basic White cardstock scraps and then cut them down and layered them on the front of my card.
This really is a fun technique and like I said this Layered Stripes stamp is just perfect. I love the vibrant colors. I hope you are inspired to try this technique. Have fun…..as always Happy Stamping!

Hey all it is time for another Make it Monday tutorial and today I am excited to share a sponging technique that you can use to create a Winter’s Night background scene. I know we are getting close to spring, but it is still technically the winter season. Although there is no snow here in St. Louis, the nights are still cold.
I am not sure about you, but I love a cold, clear winter’s night, especially if I am in my hot tub! Today’s technique is super simple and you can create your scene using our Blending Brushes or some stamping sponges. Sponge daubers will also work, but I am more proficient using sponges.
I hope you will try this technique. Leave me a comment if you do, I would love to hear what you think. Join me next week for another Make It Monday tutorial.
In today’s gospel we reflect on Jesus’ transfiguration and perhaps we are able to see a glimpse of our own conversion. During this time of preparation for the resurrection of our Lord, we are invited to an inner change that can transform our lives completely.
So how do we do that? Well, the first step is to simply spend time walking with the Lord and allow Him to supply our every need. I know sometimes this is not always easy, but we all need to be changed. We all need to soften our hearts and lean on God just a little more. It is during the challenges and difficulties in life that we allow Jesus to transform our hearts.
Just like the apostles in today’s gospel, we too can have a mountain top experience. And if you have ever experienced that then you know we eventually have to come down from the mountain and pick up our cross, but the good news is we do so with Christ by our side. Then slowly as we come to “know, love and serve the Lord,” we grow in trust. We begin to open our hearts, our eyes and our ears to the one who renews our lives.
Mother Mary, pray for us. Jesus we trust in you.

Sometimes one of my favorite things is to reach for one of our punches because they always seem to be so quick and easy when creating a card on the go. The star of today’s card is the Heart Punch pack featured on page 153 in the annual catalog and the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper pack on page 134.
#blessedbycards
This paper pack features three of our gorgeous blues, Pacific Point, Night of Navy and the new In-Color Starry Sky. For my card base and scallop heart I used the Night of Navy cardstock. The greeting is from Peaceful Moments and is stamped with Night of Navy ink.
I hope wherever you are today that you will make some time to create something beautiful and bless someone with a hand-stamped card.
