Natural Botanicals Five Minute Friday

Happy Friday! It is time again for another Five Minute Friday. Today I am sharing with you a super simple card I created using the Natural Botanicals stamp set. I used my paper snips to fussy cut the flowers before adding them to my Basic White panel.

If you are not a fussy cutting fan, you can always stamp the flower images directly to one of the 4 x 5-1/4 Basic White panels. Either way this card will only take you five minutes to create.

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base. I cut two 4 x 5-1/4 Basic White panels, one for the card front and one for the inside. I stamped the flowers with Early Espresso along the edge of a 2 x 4″piece of Basic White cardstock. Since this is a reversible stamp, I stamped the solid side of the flower with Daffodil Delight ink. I fussy cut and aligned the flowers along the left side of one Basic White panel.

The thank you is stamped with Early Espresso ink and is from the stamp set, With You In Mind. Add a few gold pearl bling and your card is ready to go. Stamp and decorate the second white panel as desired and attach to the inside of the card.

I hope you enjoyed this simple Five Minute cards using the reversible stamp set, Natural Botanticals. Happy Stamping!

Until next time, be blessed, Renae

#47 Weekly Wed. Everyday Details~Happy Birthday

Happy Wednesday all. I hope the weather has warmed up for you. Here in St. Louis, it is gorgeous. Much like our card today! LOL Today I am featuring a set from the annual catalog. The dies are amazing! Be sure to add this to your order today.

I started with a Highland Heather card base. For the rectangles, I cropped a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Basic White and Gorgeous Grape CS. The greeting was stamped in Gorgeous Grape on a 1 x 2-1/2 and then cropped with the small rectangular die. See video for details on the birthday greeting, recognize it? It is from Beautiful Butterflies. I attached all pieces to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The inside has a small butterfly, see video for details.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Sometimes it is good to color with watercolor pencils. Don’t be afraid to alter your stamps if they are not working for you. It is always fun to think outside the box. Happy Stamping!

Weekly Wednesday #46 Shades and Hues

Hey friends I am back with another Weekly Wednesday video and the designer series paper pack for today’s card is on the Last Chance list. Click Here for the Shades and Hues and other products that are on sale. I know this paper pack will get your creative juices flowing.

To create today’s card, begin with a 4 x 5 -1/4 piece of designer series paper. The color of course is your choice. I choose the Pool Party-Coastal Cabana hues. Cut the panel in portrait position (short side at the top) at 2-1/2. Simply flip the smaller piece so the solid side is showing and attach both pieces to a Basic White card base. See video for details.

I stamped the solid banner from Kiss of Texture with Pool Party ink. The greeting is from Simply Said and stamped with Coastal Cabana. The banner dies from Stylish Shapes crop this banner perfectly-who knew? I love it when everything coordinates. Add a strip of Coastal Cabana CS and a few pearls and you are all set. Love it! Natural Botanicals~Make It Monday #195

Have you ever created with reversible stamps? The new Natural Botanicals stamp set is a reversible stamp. This gives you twice as many options to create with a few simple stamps. See how you can create cards using the two-step stamping technique with these unique reversible stamps.

Let’s Take A Closer Look

In my humble opinion the two large stamps do not align perfectly, so you might have to get creative on how you use those, but the smaller ones work great. Happy Stamping!

Lord, Help Me Bear Good Fruit~Sunday Wisdom

What is the quality of your heart this week?

Today’s gospel can be challenging as it calls us to look at our own faults before judging others. In order to bear good fruit we must continually pay attention to what is in our heart.  Do you see the good in others or do you look for what is wrong or imperfect? It is important to remember that recognizing good in others, acknowledging someone’s gift does not diminish the gifts we have been given. We are all needed to build up the Kingdom of God here on earth.

To grow in holiness, we need to look at how often we wound our Lord with unkind words, actions, and even judgment of others.  The season of Lent is upon us. Now is the time to grown in understanding of our own failures, and to turn to God in humility, so we will be open to receive His Mercy.

Let us be a witness of compassion and surround ourselves with friends who speak words of love, encouragement and blessing instead of resentment, bitterness, and gossip. Remember, the quality of fruit we bear will be determined on how well we care for the quality of our heart.

Five Minute Friday Serene Love DSP

Happy Friday everyone. I thought I would start a new series for Fridays called Five Minute Fridays. I am hoping these super quick cards will inspire you to create something beautiful to share. I will keep the Fun Fact Fridays alive as well. So on Fridays you will either see a Five Minute card or a Fun Fact Friday. Either way, we will all be ready to celebrate Fridays, right?

Today’s Five Minute card is created using the Serene Love 12 x 12 Designer Series paper. This is a great paper pack and it is in the Last Chance Products sections while supplies last. Click here to see all the Last Chance Products!

I started with a Night of Navy card base. I chose the Night of Navy stripes with the Night of Navy floral on the reverse side. I first cut a 2 x 5-1/4 strip and then a 3 x 5 -1/4 strip. I used the 2″ strip for the stripes and the 3″ for the flowers. See sample above. I then added a 1/2″ x 5-1/4 inch strip of Night of Navy cardstock.

The greeting is from So Sincere and is stamped with Night of Navy ink. I cropped the greeting using the Labeled with Love die. Just add your bling of choice and you are all set. Of course you can take it a step further and color some of the flowers. Totally your call. Happy Stamping!

Love Your Enemies~ Sunday Wisdom

Last week we heard about the beatitudes and now this week, Jesus is calling us to go deeper and actually love our enemies. This is difficult on a good day, let alone if we are struggling to forgive someone who has wounded us.  But the, God is love and his Mercy is unfathomable, so what do we do.

Well, if we want to live God’s Kingdom here on earth and actually make a difference in our world, we need to do good to those who hate us, bless those who cure us, and most importantly pray for those who abuse us.  Now my friends, that is a tall order as we enter the Lenten Season, but with God’s grace, it is possible.

It seems so counter-cultural right? Society teaches us to give because we will get back, or be nice so others are nice to us. So loving our enemies is certainly uncomfortable, but then again, so is the cross. Jesus asks us to take up our cross and follow him. Follow him in this life and into paradise.  We are called to love others not because they love us, but because it is the right thing to do.

As we prepare for the Lenten season, take some time to ask God what he wants you to do this Lent and how we can change the world, one act of kindness at a time.

Kiss of Texture~Weekly Wed. #45

Well as promised on Monday I am back with two cards using the Kiss of Texture stamp set. This set makes the kissing technique super simple. Plus you don’t even need to kiss, you can use these stamps by themselves. It is very cold and snowy here, so it is a great time to be inside crafting. Have fun creating!

Here is the card without the Pool Party ribbon!

For card#1 I used Pool Party in for my solid square and Shaded Spruce to kiss the flower image. See video for details on the kissing technique. The greeting is from Simply Said and stamped with Shaded Spruce ink. I cropped the square images using the Stylish Shapes dies. These are such amazing dies, I hope they never retire!

Here is Card #2

For card #2 I began with a Fresh Freesia card base and added a Night of Navy layer. I used the circles from the Stylish Shape dies to create this fun circle thank you card. The greeting is from Simply Said, stamped with Night of Navy ink and cropped with the Labeled with Love dies. The solid circles are stamped with Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia. I kissed the fun arch stamp to the blue circles with Night of Navy and to the Fresh Fressia circles with Petunia Pop ink. I added a few purple backed adhesive sequins for a little pop.

These are the Stylish Shapes dies that I used. Fun Fact: The short fat banner cuts the banner from the Kiss of Texture perfectly. I will post a card on Friday using both of these.

Stylish Shapes Dies

I know if you order these they will quickly become your go to dies for a ton of projects. If you place an order through my website, don’t forget to use the current host code. Happy Stamping!
