Nature’s Prints-Best Wishes-Favorite Things Friday!

Today’s card features the new colors in our full line of ink pads, Pecan Pie. It reminds me of our farm in Illinois. Yes, folks you read that correctly I grew up on a farm in the very small town of Merna just outside of Bloomington/Normal Illinois. Who knew! It is quiet, peaceful and small, did I mention small. Seriously there are 100 people if that living in Merna.

We did not have any festivals and although it is small, you will not find any quaint shops, so I doubt if Hallmark will be featuring us anytime soon. There is a very fun little tavern, well that is what my grandpa called it. I think the correct term is Merna Tap. We moved when I was 5 so Merna Tap was not on my list of things to do! LOL

I began with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Pecan Pie. To another layer of Basic White (3 ¾ x 5) I used Pecan Pie ink and stamped off to create the lighter looking wheat. The greeting stamped in Pecan Pie is also from the Nature’s Prints stamp set.

So whether you are a farm or city girl, I hope you enjoy this card and create something beautiful today. Happy Stamping!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Happy Valentine’s Day-Love Cats!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all my beloved friends and fellow stampers. I hope your day is filled with love, sunshine and hope. May our good Lord Bless you and fill you with His love, today and everyday.

I could not resist using the Love Cats for a sweet Valentine’s Day card. I hope you are inspired to share some love today. After all everyone can use a paper hug.

I started with a Basic Gray card base and added a layer of Real Red. The Real Red layer was embossed with the new 3-D Metal Plate embossing folder. These adorable cats were stamped using Basic Gray ink and I colored the hearts with a the dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend marker. I fussy cut the cats with my Paper Snips and arranged them on the card front.

The greeting is from the Love Cats set and is stamped in Real Red ink. I cropped the greeting using one of the label dies in the Something Fancy Bundle and attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Perhaps this card will inspire you to spread some love today, or even adopt a kitten of your own. LOL Happy Stamping!

Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Valentine Treat Mailbox-Make it Monday #96

Today I am excited to share with you this sweet treat mailbox for Valentine’s Day. I first saw this Mailbox in a larger pattern on Maymay Made it Crafts, and although I love the larger version, I wanted to create a mini mailbox so that I could get as many boxes from one sheet of cardstock.

I like creating specials treat boxes for all the ladies I work with. Since I have 22 to create a distribute, I love that this mini pattern allows you to make 4 fun boxes using just one sheet of 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock and two 6×6 sheets of designer series paper. It is a great way to maximize your paper and still provide your friends, co-workers and neighbors with a fun treat for Valentine’s Day. Although the boxes in this video are for Valentine’s Day, you can adapt them to any holiday. Have fun!

Here is a closer look of the inside of my mailbox. Fill them with your favorite treats. I added 9 Starburst candies to mine. I could not decide between mini peanut butter cups and starburst, so I know 4 mini peanut butter cups fit. Have fun filling them with whatever you decide.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Don’t forget it is still Sale-a-bration time and for every $50 you spend, you get a free product. If you are placing an order that is less than $150, please use our current host code.

Two Things-Favorite Things Friday!

So today, I thought I would share with you two favorite things and although they are totally unrelated, they are still favorite things!

First, I am just loving the new Cane Weave embossing folder. It adds such great texture to any card. I am using it today in combination with the Two Tone Flora stamp set. My card is created with Highland Heather cardstock and the images are stamped with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks.

This embossing folder is featured in the new Spring mini catalog.

Cane Weave 3-D Embossing folder

My second favorite thing is teaching a monthly class at my local nursing home, Mother of Good Counsel Home and here is just one of the cards they will be making today. I began with a Real Red card base.

The black checked strip was created using the Buffalo Check Background stamp which is sadly now retired. Yes, it was a favorite and as you can see I am still using it. I do tend to use retired products when working with my friends from Mother of Good Counsel because we all loved our retired things and it just feels good to keep using them.

The large hearts and the greeting are current products and available in the 2022-2023 annual catalog, but don’t go looking for the small hearts, they are long gone, but you can always use the new Country Bouquet Punch.

Hearts, Hearts, Hearts-Happy Anniversary!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January 2023 Blog Hop! If your craft projects aren’t already filled with hearts, then you might be behind the eight ball. No worries – we are here to help. We are excited to share our heart-filled creations with you and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I am not a big Valentine’s Day fan! I am not really sure why, I guess it just seems like a lot of hype for one day so I decided to create an anniversary card instead. Of’ course the card I am sharing with you now is so not what was in my head. LOL. I really hate it when that happens. I totally intended on creating with the Heart Punch pack, but so it goes.

Instead of the Heart Punch Pack the star of today’s show is the Cheerful Basket Bundle from the annual catalog. I kept the idea of creating an Anniversary card but trust me, it is good that I abandoned ship. Perhaps is the coming weeks I will give the Heart Punch pack another whirl.

Happy Anniversary

#blessedbycards

I started with a Pool Party card base and added a layer of the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. My colored hearts are designed to bring out the colors in the designer series paper, so I chose Pool Party, Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape. I used my Paper Snips to cut the hearts so I could bundle the colors together. I just love the tiny little heart dies in this bundle so I sprinkled a few of those in too. The greeting is from Celebrating You.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll continue to hop along with us today for more fun and inspiration. The next stop on our hop is with Lynn Kolcun at Avery’s Owlery.

Willow Tree Anniversary

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year. It is always wonderful to spend time with family and friends. I do love the holidays and it is always hard getting back into the swing of a regular routine, so today I thought I would share an anniversary card using the Willow Tree Bundle in the annual catalog.

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to share at least three cards a month that features a stamp set or bundle from the annual catalog. I love having the holiday mini and the spring mini catalogs, but sometimes I tend to ignore all the wonderful sets in our main catalog.

Project Measurements

Merriest Moments Hybrid Folder

Yesterday I shared with you a video on the Merriest Moments stamp set and Hybrid Embossing Folder featured in the July-December 2022 holiday catalog and today, I am sharing the card I created using just the floral cut out without the detailed embossing.

If you missed yesterday’s Make It Monday tutorial, click here! For all of my Make it Monday video tutorials, visit my YouTube Channel-click here!

#blessedbycards

This embossing folder is quite versatile. As you can see for today’s card I simply cut out the floral image with Fresh Freesia cardstock and did not emboss the images. I did use the Stampin’ Blending Brush to add a bit of Fresh Freesia ink around the edges for added definition.

The greeting is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink using the Flowers of Friendship stamp set. This card is also featured in the video, so again if you missed that, click here! Happy Stamping!

Bewitching Anniversary- Favorite Things Friday!

One of my favorite things is to remember the day I said “I do” to my beloved and tomorrow is our 34th Anniversary. Spoiler alert for beloved hubby as he will probably read this post before I have a chance to give him his anniversary card. Oh well, Happy Anniversary honey!

The inspiration for my card today came from fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Peggy Murwin. I tweaked it a bit using some Starry Sky and Silver glitter cardstock. I chose these two because it reminds me of my engagement ring which is comprised of diamonds and salon sapphires. I thought the Bewitching Bundle was perfect for an October anniversary.

#blessedbycards

Project Measurements

  • Starry Sky CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base)
  • Starry Sky  2½  5¼
  • Silver Glitter CS-1½ x 5¼
  • Basic White CS- 3¾ x 5, 4 x 5¼, 3 x 3
  • Pumpkin Pie CS- 3 x 3
  • Granny Apple Green CS- 3 x 3 Scalloped Contours Dies
  • Celebrating You Stamp Set
  • Starlit Punch
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Stampin’ Blend Combo: Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Starry Sky
  • Bewitching Stamp Set
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

I also chose to make only two dancing feet and used the Basic White panel as the card front, leaving more room inside for a message. Unfortunately the Witch Hat Builder punch is no longer available, but you can easily fussy cut all the witch hats in the Bewitching set. Here is the inside of my card.
