Wake up to Wednesday and these adorable Turtle Friends. Well, they look like they are a bit more than just friends. Don’t they: Oh but they are so cute and this bundle is available in the 2022 Annual Catalog (AC), at least for now. It is already March and soon some of the stamp sets in the AC will retire. That normally does not happen until June, but this year, we will say good-bye at the end of April. Stay tuned to see which ones will be retiring. I will let you know when the list is published!
Speaking of March, yesterday I totally forgot to announce the winner of our February monthly drawing, and the winner is Dolores Landfair. Congratulations Dolores and thank you for your February order. You have won a package of the Pastel Pearls!
What is the March give away you ask? Well how about a pack of Basic Jewel Rhinestones. How do I enter the drawing you ask? Easy, just place a $50 online order using the March Host Code ARG9T366 and your name will go into the drawing. Be sure that you are shopping with me and that you apply the March Host Code to qualify and I will enter your name in the drawing. Your name will be entered for each $50 order you place.
Today’s card begins with an Old Olive card base and yes, I am using some of the recently retired Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper. I hope you had a chance to grab yourself a pack last month. I had a few scrap lying around and just could not help myself. I have a feeling you will be seeing a few more cards with some of the retired papers. If you don’t have this particular paper, I am sure you can find something that will work in your crafting stash, but if not may I recommend the Bloom Where You Are Planted or the Beauty of the Earth paper pack. Both are excellent choices.
I used the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine and the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder to create a bit of texture on the Very Vanilla panel before attaching the designer series papers strip. The greeting is stamped in Evening Evergreen. The turtles are stamped with Memento Black ink and I alternated the shell colors with Old Olive and Evening Evergreen ink.
Project Supplies and Measurements
Old Olive CS- 5½ x 8½ (card base)
Very Vanilla CS-4 x 5¼ (2), 3/8 x2¾, 1-1/8 x 4½
Evening Evergreen CS-1¼ x 4¾
Daffodil Afternoon DSP- 2 x 5¼
Turtle and Friends Bundle
Hammered Metal Embossing Folder
Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
Old Olive Ink
Evening Evergreen Ink
Memento Black Ink
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive or Liquid Glue
It really did create a fun card. I love the Very Vanilla textured panel, it seems to fit will with the turtles. Add a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock panel to the inside and decorate as desired. I also think these adorable turtles would look great on the outside of your envelope.
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, be blessed, Renae

It is the perfect set to celebrate love, not just Valentine’s Day, but anniversaries, weddings and more. My card today was created by my daughter Breanne while she was home for the holidays. Once upon a time, May and June were the most popular months for weddings. Perhaps that is why my hubby and I decided that October would be a perfect month.
Well, fast forward 32½ years and now October is the most popular month to get married. No I have never been accused of being a trend setter, I just thought I would prefer one of the cooler months!
So in case you are curious here are the other most popular months: #2 September, #3 June, #4 May and coming in at #5, August! Today’s card is perfect for any bride and groom, regardless of their month of choice. It features the new Art Gallery Bundle that is available through June of 2021.
Please note the black line around the card is for easy viewing only and is not part of the actual card.
Begin with a Basic White card base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”. Fold and burnish.
Cut a 3 ½ x 4 ¼” piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock and a 2 ½ x 5” piece of Seaside Spray cardstock and later to the front of the card as shown in the image above.
Stamp the large flower (solid image) in Seaside Spray and the coordinating stamp in Pretty Peacock on a piece of Basic White cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to crop the stamped image with the coordinating dies from the Art Gallery Bundle.
Attach the flower to the lower right corner of the card front.
Next crop the bride & groom using the dies from the Well Said Bundle with Seaside Spray cardstock.
Add three Seaside pearls from the Pastel Pearl pictured on page 19 in the 2021January-June mini catalog.
If you plan to place an order for less than $150, don’t forget the host code! Our new host code is: FAVCXRDJ You can apply the host code to your cart before checking out.
Be sure to apply to host code and not coupon code. The coupon code has more characters and if you accidently apply it to coupon code no worries, it will give you an error message that code is not valid and you can add it the the host code box.
You have to check out the new Butterfly Brilliance Collection. Trust me you will not be disappointed. This collection is available now through May 3rd. Here are just a few card ideas that will help get your creative juices flowing.
You know how whenever you buy a pack of paper there is typically one or two sheets that aren’t your favorite? Well, not this pack I absolutely love every sheet!!!
Seriously, they are all so beautiful and today’s card was created using two sheets from the Butterfly Bijou paper pack. I also used the dies from the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle.
This card will be going to my sister-in-law and her husband in Virginia Beach who will be celebrating a very special anniversary later this month.
Begin with a Mint Macron base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”. Fold and burnish.
Cut a 2 x 4” piece of designer series paper from the Butterfly Bijou paper pack and layer on a 2 1/8 x 4 1/8” piece of the Melon Mambo cardstock. Attach this on the front left side of the Mint Macron card base.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the Brilliant Wing Dies to cut a Mint Macron butterfly from the designer series paper pack. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach this to the upper left side of the card base.
Stamp the Happy Anniversary greeting from Many Mates on some Basic White card scrap and punch it out using the Rectangular Postage Punch.
Cut a 1 ½ x 2 1/8” piece of Melon Mambo cardstock and attach it on an angle to the card front.
Next layer the greeting on top of the Melon Mambo rectangle and finish it off by adding a Matte Black Dot to the greeting.
For the inside, cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp a greeting in Memento Black ink. I used the sentiment from the Treasures of Life stamp set.
Attach this panel to the inside of the card.
Use the dies from Brilliant Wings to cut a solid butterfly with Basic Black cardstock and the detailed wings with Mint Macron cardstock. Layer together and add to the inside of the card.
This card was super easy because I did not even have to color the butterflies, the paper did it for me. All I had to do was cut the paper using the Brilliant Wings die.
I hope you have fun creating with this collection. I would love to hear from you and see your butterfly creations.
So since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day I thought I would offer one more card for the holiday. Did you know that making this Valentine’s Day card was so much cheaper than buying one at the store? Well, I suppose I could find one at Dollar Tree, but it would not be as fancy and this one is made the love.
I decided to go with non-traditional colors, especially since yesterdays card was filled with red hearts! Today I used the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper, the Tailored Tag punch, the hearts from Kangaroo and Company and of’ course the Heartfelt Bundle.
Begin with a Rococo Rose card base that measures 5 ½ x 8 ½”. In landscape position, (aka along the 8½” side) score at 4 ¼”. Fold in half to create your card.
Cut a 3 ¾ x5” piece of Basic Black cardstock. Use the Tailored Tag punch to punch out some designs from the Peony Garden paper pack and glue them to the black panel leaving even spaces between each design. TIP: I glued the pieces and some of them hung over the edge of the card panel. Once you are finished attaching all the pieces, flip the card to the back and trim off excess. SUGGESTION: I recommend using liquid glue to attach the pieces as it will be more forgiving when trying to create the even borders all around.
Attach the black design panel to another piece of Basic Black cardstock that measures 1/8” smaller than the panel.
Use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to cut the small heart die from the Kangaroo and Company dies in Rococo Rose cardstock. I cut 7 hearts, you may want more, less, or none at all depending on your taste in design.
Uses the Heartfelt Bundle to stamp the greeting on a piece of Rococo Rose cardstock in Memento Black ink and punch it out with the smooth heart punch. Now punch a scalloped heart in black. Attach the two hearts together and add to the front of your cards.
Because I already have a few layers going and I am going to mail this card out, I did not use Stampin’ Dimensionals, but they would look good as well, especially if you are hand-delivering your creation.
For the inside, cut a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of White cardstock and attach to the inside panel. Stamp the greeting from the Heartfelt Bundle in Rococo Rose ink. Next stamp the dotted heart in Memento Black around the rose heart.
Well Valentine’s Day is this weekend do you have any special plans? It is suppose to be wicked cold here is St. Louis this weekend and I plan to stay inside and close to the fire. My craft rooms is not too far away from the fireplace so perhaps I will enjoy both.
I have never been too big into celebration Valentine’s Day. When my kids were little we would prepare a special meal, pull out the candle and of’ course they each got a small gift at the table. It was nothing exciting, usually a pair of socks or some Valentine’s candy, but still it was fun to be together.
Now that my kids are older and out of the house, we really don’t celebrate, but perhaps this year, I will make a candlelight dinner for my hubby. Hey throw in a bottle of Champagne, a fire in the fireplace and a Hallmark movie, now that would be a great evening!
Regardless of how you celebration, I wish you much love and happiness until Valentine’s Day rolls around again next year!
The above card was made using the Heartfelt Bundle and was one of the projects we did at stamp camp last month. I hope you have a blessed and warm Valentine’s Day!
Since today is Friday and Valentine’s Day is not until Sunday, perhaps I will bring another fun Valentine’s Day card your way tomorrow.
